Love the Benz. How much camber did you put on that poor thing, though?

Cars were meant to be driven, not be displayed like trophies.
confused by this in your sig, you're in a photomode thread where cars are not being driven but displayed like trophies, :ouch: unless you're getting at people who buy fast cars but don't actually drive them the way they were built to be. In that case i agree. :)

You got the right train of thought there! I hate seeing cars on display, or people who are afraid to drive them for fear or accidents.

Bumpage, don't let it die, i need more pics. While i'm here, some pics people post look alot better and worse then other pictures, how would i make them look better? Would a 512mb pen drive pic look better than a 256mb pen drive pic just cause it has more space? :ouch:

not to mention fast fast FAST! ZOOM ZOOM ZOO...*shrug*

what can you expect from an engine that has...
1.5 litre/91 cubic inches
108 horsepower @ 6000 RPM
105 ft-lb of torque @ 4200 RPM

and the xB (oops...bB z 1.5) with its wonderful 0-60mph in 9.8 seconds :)

well? how do these cars handle/drive/feel/sound in the game?

9.8? Try somewhere around the 12s.

And i'll throw the DB9 into a race a little later and snap some shots of it overtaking Le Mans race cars =)

I'm still confused as to why the people at PD thought having wheels available in +1, +2, +3 sizes was a waste of time.. Almost every person in the world that modifies their car, goes to a larger wheel/tire package. Hopefully MK or someone with similar skills, will make another program that allows you to put larger wheels on your vehicles.

I know I'm going slightly off-topic here, but I think that's a good question to answer. The reason PD didn't include larger wheel sizes is because larger wheel sizes actually decrease performance on a lot of cars.

For example, I'm on the Formula SAE racing team at U-M (no, I'm not the driver, but I am on the team ;) ) At last year's competition, many of the cars were running 13" wheels and tires, but we were running 10" tires. Several of the judges at the race also noted that for these cars, 10" actually make better sense than 13" ones. There are several reasons for this.

The main reason is that a larger tire has more rotational mass than a small one. As a result, braking suffers, acceleration suffers, and handling suffers. While it's true that some cars (i.e. Indy cars and drag racers) have very large wheels, the other side of the story is that they provide insane amounts of power to those wheels, so the effect isn't as noticeable. They have larger wheels so that they can reach higher top speeds. However, if you stick Indy-car wheels on a bone stock Civic, I guarantee that the Civic's speed, handling, and braking will suffer. Why? It's not as light as the Indy car to start with (so the braking, acceleration, and handling problems become much more magnified), and it's also not nearly as powerful (even when fully tuned, I doubt that a Civic will crank out more than 400hp in GT4), so it's harder for the engine to turn those gigantic tires - resulting in even worse acceleration. And because the engine probably doesn't have the power to push the car to the same speed an Indy car can reach, the bigger tire probably doesn't gain anything in the top-speed arena either.

Unfortunately, you all know that if GT4 includes 24" tires (and yes, that's what a lot of Indy cars use IIRC), lots of people are going to want to stick them on their un-tuned cars and make pimpmobiles. Then they'll be pissed when their cars handle like crap and can barely move, and will say the game is unrealistic and it sucks.

Hope that made sense. ;)
