September has rolled around to welcome the release of Update 22 for all Forza Motorsport players on consoles and PC.
This update comes during a time of great uncertainty for Turn 10. Having been hit with substantial job cuts back in July, concern was high about the future of the studio and Forza Motorsport and continues to remain at the forefront of the minds of the community.
Turn 10 has also confirmed this is a server-side update and no download will be required, reflecting the worrying fact that there’s no new car or track content.

Forza Motorsport Update 22: Returning Tours

T10 has brought back some more previous tours for players who missed out from their first appearance. Test your limits in the Endurance Tour with some of the greatest prototypes and GTs through the ages, show the power of Bavaria with the BMW Tour, and celebrate the modern age with the Contemporary Tour to round off 2025.
These three tours will unlock every month over the next three months, with the Endurance Tour kicking off on October 1. Each tour release date is listed below along with their respective prize cars;
- Endurance Tour – October 1 – Nissan R88C #24 Nissan Motorsports International ’88
- BMW Tour – November 5 – BMW M4 GT3 #96 Turner Motorsports ’23
- Contemporary Tour – December 5 – Pagani Huayra R ’22
Just like the previous returning tours, these will be available permanently so there is no need to obey a schedule for completing the latest races.

Forza Motorsport Update 22: Rivals

The only new Rivals events on offer over the next few months are the qualifying rounds for the latest edition of the Logitech McLaren G Challenge. Three qualifiers will put you behind the wheel of the 1,000hp hybrid McLaren P1 GTR on Grand Oak Raceway, Sunset Peninsula and Maple Valley, while the Bonus Stage will see you wrestling the 1976 McLaren M23 on the fearsome Fujimi Kaido.

What’s Next for Forza Motorsport?
Although T10 has said it intends to “continue support” for Forza Motorsport for the time being, the future of the game heading into 2026 remains unknown. The lack of new content in the update is, while expected, glaringly obvious and adds to player concerns for the game itself and the series as a whole.
There are, of course, still Tours to come back — T10 didn’t reveal any information about Update 23 just yet — and if the monthly approach continues then we should see more next year. We’ll bring you the details when, and if, they drop.
