I am online hosting a room, but decide it's time to go to sleep.
So I say goodnight and quit.
This is when the game freezes. Nothing happens anymore.
Sometimes after 5 min. it's back okay and I am in the lobby.
Sometimes more than 2 hours.
I cas see by the PS3-button and "players met" that people come and go (some are also stuck i think) in the lobby.
What do I do?

1. Quit game ASAP. So others can use lobby???

or

2. Stay as long as I need. I deserved my cred/exp???

PLEASE HELP

You should look at your Internet connection as I don't think it's very good if it keeps freezing.
You should always quit if it's causing problems because if you're the host then everyone else would be affected too I would think.
About the credits and experience, I don't think it's worth it unless it's a very long enduring race in which you would of earned lots of XP and Cr.
If you're worried about people taking over your lobby afterwards, just set "Fixed room ownership" in the options when making the room, that way when you leave so does everyone else, if you did not already know this.
Hope I helped.

This topic gets a new thread each and every day.

Once again, here we go.

1. Disable custom music soundtracks.
2. Clear your system cache.
3. Reset your internet connection before turning on your playstation.
4. Pray to deity of choice.
5. Contact Sony customer service.

To find out exactly how to do the above, use the search tool for the site. Again, this topic gets a new thread daily, so the info on how to do this is out there.

...and I know for a fact there are tons more. All the threads found above were found w/o using the search feature. Please don't think my frustration is "being on a high horse", but rather frustration at another useless thread that could've been avoided with less that 2 minutes of reading.

Thanks for the answers.

I know there is a ton of info out there, wich most i read and have used.
I don't use music, PS3 is in DMZ and I allways clear cache before and after game. I know what I can do to get a better connection and I also know that it started with update 1.10.

I asked your advice for when I do hang, as a host.

I want to know what would you do if you are a host and the room hangs. Quit or stay??

For now, I will stay in 5 minutes and then I quit.

Sometimes I've been online for +4h, so I do lose a decent amount off exp/cred.

Thanks.

Yes you will lose you xp & credits due to the data doesn't save whilst your in the lobby , it only saves once you return the the open lobby page , and if you you can't do that due to hanging and have to quit ... Kiss it goodbye , personally I don't rely on credits and xp from a online lobby , I always save my data before entering purely for this reason , goodluck ;)
