We’ve already posted our retrospective review of Project CARS, and the five things we’re most looking forward to in its sequel. Below, you’ll find a smattering of quotes from the team, remembering the stand-out moments Slightly Mad’s 2015 title provided.

Brendan, on his love for American content (and jokes):

“Taking on the US Highway track for the first time was breathtaking. The lighting was perfect and driving one of the old US stock cars gave me serious Daytona USA vibes when I reached the bridge. Also, the under-appreciated jokes included in the original liveries some racecars had.”

Cliff, on the unique experiences racing with friends can provide:

“The first night I raced with my buddies in our current league form we had a hilariously large crash in GT4s at Hockenheim classic. Further on down the road I was in a sort of reunion race with some really fast GTPES guys that I won by running my pace (which was a good bit slower) and being incredibly consistent.”

Gideon keeps it short and sweet:

“Running a Formula Rookie around Oulton Park, could do it endlessly.”

And lastly, yours truly:

“For me, I think it all clicked on my first endurance race. I had done enough laps with the TS040 in optimal conditions to get used to it, but the ever-changing conditions really brought out all the different aspects of the car. Running down the Mulsanne, water pelting the windshield, lightning cracking off in the distance, chasing down the tail lights of slower cars — it was one of the most exciting few hours of gaming I’ve had in a long time.”
