This is definitely a tough call - I'll edit in as the memories appear :-)

In no particular order :
  • Meeting the Skaarj for the first time in the original Unreal... That was freaky scary !...
  • Playing Terminator 2029 with a friend. You really needed to be two to work all the controls - "THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!!!!!!"
  • Discovering GT3 after finally buying a PS2.. Bliss...
  • Firing up my importered GT4 after waiting two decades for it...
  • Finally beating Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders after spending each evening in 3 weeks solving puzzles... Who doesn't remember The Two Headed squirrel of Mount Rainier.. And SCUMM.... (Same with Maniac Mansion, but Zak beats it hands down..)
  • Full Week spend with 3 friends playing StarCraft exclusively and drinking beer... "GOLIATH - ONLINE"
  • Quake 2 Online... .'Nuff said !....
  • Finding the Chainsaw in Doom... Weeeeeee :-) "Now how bout that Buzzcut"....
  • Bullettime in Max Payne... WHOOAAAHH... I rock at this !....
  • Tekken Tag Tournament "tournament" that ended in laughter/hysteria because I just kept switching character so no figthing ever happened... You needed to be there to get it !... But it was extremely funny and only a little weird..

I really can't rank them, but I'll try to pick my favorites.

Finally killing Hitler in the old Wolfenstein 3d, that was awesome. I must have been about 8 at the time.

Playing the demo for the original Tony Hawk's pro skater, it completely blew me away. That game was so far ahead of its time, and despite them running the series into the ground with 8 sequels, it's still the best extreme sports game ever. (I remember I got the demo disc along with a pizza from Pizza Hut)

Beating the original Metal Gear Solid for the first time.

Playing all the way through Final Fantasy 8 only to realize that I entered the last dungeon without a spell that I really needed to beat the boss...I stopped playing then and still have yet to beat it.

Playing Coolboarders 2 to death in multiplayer years ago, it was an intense 2 player game.

Playing Grand Theft Auto 3 for the first time, I stayed up all night playing it after renting it.

Finishing Final Fantasy 7 for the first of many times.

Beating Metal Gear Solid 3.

Spending many nights with my friends playing Halo 2 online over the past few years.

1. Finishing Final Fantasy 7 (and 8 for that matter) you feel so accomplished lol.
2. Finishing MGS. It was great, I have that game memorized now I've beat it so many times.
3. Playing my first Halo match with a system link.
4. Playing Guitar hero for the first time.
5. Playing Duke Nukem 3d. I love it still.
6. Locking the Butler in the freezer on Tomb Raider 2. Sooo freakin fun.
7. Planting C4 on guards backs in MGS.
8. First Huge combo in Tony Hawk
9. Playing Call Of Duty... Bad ass.
10. Playing wolfenstein 3d.. My very first game.

1. Getting to my favorite mission in Battlezone (and playing it too!)
2. Racing in a yellow Porsche 911 Turbo on Expert, Desert Heat, 4 laps, NFS Hot Pursuit 2. The adrenaline rush when you dodge traffic and there's a spike strip right there! You swerve, barely miss it, and the helicopter starts dropping bombs on you! Good times, good times.
3. Playing GT4 for the first time.

I don't have a definite favorite moment. I remember them all the same and all were very entertaining. This is mostly in time-order:

1. Playing the game Pharaoh on PC for months on end. I would get a kick out of trying to make my city as best as it could be. I even eventually started making Pyramids, but I never got to finish a very large one. It takes WAY too long, even for the hours per day I was playing!

2. Diablo 2 must be one of my most played games of all time. I loved just leveling up my character and killing monsters, collecting the best items possible and so forth. I, sadly, never managed to complete the game, as it started to get pretty hard. I would play it now, but I don't have the urge to anymore due to how dated it looks... :(

3. I've had some heated battles against the AI in StartCraft. I remember playing hours alone just Skirmishing. I never played the campaign - too hard!

4. In more recent years, I bought my PS2, and GT3. This is when my racing and overall car passion started. If that guy in the game store never recommended GT3, I may not be here right now. I was a pretty poor player at first, but quickly gained in ability and had many, many long hours on that game. I think I got to 80%+, but never finished it.

5. I used to play Unreal Tournament 2003/4 quite a bit. I finished the championship several times, but never got bored of it. About 2 years ago, I started playing online. Everyone was too good for me... it was unbelievable. I would be playing right this moment, but this darn PC and its overheating and reliability issues is a point of its own.

6. Final Fantasy games, in particular 8 and 9, I had some great times with. In FF8, I perfected - all characters were level 100, and the end boss was beaten easily. The only boss I think I never beat was Omega Weapon, but that was so bloody hard and relied on luck that I gave up pretty quickly. In 9, however, I beat the hardest boss in the game (it looked like a multi-coloured bouncy ball. I cannot remember the name). That required some luck too, but after 10 hours straight I beat it. At one stage, when I thought I was doing well in one of my attempts, my brother's friend walked by and tripped over my controller's wire, un-pugging it! I was very annoyed!

7.Next is Final Fantasy 10. Leveling up to get all the equipment, and to defeat all the Dark Aeons was very time consuming, but I loved it. There must be 200+ hours on my save game alone, but I still didn't get even half way to where I wanted to go. I take my hat off to people who have the dedication to go all the way...

8. Most recently Gears of War has taken me over. This is the first game that I have properly played online for long periods. You get your frequent spells of idiots, but it's awesome fun when you're on a team with great guys. One in particular was when everyone unfortunately left, so it was me against one other guy, on a difficult map: Canals. It was pretty great - I wish they allow 1 vs 1 as an actual option, because I've never had so much fun since!

9. Most recent, must be the UKGTP Lan meeting. This must be the only experience I've had with gaming outside the household, so it was made even more special. Everyone was competitive and sensible while racing, while being friendly and silly (:p) outside of it. I would most certainly go again if possible!

10. For the future, no doubt Forza 2 will keep me gaming for many hours indeed. I am dedicated right this moment to complete the game and to race you guys online. If only my broken Xbox would arrive sooner...

No particular order:

1) Playing Unreal Tournament99 online for the first time (and I'm still playing it)
2) When I first got my PS1
3) When I first got my PS2
4) Mastering the Sega Rally 1 game in the arcade
5) Being the subject to people's conversation at a holiday camp I went. Was top of the leader board on Point Blanc for the whole week. I had a crowd around me, I completed the game and I slowly typed my name in "J--I--M" and everyone was like "No way...your not Jim!". That was pretty funny.
6) Winning a cup on UT99
7) Completing Super Mario Bros 3, quite a feat as theres no save feature
8) Doing some awesome frags on UT99. Half I've saved for my own enjoyment.
9) Playing GTA3 after months of anticipation
10) Watch my Nissan Pulsar drive around in what was then, beautiful graphics and watching how the suspension moved with the car in GT1.

10Discovering online capabilites for the first time

9Driver 1 & 2 for the ps1..." I can go anywhere?"

8DeeadRising for the 360, just so dang fun.

7Back when my dad used to play videogames with me.

6Playing Rainbow 6 vegas/graw2 in a full room of friends from my town.

5Bf 1942, bfv and bf2 online + friends = amazing times
Gran turismo series.... just being a little kid and playing gt1 for the first time, simply amazing (especially for a car nut)

4MGS3 beating it 4 times and not getting tired of it, and still getting emotional at the end.

3The whole 360 experience inluding; fm2, tdu, graw2, r6v, pdz, daeddrising, and crakdown and the great dashboard/marketplace and friendslist setup.

2GTA series (3,vc,sa) simply the most aweseom games a kid can play and spending hours exploring and doing weird stuff to keep my busy.

1All 4 of the socom series for the ps2 (mostly socom 2 & 3). I played those games to the max online. So much fun and so many funny things i cant even name them all (teamkiil the #2 guy in socom 2 with a sniper from across the map and him screaming like a litttle kid and me and my friend laughing our buuts off).

10. Playing Super Mario 64 for the first time. The castle was sooo huge and wow what a difference 3D makes.

9. Playing Tomb Raider on the playstation 1. (also my first time playing a playstation)

8. Playing my first Final Fantasy series. FFIX on the Playstation. My first taste of great graphical cut-scenes. I just felt so amazed and dumbfounded.

7. When my dad used to play Star Wars games with me on the N64. I was too young to beat the game, and he was like my hero cause he could. He also used to surprise me with games, just out of nowhere. Now, he cant play games cause they make him dizzy.

6. Playing Oblivion for the first time on my PS3. The extreme openness and non linear gameplay just coaxes you to play more.

5. Beating GTA: Vice City. It took away so much time out of my life. To finally beat it felt amazing.

4. Quake 2 LAN party at school in my Computer Engineering Technologies Class. My first FPS online experience. (Two years ago)

3. Staying up all night, playing Silent Hill 2 and 3 in the dark with my friend. I read the walkthrough and my friend did the playing. I was fine not playing, it was like watching a really scary movie. Easily one of my best memories as a kid.

2. Playing Gran Turismo 4. The vast amount of cars, and all the different tracks, and realistic racing. I felt overwhelmed the first time I saw the menu in game. There were sooo many icons, and so many cars that I could buy. Just an amazing game.

1. Playing Diablo II Online. This is my number one gaming experience because I spent so much time playing this game. Almost every game that I play now, at some point, I just get tired of it. Diablo II was the only game that I never got tired of, no matter how much I played it. I love RPG's, and this game is the one that really got me into it. Its somewhat linear, but still open gameplay just sucked me in. Not to mention the vast amount of weapons and armor. The different characters could be sculpted to do so many different things. And nothing tops the way that I felt when I found that special rune, or that unique visage. And playing with friends, all through the night, leveling up our characters. It was just a fun experience.

wow this thread is dying.

anyway, i can't remember any trully special moments but the one that comes to mind first is back in about 1997 or 98. i was around 5 years old and i got donkey kong country 3 for the snes. i really wasn't that good at the game but i remember getting to belcha (the first boss) and tried so many times to beat him but couldn't. then i won.

One of the best gaming moments was when I first got GTA San Andreas, along with my first Blue Screen Of Death :(

This isn't really a top ten but a list of gaming moments i can remember.

1. Playing Unreal 1.
2. Fighting the final boss on Serious Sam:TFE.

Oh the bouncy ball song in Ghostbusters C64.

Press spacebar at the right time to hear someone with a mouthful of rice crispy's say "ghostbusters".

Ok I'll shut up now.

2) Basically, all of Final Fantasy IX. That was my first Final Fantasy and I loved just about everything about, from the characters, the settings, the story, just - everything. And to this day, I'm hoping that SquarEnix will once again produce an oldschool Final Fantasy instead of such rubbish like Final Fantasy XIII
1) Playing World of Warcraft for the first few weeks. The whole MMO experience was new to me. Exploring a world that vast, which I didn't know much about at that point, was spectacular to me. Sharing all of that with some really great people which I got to know there and still keep in touch with some six years later, that's what mate this my greatest gaming experience of all time 👍

Only Got one

1: Beating the False King in demons Souls for the first time.... nothing else comes close and is easily forgettable.

Man this is tough so many good ones it's hard to choose a top ten.Instead of hurting my brain trying to think about all the games i've played i'll just list the ones that pop in my head.

No particular order.

1.Rampage - Atari 2600. It was great fun crushing buildings and eating people for health

2.Galaga - Atari 2600.I used to love playing this game.Especially when you were able to get 2 spaceships together, then it was on.

3.Castlevania - NES.One of my all time favorites.Loved the creepy music and being able to beef your whip up.

4.Contra - NES.Me and my Cousin played this game religiously in 2 player mode.We would beat the game then play it all over again for hours.

5.Super Mario Bros. 3 - NES.For me this was the best installment of the Super Mario Bros games.I played this all the time.Dad would always say get in the bed and turn that 🤬 Mario Bros. off.

6.Punch-Out - NES.What's there to say?Best boxing game and it can make you mad and happy with the snap of a finger.

7.Mario Kart - SNES.Big fan of this game.Could have hours of fun with friends and there were times i was trailing and had a turtle shell and right before the finish i would hit my friend with it and win the race.Good Times.

8.Resident Evil - Playstation.
Great game for that year.It was pretty scary and intense at times. The one thing that will stick with me forever is when your walking down a hallway and there is a window to your left and then Bam! a Zombie Dog bursts thru it.I nearly crapped my pants.

9.Final Fantasy VII. - PlaystationI was pretty big on RPG's when i was younger and FFVII takes the cake.Best Storyline,Best Gameplay and it nearly made me cry when Tifa was killed by Sephiroth. After that happened,I never wanted to kick someone's butt in game so badly in my life.I played though it 5 times.

10.Gran Turismo - Playstation. When i was growing up i played racing games, but i wasn't one of those who lived and breathed racing.Gran Turismo changed that.I found myself drooling over the cars and how much different the feel of the cars were compared to other racing titles.Very groundbreaking title for me.

Summary - Sure i could have included newer games, but the older games are the ones that really stick with you as it can bring back some great memories.:)

Gaming moments? erm... i'm not sure, lets see... In no real order.

WoW : Defeating Vashj for the first time, and completing my Shadowmourne Axe.

Diablo 2 : Finding the Immortal King's chest armor to complete the set.

Sega Rally : Beating the record time to unlock the Lancia Stratos.

Gran Turismo 5 : Getting gold in the Vettel Challenges. And getting to drive the Mclaren F1 road car around Le Mans.

iRacing : My first win in the Mx-5's

Medal of Honor Allied Assault : Omaha beach mission was amazing, Saving Private Ryan was my favourite movie, so seeing that in the game was the best thing in the world for me.

Pokemon Stadium : Finally beating the last super Mewtwo event, that game was damn tough to complete.

Final Fantasy 9 : Actually completing a Final Fantasy game was a first for me, as much as I loved them I had never beaten the last boss in any until this game, this was also my favourite in the series.

Thats all I can think of for now.

1. Playing the entire Halo 3 campaign in on night with my friend.
2. Playing the GT2 Arcade mode on Tahiti with an R34, great fun.
3. Beating NFSMW, such a great last car chase.
4. Playing GT5's Nurburgring in an R34 at night while listening to Deadmau5's Strobe, fit in the entire race and had me think about my favorite girl. (24 HR Layout)
5. Halo 3 One Flag on Last Resort. The entire enemy team had to go against our convoy, our flag carrier was ran over, so I took the flag home. Mssg. for replay. Really fun game.
6. Forza 3 winning my first Enduro. Did it with a Camaro, a car I hate, but now love, just before an 18 hr. car ride.
7. GT5 online race, F430 Scuderia vs. 458. Everyone played clean.
8. NFSU, found the power of the R34. Has been my favorite car ever since.
9. CoD4's FFA round, I dominated.
10. Buying my "Ring Runner" R34, stock Bay Side Blue Skyline. Such a fun car.

As you can see, most of my gaming moments involve Skylines, but hey fun car right?
