RaceRoom Racing Experience Goes “Deutsche” With DTM 2002 and 2025 Car Packs, Now Available

The first week of December has proven to be jam-packed with new racing game content, and adding onto the festivities will be RaceRoom Racing Experience.

Now available for the PC racer is not one, but two new pieces of content in the form of the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM) 2002 and 2025 car packs and weighs in at 5.8GB.

Up first is the DTM 2002 pack which brings three new racing machines to the title: the AMG-Mercedes CLK DTM, Abt-Audi TT-R, and Opel Astra V8 Coupe. The latter two of the pack will undoubtedly be familiar to those here at GTPlanet, having featured together in Gran Turismo 4.

DTM’s 2002 season was a fierce one and ultimately dominated by a battle between French driver Laurent Aiello and German driver Bernd Schneider. Aiello, driving for Abt Sportline and behind the wheel of the TT-R, would walk away with the championship, leading over Schneider driving for HWA Team’s CLK DTM by a mere 6 points: 70 points versus 64, respectively.

If reliving the 2002 season isn’t enough for DTM fans, there’s also the option of something more modern in the form of the 2025 season car pack. The fifth season of DTM run under Group GT3 regulations, it’s something of a far cry from the DTM of old, however, the intensity and hair-raising moments remain.

While largely a series of updated liveries for the now-completed season, the pack will formally introduce the BMW M4 GT3 EVO to the PC racing sim. Powered by BMW’s own twin-turbocharged P58 Inline 6 engine, the M4 GT3 EVO makes up to 590hp, all in a package that weighs up to 1,300kg (2,866lb).

Helmed by Marco Wittmann and Rene Rast under the Schubert Motorsport banner, the GT3 EVO finished fifth and sixth in the Drivers’ Championship and second in the Teams’ Championship. As such, the M4 is no slouch when it comes to performance and should be plenty of fun to thrash around any of the game’s available racing venues.

Unfortunately, neither Ford nor Aston Martin are included in the release due to KW Studios being unable to secure licensing agreements in time for today’s release. The team states that it will continue to work on the issue, hoping to find a solution in the future.

Both packs are now available to purchase via the in-game store, with the 2002 car pack coming in at $12.79 or 1,099 Virtual Race Points (VRP) and includes the three new racing machines with a total of 25 liveries between them.

The 2025 pack will set players back almost double that, coming in at $23.27 or 1,999 VRP, and will have the seven cars with 21 liveries between them. For those looking to save a few bucks, the M4 GT3 EVO is available separately for $8.14 or 699 VRP.
