Probably a silly question: is it possible to convert NFS Carbon engine sounds to use them in AC? I think some are interesting, like the one from the Camaro SS šŸ‘€

Does anyone have any idea (why this problem) when I try to open a GTR2 car file in (3dsimed)?Does it work normally in Assetto Corsa. I had this same problem years ago (I don't remember how it was resolved).Thank you in advance.

Cars in gtr2/gtl use placeholders (genstring) instead of absolute filenames depending on options etc
be sure to also fix the path if needed to point to the correct .gtr files in the .cas (you can use .. for example current directory)

Hi Guys
I Run a Facebook Page and a Patreon Page Called Aussie Big Bangers and ATCC 1960 to 1985. I have decided after 3o Days I release all my cars for Free on the Patreon Page. We Focus on Australian Racing History in the Early days of Racing and Road Cars of the Same Era
I have no problem in anyone modifying my cars when released to the Public and as I have had most of my car's scratch built from 3d Model and as you will find most of our cars have never been put into Assetto Corsa Before. Now I have decided to go right back to Australian Racing from 1956 to 1990, and we are releasing at lease 4 cars a Month which is more than any other Patreon page.
Please feel free to Join and enjoy all our cars.
Regards
Addam

I'm completely lost (excuse my ignorance)...I don't know what to change. After the losses (of Assetto content, a hard drive bug)...in trying to recover certain things...I'm literally confused about some things.I've tried reinstalling several versions of 3dsimed...and the problem is only with GTR2. I don't remember changing anything, and reinstalling (wouldn't I have to go back to the "standard" version of the program?)What intrigues me most...is that I had this problem years ago...and later everything went back to normal (because I don't remember if I did anything...)

I have to try. But without that app, you can't make pit stops... 😩
I'm sorry. :nervous:
I had a long rough year where I could barely enjoy AC at all for personal reasons.
Now that I'm ok again I just can't force my self to do more than few hotlaps per week, I even have the new URD GT3 pack getting dust in my Downloads folder and...I just can't gather enough patience anymore to go through any basic thing like installing mods.
This has been my last month. Not being able to do proper custom off-line races is killing it for me.

p.s.: I watched the "Hill" documentary, 100% devoid of any tech aspect, a bit too much speaking by the man itself, but it was nice.

Been a while since I did anything with GTR2 files. Didn't you have to extract all the .gtr files with 3dsimed first to a directory then it would pick it up properly?

I have no idea on how the Nuzzi app works deeper, but what you mean that without the app, you can't make pit stops? I always (in the few races i did) had to make pitstop and ai too with vanilla settings of the game.. i don't understand

The app is supposed to allow you to set which laps the AI pits, regardless of race length, tyre usage, fuel usage etc that the vanilla settings deal with. I think you could also set what tyres they changed to and started on. It did work for me for the first few races, then seemed to just bug out and the ai constantly pitted. It was nice for short races, forcing pitstops. AC doesn't naturally pit for tyres either, only for fuel or damage, so it was nice in that sense. Like if you wanted to do a 20% F1 race but have the AI use both compounds, you could set that up in the app.

I suppose the work around with the vanilla settings is to change the fuel usage in CM to some high number so they pit for fuel.

@Gabriele checking Nuzzi Patreon it says

  • Tested with CSP 0.2.11. (CSP Preview versions aren't tested for and may contain bugs.)
  • Min CSP 0.2.6
  • Only Compatible with consistent wet weather. (Not sessions which go from dry to wet)
  • Not compatible with CR Formula Cars.
  • Not compatible with CSP versions of the VRC Formula Alpha 2023 & 2024.
Did you tried out with the latest CSP which is free for everyone and see if the issue persist?

I have 3 CSPs, all previews šŸ˜…šŸ˜… Before, the app also worked with previews... So, "Wet weather" only means wet races? šŸ˜…

@Gabriele Try it out with the "stable" one reported is a first step to see if it solve your issue.
The fact that before worked, it does not mean that it should with newer ones. About wheather he talk about the fact that the wheather should be consistent, so if the race start with sun, should end with sun. If start with rain, should end with rain.

Detroit Belle Isle 2021 Fast AI

This is the first Assetto Corsa mod I'm uploading on GT Planet!
I have improved the AI for the Detroit Belle Isle 2021 circuit, which is one of my personal favorites!

I had hoped to race on this circuit with many sim racers, but it didn't work out as well as planned, so I learned how to create Fast AI and made this.

The lap times before and after the improvement are as follows:

The car used for the AI creation was the BMW M4 GT3 from the ACF LFM GT3 set.

As this is only my second Assetto Corsa mod, there will certainly be shortcomings compared to those made by professional modders.
If you provide feedback or advice, I will quickly update and improve the AI to make it even better. Thank you :)

Does anyone know why my Baku mods are littered with these pit boxes?
Black holes, Bermuda Triangle, CSP... they are the mysteries of the universe.

wierd, idk what is causing it. it only appears at the 1967 nordschleife by WilliamRiker. i just installed 3d tress and csp addon and also i did a clean install but the problem is still there
I see the nodes appear at Adelaide 1992 (v1.01 by Terra21 + shin956) as well. I have not tested all my 400 tracks.

CSP 0.2.7

This occurred after the recent CM data update and me testing CSP 0.2.11 and returning to 0.2.7. Although the nodes appearance could have been there before these 2 actions as I have not driven Adelaide 1992 for some time. (The nodes did not appear when I installed Adelaide 1992.)

They are stolen Forza models, Just like their Nascar pack is just the Forza models stolen again.

To put it simply, ANYTHING by simdream is stolen, They have NEVER made a single piece of content themselves. All their stuff is stolen from other games or bought 3D models from CGTrader that are meant for RENDERING and not for video games.
Nah this is not Forza Indycar 3d model, at least the ones released few months ago. This 3d model is even worse, some ACFL level of accuracy. I don't even want this for free.

The thing which concerns me more is that they include a trackpack mod. I hope they haven't used community users track and sell it through there but I wouldn't be shocked. If anyone have this disgraceful mod maybe can tell.

Of course they are, thats exactly what they did with the F1 mod that they included a trackpack. No new tracks, just the same old tracks readily available elsewhere.

Nope. I guess Forza Motorsport 5 3d model might be laser scanned because their Indycar partnership. Just by looking the FM5 Indycar 3d model it tells you how accurate is to the real car (despite they doing the 2024 spec before the new upgrades) compared to the SDD 3d model which is really far from being accurate (look aeroscreen, cockpit, all shapes...)

Something tells me whoever did this 3d model was looking to the RSS Indycar as base, which is also mostly out of accuracy and it was the first modern aeroscreen'ed Indycar IR18 3d model anywhere in the internet besides iRacing of course. Probably SDD bought it from some random guy in any 3d store (cgtrader, turbosquid, etc...), I think this one? idk

I was responding to the comment about the tracks not the accuracy or rip location of the car.

Yes, in the Pit App code, there seems to be no reference to any weather variable, only fuel, tyres and damages. However, the AI put the wet tyres at the beginning of the race, if it rains... edit: no sorry , in fact they change it to adapt the tyres to the human choice

As I'm new here, I have a question for the community: if by chance I was able to add something good to the lua code of Nuzzi apps, how could I share it ?

Would it be ok to provide some lines of code to download here at GTP, with some instructions about where to put them inside the app, for the users that own it via his Patreon ?

No... I simply selected the (GTR2 file) in the right column and clicked to open the ".car" file corresponding to the car.

Then the car would appear in its entirety on the screen (sometimes with a shadow).
After that, I selected what I wanted, that is, the file (chassis, wheels, spoilers, air intakes, etc.) according to the chosen car type (and selected the individual part) for later "import" into my "base car."

I've always done it this way (it always worked)...I don't know if there's a plugin or something else blocking it (and I can't find a solution).
I've tested three or four versions of 3dsimed (the problem occurs in all of them). And it's only in GTR2, Assetto Corsa (everything normal), Rfactor (just unzipping the ".mas" file, then I can see the parts separately), F1 Challenge (also normal).
