I'll post mine shortly. Once I find it.

Don't forget your #2 pencil.

I actually have 95% of the stuff I need ready...since I didn't put any of it away from last year.

Let's see...I have 1 Mazda Tech Training mechanical pencil(one of the last working ones we have here), 1 Mazda twist pen, 1 Mazda fine line/highlighter combo, 1 old style Mazda twist pen, 1 Subaru tech training pen, 1 red gel pen, 1 blue gel pen, assorted other pens, 1 TI 30, 1 TI 83, a new binder(within which I will put the Mazda binder thingy in), my Mazda pocket brochure thingy(tells about what Mazda is and stuff. It's something to carry around and show people), my messenger bag(which is in need of repair), some paper, and lots of other assorted stuff.

I have a parking spot up at my school(it's officially announced this wednesday, but the check we wrote for a parking pass went through, so I know I got one), no locker(it's a hassle up there, and I wouldn't use it anyway), my glasses(for driving, and if I want to pay attention in classes), and most importantly, the '88 323 SE Hatch, that I'll drive to school and home, which will be the last good thing before going into school, and the first good thing leaving school.

Some things I wanted to have for this school year, but can't:
A laptop, that I would use to type assignments, do research, and most importantly, get on GTP and also play Racer on. But due to my financial situation(a non-working 16 year old who will soon have to pay for car insurence and gas), it's not going to happen, not this year, unfortunatly.
A '92-97 MX-3 GS, it woulda been really cool to drive up in a car that was all mine, and a lot quicker than the 323, but there's that financial bit again, and none that were missing engines or in need of major repair that were being sold or just abandoned at Fusz came up. But the 323 is great.
A pillow, for sleeping ofcourse. I might still bring a very small one, though it'll probably be taken away.

That's it. School is so fun. I can't wait...for the hours of unnecessary boredom.

My supply list states I need 8 1 1/2" Binders. You guys have experience, do I really need those many binders. Incase, I'm in Grade 8.

Well, i'm also in the 8th grade, but i need one 1 inch binder, two 1 1/2 inch binders, and one 2 inch binder.

What do you need all those pens for?! I bring one pen to school each day, I don't even care what colour, or what kind it is. As long as I can write stuff down.

And you only need one calculator, doofus.

You never ever know when you will have a class 5 mechanical breakdown of a pen. So, like we have cars, I have many pens, just if ever I need to use them. I mainly use my mechanical pencil...I've been using it for nearly a year. Also, there's many people at school that have 1 pen, and then when they lose it or it breaks down, they come crying to others, like me, for a replacement, that they can "barrow". I never barrow anything from anyone. And also, if a friend needs a pen, I'll let em use one(not my Mazda or Subaru pens though), maybe even keep one, since I find a lot of pens on the floor and stuff.

I actually use both calculators. the TI 30 I use for simple stuff, and the TI 83 I use for more complex problems, and I draw stuff on them(like last year, in my free time, I drew the current Mazda emblem(just by looking on my keychain), the Mazda emblem from the '60s, the '90s Mazda emblem(didn't turn out well though), even front and back views of my 323. I've had several teachers say "Ryan, stop playing calculator games!" and I say "I'm not", and then they usually see what the hell I'm doing.

Are you sure?:odd:

I'll probably bring around 200 sheets of paper. And a notebook, or a briefcase, or a backpack, or something. And a pen/pencil, or course. I don't take organization very seriously.

Sorry, off topic: Has my grammar improved?
Yes.
Sorry, on topic: Interestingly enough, it has improved just in time for school. Whatever you did, keep it up. I'm sure your English grade will improve as well.
Anyway, Pens. Does anybody here buy expensive pens for school/work? I've bought hem before, but I always seem to lose them almost immediately.

Yeah, I buy them and lose them too!:p But the next day I see someone else using it.

I bought a pencil for $7.99.:D It lasted 3 years. Really! But It died this year.:(

I only needed to buy folders and notebooks this year since I have most of the stuff I need already. Also, I only have a total of 4 books(unless I get more when school begins).

Well..Grade 8.... Depending on what kind of classes you take.... Since you're in Canada, I'm assuming you have one class of fine arts, and another of applied skills, so.... 5 binders should be enough, because you also have PE.. =P

But yeah, just in case, get a few extra binders. 8 should be enough to last you through the WHOLE year.. and then some.

All I need is my books. A boatload of money would help too... Housing at campus isn't cheap, but it's cheaper (and a heck of a lot easier) than driving two hours everyday.

Everything else from last year can be used over again.

ill just bring my folder pen and some paper

untill i need somethin

my supply list:

laptop
video games/dvds
magazines
paper
pencils
pens
asprin
2 tons of books that cost me 600 freaking dollars for 4 stinking classes
chips
soda
money

thats it.

I got seven 1" binders, a load of mechanical-but-ordinary pencils, 300,000 sheets of paper, some Casio calculator with 20,000,000 functions I'll never use, my Palm m130, and a friend with a 1999 Monte Carlo. I love not taking the bus.

All I require is a few cheap pens, some pencils, and a few small binders/folders.

I hated taking the bus. Especially in 100 degree weather with no AC... I was so glad I had friends in high school who would give me rides untill I got my own car.

My supply list:

  • pens
    pencils
    2" binder x8
    loads of textbooks
cellphone [never know when this will be handy!]
    paper x10 packages
    calculator
car posters for my locker, don't ask. :p
