A new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges will be winging their way to consoles over the next few hours, with the five-race bonus mode updating as your local clock hits midnight on Friday morning.
Available to players who’ve completed the GT Cafe career, Weekly Challenges is a set of races selected from World Circuits that you get seven days to complete for additional rewards. You’ll find them in a special green box within that menu (also indicated on the World Map), with four races drawn from the existing events and a fifth “Special Event” created just for the week.
Coming right after a game update, you would expect the new Weekly Challenges to include some of the latest content and you’d be quite right. In fact, one of the brand new races starts us off, with the latest European Sunday Cup 400 race at Circuit de Sainte-Croix B Reverse. It’s a two-lapper for European road cars, with 48,000cr on the table for taking the win.
Oddly, that means that the same car is on two thumbnails this week as the Renault Avantime is also starring in a Special Event. That’s a one-make race for the French classification-defying one-box, of course, and you can use the car in any state of tune for the three-lapper at Alsace Village. About half the AI (the ones with the racing body tweaks) is running a mild tune, which you’re going to need to take into account; 430PP or so should do it if you want the 80,000cr winner’s prize.

You’ll also pick up 80,000cr for winning the next race, a round of the Vision Gran Turismo Trophy at Grand Valley Highway-1. As you’d expect here, you’ll need a VGT for this five-lap race, and there’s an 850PP cap — so getting the new 1000PP Corvette under the limit will be pretty tricky.
Next up is the Monza round of the Ferrari Circuit Challenge. You won’t win any prizes for guessing that you need a Ferrari here, and any will do — road or race — for this five-lap sprint. There is a 700PP cap though, so you’ll need to balance out downforce and power (it’s Monza, after all) with 90,000cr on the line.
As we regularly see in Weekly Challenges, it all wraps up with a World Touring Car event. This time round it’s the WTC800 at Circuit de Sainte-Croix A; yes, that’s two races at Sainte-Croix in one week. The race runs over eight laps of the rather lengthy circuit, and requires a car on Racing tires below the 800PP cap. This is a relatively easy win, for 200,000cr, if you no-stop it, so keep an eye on your fuel consumption.
It’s a second successive week of credit ticket bonuses, each of which you’ll need to redeem from your garage’s “gifts” section to claim the money. Getting any one race checked off is worth a 100,000cr ticket, clearing out any three gives you the 200,000cr ticket, and finishing the full set rewards you the usual high-value 500,000cr ticket.
You’ll need to have completed GT Cafe Menu Book 39 and watched the ending movie in order to have access to the Weekly Challenges. The events update at midnight local time on Friday mornings, so we’d expect the next set on the morning of Friday September 5.
