I have searched for a similar thread, but nothing came up! :sly:

As we wait in anticipation for the final release day, I am intrigued to discover what career path you plan to take. As you know, there are many different paths and tiers in career mode, so I would be very interested to find out your planned journey!

I am thinking of heading for the Touring/Prototype route.

Have fun discussing! :D

I have a whole plan as to what I will do, in order, for project cars in general:

1. First thing ever will be California Highway at sun set in clear weather in the lotus 98T with NO opponents. Just cruising and pushing the car in intervals to get a general feel (I'll be playing some music via spotify to make it an emotional experience as well).

2. Try the clio sport in any circuit track I deem fit (clear weather).

3. Try a race with the AI in a formula c car with mid to high difficulty. The objective is to get hammered by the AI while just following a few cars, trying to feel the limits, follow their line.

4. Maybe career eventually? :))) Can't wait!

1) Start in karts aiming Formula A (full race length + damage)

2) Start in Clio/Ginetta and work myself up to LMP/Endurance Racing with a overall LM24h win as the ultimate goal (full race length + damage)

3) GT3 (+ invitational events) only (Short races, just for fun)

As we can have multiple career files, I will do them simultaneous.

Staying away from any drift events, and also staying away from any point to point events.

Definitely hitting the MK1 Escort on the ring :)
you're in luck - there are no drift events. and I would imagine the point to point races (of which there are only a handful) will be invitational (therefore optional) stuff as well.

finally i decided:
Start in touring till gt3, endurance, than move down to lmp2 and lmp1. I'll do all the invitationals.

Probably start in karts and see where that takes me. Im guessing when you start in karts you automatically go down the path to only getting formula contracts right? No Gt3, Lmp, etc contracts?

Going to start in karts and then go down an open wheel route, looking forward to starting in Forumla Rookie, and then working my way all the way up to F1.

Will look to avoid any LMP cars as I'm not really a fan of those.

This is pretty much what I'll be doing!
yes, once i'll finish it i will probably start a second career from karts even if i don't really enjoy them.
However my logic is also that in june f1 2015 will be out ( i'm really and f1 fan) so i won't bother about an open wheel career in pcars, i will focus on more traditional cars.

Touring, GT5, GT4, GT3, Endurance, LMP2 (vertical movement in the same tier down if allowed) and finally LMP1.
Objective triple crown trophy: gt3, lmp2, lmp1 champion.
