$399 for the XT????? WHERE?!?! That would be a STEAL! MOst XT's are going for $500+. $399 is pretty much the max price for X1800XL's, and that's what I'm getting.VIPFREAK$399 for the x1800 xt ?!You guys are nuts...
400 bucks? I got mine from newegg.com for 260 and it's a PCI express card. It's made by PowerColor, though, but it's a great card.VIPFREAKThey want $399 for that thing at BB!? Oh well AGP... not gonna have that.

They help a lot, my 05 score went from 2600 to 2900!RobcioPLWe are hardcore like that, hehehe.
BTW, the new ATi drivers have been released, not sure if there is any power increasement, but i know it now supports the ATi 1000 series.
EventFEAR runs so much better now!![]()

http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=2825370 per cent of upgrade market is still AGP
PCIe what's that?
By Fuad Abazovic in Londinium: Friday 09 December 2005, 14:57
WE LEARNED that seventy per cent of upgrade market is still AGP. There are far too many people using AGP systems that will try to get the new graphic card for the Yule shopping madness. Nvidia just cannot fill the demand and is still struggling to get its 6800 GS AGP cards out while ATI is happy with its X800 GT, GTO, XL sales. Those cards are all native AGP but some of them can be bridged with the Rialto.
When it comes to the entry level, ATI has Radeon 9550 while Nvidia wants to fight this market with 6600 chips but just cannot get enough of them. The demand is too great.
Too many of my gamer friends have AGP systems and it's much cheaper to upgrade the graphic only than to change the motherboard and sometimes CPU and memory. AMD kind of messed up as it didnt release any socket A PCIe motherboard and it's forcing its supporters to go for Sempron or Athlon 64 socket 754 or socket 939 boards. Its a great platform but it costs you money to upgrade.
Nvidia and ATI are still getting quite significant revenues from PCI sales, not PCIe. It's more than a decade old marchitecture but it's still good for many people. Longhorn might push people to upgrade. but thats late Q3 or Q4 2006. Most of the AGP based cards will be good for Longhorn Vista especially the ones with Shader Model 2.0 or higher support to support the Aero glass user interface. µ
TVR&Ferrari_FanNot mine one is something like 200MHZ and the other is 355MHZ, plus there made by 2 different companies. But I am replacing my 1GB of 2 different sticks of DDR2700 Ram, for 2GB which is 2 1GB Dimms of Dual Channel DDR3200 Ram.
Which is also low latency ram aswell, so that should allow me to finally turn up the settings higher next year yay.
How much did you pay for it?TVR&Ferrari_FanI have a AGP 256MB GF6800 GT its one of those bargin people cannot let by, if its either AGP or PCI Express.
MachOneMy first video card was a dreaded NVidia GeForce 100/200 MX. OMG That graphics card sucked...but I thought it was the uber leetness when I had it.
I now have a NVidia GeForce 4 MX onboard video. I know it sucks. I'm, planning to upgrade to a 6600 or maybe a 6800 AGP soon.
RobcioPLMX is a horrible card, it cant even run have of the games, because it doesnt have pixel shader.
Plus, using any image quality filters like FSAA and AIF KILLS the framerate. ATi cards only take a small hit when adding these features. 👍 That's why I'm going for the X1800XL. The 7800GT has more raw power and yields higher framerates, but the X1800XL excells in AIF and FSAA. They're better at it, and still run hella fast with it on. Putting that stuff on is essentially free. All thanks to the Adaptive Anti-Aliasing and ringed memory bus-thingy.RobcioPLI dont know why people get the Nvidia 6 series. Dont artifacts and things popping up bother you? Or did Nvidia fix this with some drivers?
