But I do remember the day they legalised condoms for use with sheep. That's was a truly great day.

Half Portuguese Half Peruvian, born in Wollongong Australia. I guess I do celebrate my heritage (not overly like some people with foreign backgrounds here do), but also celebrate Australian heritage.
 
Basically all Polish, born and raised there until the age three.

And a hint of German because my old old old old grandparents married German d00d's and d00dette's.
 
English for as far back as I know - no idea once I get past great-grandarents though.

My surname is French. It arrived over here when William the Conqueror invaded in 1066.
 
Can I just say Eastern European? I'm mostly German and Polish, with a little Russian. :D
 
75% Belgian and 25% German.
My grandma comes from germany. My grandparents met each other during the second world war I believe.
 
If I go back a far enough I'm a Viking, earlier than that and my family is probably German but I think most white English people will have had German decendants at some point.

Within the last few generations I've got or had family in Norway, Denmark, Scotland and Ireland. Both my Parents are English, and I'm English born and raised here. My mothers side of the family were Irish, and my dads side of the family come from Denmark and Norway, but then they settled in Scotland, and my dads grand dad was born in Scotland. My dad still has an uncle in Norway that he keeps in contact with, he's in his 70's and still ski's everywhere.
 
My parents and I were born in Pakistan. My grandparents from some village in India - and not the village from which our last name comes (Ghazipura)

Interesting trivia about that place:
Ghazipur is famous for India's only legal opium factory.

I was in PK till I was 3 and then my parents moved to Texas. About 10 or so years of my life there and I've spent the past 8 or so years in Toronto.
 
Scottish, Irish and German. My maternal Grandfather was born in Germany. The remainder of my family came to the US via Canada. Originating in Scotland and Ireland.

There is a really por taste joke that goes with my heritage.

I've traced my heritage back to the late 1400's on my fathers side. My mothers side, I only have my grandfather and he left Germany at a questionable time. Hence no history there.

Apparantly, while Phillips is of Greek origin (Lover of horses) it became popular in Wales due to several Saints being named so.

The thing about Scotland and France is that I like the cars from one country, and the people from t'other :)

Down the line I have Welsh somewhere too.

To be honest, I don't know: I've been told I'm 100% Russian in heritage, but unless we came from a Russian state that allowed Judaism as a religion, or was permitted by the state, my ancestors (possibly going back over 2000 years ago), must have started out in Israel. Considering Judaism has proven to be the least-acceptable religion just about anywhere in the world, my latter theory kind of makes sense.

Like Klos, I just consider myself an American, and I'm done with it. I'm a 5-generation American, as my ancestors left Russia in the 1870s-1880s on both sides of my family.

Every so often my Dutch sife takes me over to Michigan. Lots of Dutch guys there.
 
Pretty much 100% English (or New Zealandish, whatever). Possibly a miniscule amount of Scottish.

No, I have no relation to Hitler before you ask. English comes from my Grandmother on my Dad's side and my Grandad from my Mum's side. Then the 1/4 Scottish is from my Grandad on my Dad's side with the 1/4 Austrian from my Grandmother on my Mum's side.

Quite a mixed bag. :)
 
I'm a Japanese national, background is the same. I'm more of an American though.
 
probably 100% German, did no research though. So maybe there is some blood from Austria, Poland, CZ or whatever in me, but that would be sth from 200+ years ago...
I think this rather difficult from the maths' point of view. I mean go back 500 years and you're probably - roughly estimated - looking at a few thousand people...so you can't really tell anyway...
 
Dude, I'm totally Deustch. Both sides are all German. I think. Maybe some Polish, but heck, that's close enough for me.

But don't assume I like Sauerkraut. Sure, I can spell it, but I won't touch that crap. :yuck:

I assumed it was spelled, "Sourkraut". :guilty: :lol: It caught me off guard the first time, but I don't mind it now.

And I think way back there's some French in there somewhere. But I don't like to talk about it.
 
You know, In America, everyone asks; "whats your heritage?" And you usually expect a response along the lines of, Irish, English, German, etc.... How long does the U.S. have to be around before that answer can be American?
 
Arn't you mean to say "Ay up me duck", not just aye if your from Yorkshire.

Born in Manchester, spent a lot of time growing up in Derbyshire, specifically Mansfield around Bull farm and Woodhouse. Which has left me with a bitch of an accent, most people that don't know me have trouble placing where I'm from.
