The idea of this thread is to draw up a list, long or short, of cars you want to own. State whether the list is completely realistic (So family cars, estates and co.), semi realistic (So no supercars or hypercars, stuff like the Evo or M3) or unrealistic. (Ferrari, Bugatti... Whatever, go nuts!) Other than that it's a free for all.

Realistic:
Citroen DS3
Mini (Old one, like the one Hammond had in the Top Gear India Special pre-Mods.)
Renault Twingo 133
Toyota GT-86 (Idea from AudiMan2011 )
Fiat 500 Abarth
BMW 320i (E46)
Toyota iQ
Honda Civic Type-R '03
My grandmas Skoda Fabia from 2001 (It's taken me to Brands Hatch a lot)
Minibus

Semi-Realistic:

BMW M3 (E46)
Mitsubishi Evo VI
VW Golf GTI MKII

Shelby Mustang GT500
Aston Martin DB7 Vantage or GT
TVR Cerebra
BMW M5 (E39)
Ford Escort RS Cosworth
Porsche Boxster '13

Unrealistic and in some cases ridiculous:
Ferrari F40

All I can think of...

For the realistic list, I plan on owning at least two or three of the cars from this list within the next 5 to 10 years (mainly the CTS-V in 10 years). In the semi-realistic category, these are cars I could possibly see myself owning but will most likely not pursue owning them. Lastly, the unrealistic is self-explanatory. Even if I were extremely wealthy, I couldn't see myself owning any of these cars because of the expensive upkeep and the fact that it would kill me to own a garage queen.

Realistic

  • '07 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR
  • '08 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X MR
  • '08 Subaru WRX STi Wagon
  • '10 Mazda Mazdaspeed 3
  • '02 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

  • '10 Cadillac CTS-V Wagon

Semi-realistic

Unrealistic

  • '66 Shelby Cobra 427 'Super Snake'
  • '65 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe

Kawasaki Z1000

Semi-Realistic (after those five years, assuming things go according to plan):
Kawasaki Z1000
Datsun 240Z
BMW 5-Series Touring, maybe a 520D or whatever.

Somewhat unrealistic:
BMW S1000RR
Triumph Scrambler
Chevy Corvette C7

2002 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R Vspec II (if they ever become legal in the US)

Michael Schumacher's 2004 F1 car :sly:

Semi-realistic

Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ (Would prefer the Scion in orange)
Ford Focus ST
Ford Fiesta ST
VW GTI
Ford P71 Police Interceptor
Cadillac CTS-V
Ford F150 Lightning/Raptor
C6 or later Corvette
Tesla Model S

I"ll add more later but that's all I can think of for semi-realistic cars that I could conceivably own at some point.

I based the "realism" of my list on the projected age/rarity of the car when I could expect to have enough income to afford one.

Realistic
  • Another BMW E30 like my first car
  • Subaru Legacy GT
  • Subaru Impreza (any except the GH/GV/GE/GR)
Semi-Realistic, Eventually, Maybe
  • Subaru BRZ
  • BMW E46
  • Locost 7 with a BMW or Subaru 6-cylinder
Completely Unrealistic
  • BMW E30 M3
  • Subaru 22B
  • BMW M1
  • Porsche (blank)

Realistic:
Nissan 300ZX (Z31)
Mazda Miata (NA)
Mazda RX-7 (FC, FB)
Dodge Steath (Mitsubishi 3000GT, would do a conversion if it was a Stealth)
Toyota Corolla (GT-S or SE5)
Toyota MR2 (AW11)

Semi-realistic:
Mazda Eunos Cosmo (20B, 4th-gen)
Datsun 240Z
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32)
Ford Mustang ('60's model, preferably with the 289 small-block.)
Daihatsu Sirion/Storia (4WD model)

I've got nothing else; I'd want too much for the unrealistic part.

Guys... Did a road-going Metro 6R4 exist at any point?

EDIT: There was! Adding it to my Unrealistic list immediately!
