Your favorite pro drifter

Me... i think both driver are extremely good and yeah... it amazes me... i saw a video i think 2001 D1 where Tsuchiya drifted Taniguchi's car a HKS S15... he messed up and ended in the ditch... but they got his car fixed now. Taniguchi is a very well know drifter, he is compared to keiichi tsuchiya which is a very good complement.

Keiichi's video "Drift Bible" is nice... check it out.. heres alittle about the video..

The Techniques

Side Brakes (e-brakes), Shift Lock, Power Over, Braking, Feint and Lift Off. These are the six basic techniques you need to master to DRIFT! Tsuchiya explains and demonstrates in detail how to utilize these various techniques to drift your car. In car cameras show how he maneuvers the car from inside. A foot pedal cam and indicators shows how to use the brakes and accelerator.

Cars and Tuning Tips

Tsuchiya shows how to drift using cars with different characteristics.

He tells us which mods are necessary to drift and advice on what kind of tires to choose.

Practice Methods

After tire screeching demonstrations he always stops to break down the process of the entire maneuver. Mixing in stories from his own experience when he first started drifting, Tsuchiya demonstrates practice methods on how to control your car. Most of the moves involve complex timing and accuracy. We make sure we show the entire flow of these movements to make sure you don't miss anything!

Here are some comments on his "Bible"

"The little-known secrets of drifting are revealed comprehensively here. You can't get this kind of instruction anywhere else. If you've ever wanted to master the art of drifting, this is a great starting place "

Sam Mitani, International Automotive Editor and Japanese test-car Driver

"Keiichi is one of the most influential figures in Drifting."

DRIFTING.com

"If drifting is your religion and Keiichi is your god, then this video is your bible. If you seek the truth, you must go directly to the source. This video is it."

Edward Loh, Editor, Drifting Magazine

“ I learned by watching Tsuchiya drift. This is the BEST video on how to DRIFT! You will be drifting within days…”

Nobuteru Taniguchi, Professional JGTC and D1 Racecar driver
Even he mention Keiichi skills are god like... Keiichi is the drift king after all. heres alittle about keiichi...
Keiichi “Drift King” Tsuchiya

In '84 Tsuchiya wins the Fuji Freshman racing series 6 races in a row. His tail slide corning style earned him the “Drift King” name. The once notorious touge street racer expands his career internationally and wins the GT-2 class in ‘85 at Le Mans 24 hrs. Since 2000 Tsuchiya has competed in the JGTC 500 series with the ARTA NSX. He is one of the founders and also a judge for the D-1 Grand Prix drifting competition.

I've hyped up Nob for the past 3 year's, Keiichi is w/out a doubt, the man to beat; but Nob's choice in car's, and style, suit's me.

To be honest. In my opinion: Yes, Tsuchiya is great. But I doubt he would qualify for D1. They would let him in, hes the Drift King. But I think most, if not all of the main D1 drivers are better than he is.. Hes beyond a doubt great, though, dont get me wrong.

Well... actually Tsuchiya and a D1 driver did go off one on one... most D1 drifterz use the ebrake... to my knowledge keiichi dont use Ebrake... Well.. anyways.. back on D1... Keiichi was in a blue S15 and i think it NOB who was in a Blue Supra... they both drifted very good... the Supra seem to be faster in the straight... Tsuchiya was drifting better than the supra.. well as it went on... keiichi drifted this S curve... the supra drifted the S curve almost and spun out... Keiichi Won... both are professional race car driver.. anyways it was a great battle... I think Keiichi is as good or better than most D1 drifter... i know there are alot of better drifter than tsuchiya... but who was the first one who completed a 10 second drift ;) tsuchiya... anyways i respect your opinion Xzift but i disagree... but we have different Opinion and once again i respect that... anyways.. yes There are ALOT of better drifter than Keiichi..

You have seen him drive right???

Yep. Seen'em drive and drift. Like I said, hes great, without a doubt. Maybe its just me. Maybe I'm too focused on Komatsu And Chunky..Probably just me.

Yeah.. me too... one of the Orange 240SX driver name is Drifter X... he is known to be a great drifter... but by the way he drifts he dont look to be near keiichi or any of the D1 drifters league... I agree with you Battle... people think Signal guys are the best...

Katsuhiro Ueo
Yoichi Imamura
Yasuyuki Kazama
Yoshinori Koguchi
Ken Nomura
Manabu Orido
Keiichi Tsuchiya

 all the above are my favorites

I have no idea who this guy is but if he's a drifter he's my favourite, no competition.. I mean just look at him! Cooler than anything else!

 you dont know his name or anything you just think he look cool?!? And by looking cool he can drift?

The Signal guys arent that great. They're cool. Thats why I like them. To me, they just seem..friendlier. Maybe its just a camera thing, but they look like cooler guys. And I think they're little exibitions are awesome..

So the dude with the hair is a signal guy? Ok that's my point.. as a non-drifter I mabye look at the wrong things but when I saw this picture I thought that this guy looked soooo cool.. (don't care what he's driving....)

I don't know anything bout drifting, I just thought he was the coolest (if) drifting poser or whatever i've seen

(to rollazn)

I never said he was a poser.

I said he was a poser or whatever. That's because I have no Idea who he is. If you are helpful here on the drifting forum then you mabye would tell me who he is if you know it.

personally, my idol is Yoshinori Koguchi...when i met him, he was really nice and such. just watch the way he gracefully controls his 180SX, its so beautiful. He's been around the drifting for a long time already, and is easily considered one of the best, even though underrated at times. He doesn't care about ranking in D1, drifting to him is all about the art...

My second favorite drifter would probably be Nobushige Kumakubo. My nickname for him is probably "Smiley" because if you watch closely, and you look at him in car when he drifts, he has always got the biggest smile of all. He enjoys drifting and brings the fun into it, rather than some other guys who always keep a straight face and are so serious.

"Always drift with your smile. Some people here are too serious when they're drifting. When you are drifting, you are supposed to be happy. Because when you are out there having fun, the spectators will see it and then they can have fun too." -Kumakubo...
