High-End Fanatec Multiplatform Build

This is the best of Fanatec for drivers who want to play on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. The Gran Turismo DD Extreme (18 Nm) wheel bundle brings as much punch as Fanatec can offer, and it's paired with the ClubSport Pedals V3 Inverted.

The "inverted" part matters. Most sim racing pedals are hinged at the bottom, which is mostly fine. On these, the brake and clutch pedals hinge from the top, like the pedals in a real car. It takes the pedals to the next level in realism, especially if you drive GT or road cars.

The Xbox support comes from the Fanatec CSL Elite Steering Wheel WRC. Fanatec wheel bases bring PlayStation compatibility, while Fanatec steering wheels (or "rims") bring Xbox compatibility. Used together, the same core hardware works with both consoles, and it works on PC too.

What really sets this rig apart is the cockpit. The Fanatec ClubSport GT Cockpit is solid and impressive-looking, and it can handle just about anything you can throw at it. The GT Cockpit Seat goes with it, so you're set up for long sessions. That's a big step up from the CSL Cockpit in our other rigs, which starts to reach its limits with a wheel base this powerful.

To be clear, there are nicer Fanatec wheels that can bring you Xbox compatibility, so this may not be the "ultimate" multiplatform build. It's pretty darn close, though, and for just over $3,000 you get a high-end rig that works with anything.
