Who Is Next Level Racing?
If you’ve ever looked at hard-mounting a wheel instead of clamping it to a desk, you’ve probably run into Next Level Racing. The company is based on Australia’s Gold Coast and has been building cockpits and wheel stands for well over a decade. We first reviewed their original Wheel Stand back in 2014, and later put the F1GT cockpit through its paces in 2017.
The company has come a long way since then and now produces a wide range of products, from a $179 folding wheel stand to $2,999 motion platforms, with FIA-licensed rigs, a PlayStation-licensed cockpit, ventilated and haptic seats, and a full line of flight sim hardware in between.
For Gran Turismo fans, Hyundai’s new N Racing Simulator is built on the company’s GTElite Lite cockpit with a Logitech RS50 wheel, and Hyundai says it has been selected as the official rig for the Gran Turismo 7 event at the 2026 Asian Games. Next Level Racing also supplied the GTElite cockpits for the Hyundai N-Virtual Cup final last year.

Which Cockpit to Actually Buy
If you’re a Gran Turismo 7 player with a Logitech, Thrustmaster, or Fanatec GT DD Pro on a desk and you just want it to stop moving under braking, the GTLite at $189.05 with the code is the sensible starting point.
It folds up with the wheel and pedals still attached, which matters if the rig lives in a living room rather than a dedicated sim room. The F-GT Lite does the same trick for $95 more and adds a proper Formula seating position, which is a nice bonus if you spend time in the Super Formula or F1-style cars.
If you’ve already moved up to a higher-torque direct drive base (anything in the 15 Nm to 18 Nm bracket, like the ClubSport DD+ or GT DD Extreme), the folding cockpits are no longer the right tool for the job.
The GTElite at $664.05 (after using our code) is an aluminum-profile rig with folded steel plates, and it can be upgraded later with a formula kit or motion hardware. If you want the Formula position built in from day one, the F-GT Pro is the step up, and it carries the biggest saving on this list.
Of course, plenty of people don’t want a cockpit at all. The Wheel Stand Lite 2.0 gives you a rigid, pre-drilled mount for wheel, pedals, and shifter while you keep using whatever chair you already own, and at $170.05 it’s a big step up from a desk clamp for not much money.
Flight Sim Gear, Too
Next Level Racing also builds one of the more complete flight sim hardware ranges, especially for a company that started in racing.
The Flight Seat Pro has a center-mounted HOTAS pole with height and angle adjustment, pre-drilled side mounts for yokes and throttles from Thrustmaster, Logitech, Honeycomb, VIRPIL, and WINWING, and a cut-out in the seat for a military-style center stick. Pair it with the Flight Stand Pro and you get the Flight Simulator Pro, a full cockpit that works for airliners, general aviation, helicopters, combat jets, and space sims.
