Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: House Special

Depending on your time zone, the Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are now available to players, with a new quintet of challenges arriving when your console’s clock hits midnight.

The Weekly Challenges were added in the recent Spec II update as a playlist of sorts, consisting of five events drawn both from those already available in the World Circuits menus and as new, one-off races created just for the week.

You’ll need to complete the challenges anew, whether or not you’ve already ticked them off your Event Completion list, by finishing third or better in each event while they appear in the Weekly Challenge section.

Along with earning the standard prize money for the races themselves, there’s bonus rewards that you’ll receive as ticket Gifts — although several players are reporting issues with them appearing — for completing one, three, and all five events during the Challenge period.

As usual, these events cover the range of length, speed, and rewards available in the single-player game, starting off this week with a two-lap Sunday Cup race at Autodrome Lago Maggiore Center. There’s a 380PP recommendation (though not a hard cap) and you’ll need a road car for this race, worth 5,000cr for victory.

You’ll move across the continent to Dragon Trail Gardens next for a race in the European FR Challenge 550. It’s a short, three-lap race, requiring front-engined, rear-wheel drive cars from Europe under a 550PP limit — with 25,000cr available for taking the win.

The remaining three races all require cars of up to 700PP, though there’s a bit of a spread of vehicle types. It kicks off with turbocharged cars, in the “Race of Turbo Sportscars” at Interlagos. Anything with a snail attached will qualify for the five-lap race, with a victory worth 63,000cr.

World Touring Car 700 is next, and while the header image (and AI field) shows race cars you only need meet the PP limit for this ten-lap affair. It’s the most valuable event this week too, at 110,000cr for victory.

The final event is a Special Event, generated just for the Weekly Challenges. Just like the very first set this features the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS added in update 1.40, this week racing for five laps around the Monza circuit. There’s 81,000cr up for grabs if you take the win — and don’t forget to map the DRS feature to a button on your controller.

As with last week’s set (still available if it’s not midnight yet in your region), the bonus prizes are all credit tickets. There’s a 100,000cr ticket for completing one event, a 150,000cr ticket for completing three, and a 500,000cr ticket for clearing all five.

The Weekly Challenges update at midnight local time on Wednesday evenings/Thursday mornings, with the next set due at that time on November 29/30. You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access.
