RESULTS

week20by.png

Congratulation to the podium winners ... nice to see the cluster of C3's being shoved a little further back, although the fight amongst them is always interesting to watch. Looks like Jump_Ace narrowly pushed out kennythebomb for the final podium position.

Nice little bt of jostling around the 1'45.xxx mark, also, with the Z28 just nuzzling ahead by a bumper's width.

With the new 'bottom third' rule, the following drivers may change their parts if they wish:
darkwind
teledriel
bigrew
frogger1971
bbinnel440

Please review Post #1 of the main thread to ensure that you comply with the correct allocation of upgrade credits. YOU MAY NOT EXCEED THESE FIGURES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

**NOTE** that some upgrades cannot be rolled back, so if your current ride has these installed and you want to change parts, you will either have to run with these non-removalable upgrades (and pay for them), or buy/win a whole new car and start again.

Good morning and welcome to the second race in the American Muscle Championship. This time we hit the undulating streets of Seattle, with it's hairy 'San Francisco-esque' section and two loooooong straights. Will you be able to carry the speed through those corners and avoid flying off a ramp into a wall?

Track :
Seattle (REVERSE) Hotlap

Rules:
Use the car and setup you have opted for, following the rules outlined in the AMC Thread.

Discuss only T-times.
Clean OLR Standards:
No wall touching.
The enitire course is considered part of the track; sidewalks, rumble strips and all (just stay off the walls).
No hybrids
No Cheating of any kind

Time Submission:
Send your time via PM to me, including splits and final run.

Submit the time listed in replay file name by 11:59 AM (PST) September Sunday 25th. You may run as often or as little as you like; you've got the full week to perfect your setup and gain the fastest single lap that you can.

Although I'd prefer it if drivers didn't re-send multiple times (it may cause a mix up with what is considered your final and fastest run), this is only a loose rule ... you can submit more than once before the deadline, just try not to bury me :p

Luxy has kindly allowed us a little webspace for tracking splits (as per the Luxy Leaderboard used in the WRS):

So I was racing my motorbike (R1) this weekend, and am involved in a start line crash, 3 guys went down in front of me and I hit one of the bikes...

I end up with a sprained ankle and thumb... I was incredibly lucky, but a sprained thumb!! Could there be worse injury for GT4... :dunce:

I will have a go, can't be any worse than the first week, I have done pretty much the same times as darkwind but so painful :(

Need another .2 or so in t1, and my goal for t2 is 1:06.5xx. We'll see....

Well, my DFP appears to be playing up ... the brake pedal is staying ON most of the time and it's killling my 'speed'. I need to take the base unit apart and see what's going on in there before I can drive effectively again.

I did take a few laps with the DS2, but it takes quite a bit of getting used to :(

OT: I don't know how you do it rew ... I have a deep admiration for the sportbikes.

hey thx bud, I am now trying to get 1:06 flat splits, I FINALLY figured out a good way to go over those tracks so we'll see.

This week will be close, I can sense it..... :D

:nervous: :nervous:

lol. Well thats right where I want to be Jetboys

Well I ALMOST have ya and I can see EXACTLY what I need to do to improve. Although knowing is ONLY half the battle here...lol.

Yellow '69 (C3) Vette at Seattle Reverse:

T1 - :20.374 (need :20.1 - seen it many times)
T2 - 1:06.199 (1:05.7xx will be great!)

... Now, I should just let you catch up, only to set a new time...haha.

Oooo, a week I hopefully will be somewhat competitive, unlike the last.

Ran about 10 laps and got T1 of 20.8 and T2s of 1'08s. But still lots of time to be made, and I don't top out anywhere! yay!

This is such a damn fun track to throw the Z28 around ... I'm not sure if I should be drifting as much as I am, or getting as much air on those jumps ... but DAMN it's a riot.

Yellow '69 (C3) Vette at Seattle Reverse:

T1 - :20.309 (still need 20.1 and have seen a few 20.0xx's, but I really hit the tracks right this time)
T2 - 1:05.837

Another .3 and I'll be happy.

My gosh man!

My car is not gonna go much faster than what I posted... I'm really starting to doubt my strategy here as I know we are on the same level driving wise...

slow down man, at least give me a chance to get back in my ride! j/k :D

Just got a

T1: 20.250
T2: 1'05.189

That's it for this week; anything else and the car wouldn't have sides.

Man I need to get myself in gear and get some wheel time in Seattle before I get too totally toasted. I did my testing at NY so I don't expect to be as close (close being relative here, 1s+ really isn't close :dunce: ) to the podium. I have no idea where brake points are, etc. I've gotta lotta work to do to be competitive this week...but the car's good...so I'm optimistic.

Dang nab it Jetboys!!! Totally Rockin splits man!, Ill be chasing that ALL WEEK now that my BC is will be over Tuesday. So Kenny, what updgrades did u purchase? If u need any pointers just ask, or if anyone does :) . See ya all in my next post!

My car feels great around this track, seems like there is a lot more potential left in it. Much easier to drive then New York was, I hate that track anyways.
