[empty space]: I was operating within a budget and the X1300 was the only option other than a shared memory nVidia card and a $300 nVidia card. I'm sure I'll be happy with the performance as my current computer has a 64mb GeForce. If not I'll upgrade:)

I could have gotten a smaller monitor and got a better video card, but I also wanted a decent monitor so I could hook my PS2 up to it. The 2407FPW seems to be an ok choice.
 
When I looked at the threads current title "Cod-Fathers Gallery/ Audi R8@ Nurburgring" I thought immediatley of the Le man cars. I completely forget about the Leman Concept on GT4 is the new R8 Road Car. I was incredibly shocked to see the picture as it was..........amazing I cannot improve on that description as the colour is perfect so is the blur. It all is good.
If you have time please swing by my gallery I would be happy if you could comment on them.

yes, but, it wont run r6:vegas and its specs are what games are getting to be. itll probably run everything else out there though. purhapes you should have gone with a 20 inch monitor and put more money into the video instead?
 
I don't play games on my computer, so running the latest games isn't of importance to me. The newest computer game I have is Combat Flight Simulator 3:) I picked the 24" monitor because it was the only one Dell had that has multiple inputs (DVI, VGA, Component, Composite and S-Video) so I could also use it to play my PS2... outside the new 27" monitor they have, but I don't want to spend $1500 on that. I also wanted a bigger screen for photo editing and the 24" seems like a good size:)

Anywho, here are some MR2 shots I did a number of months ago but never put in the gallery (that I can remember anyway;)). They aren't the greatest quality but I like them.

This was one of my first attempts at cleaning a badly textured image. Again, I don't believe I've put this in the gallery. I've included the before and after. This was from a couple months back so it may not be up to par with my current shots.

Edit: I noticed that my gallery is almost at 1000 posts. Whomever makes the 1000th post can request any car they want (providing I have it of course) at whatever track they want:)
 
interesting ... do you use programs like 3dmax and etc? because i dont see photo shop needing 2gbs of ram :P
 
The ram was a "free" upgrade offer:) I tried 3Dmax, but quite a few years ago (still have an old copy around somwhere). I dabble with an old copy of Bryce 4 that I have occasionally though.

Honestly the computer is pretty much overkill for what I do use it for but my current one is showing it's age and struggles with CS2 at times... especially if I have something like Firefox open with it. We're also leasing it which makes it a tax write-off for my wife so the costs are easy to swallow.

I just checked the local weather after my own weather station stopped recording the temperature: It's -36 celsius her in my town with the windchill bringing it down even further to -48! My weather station stopped at -29.9:( I hope my car starts this morning.
 
damn! that's cold. atleast here in vancouver it's not that cold. I love that audi shot. The blur, the contrast and stuff is great. looks like something you'd find on an art mag. the 350 Z makes a huge difference too.

ps: just realized i made the 1000th post :D

Another C_F masterpiece, how do you get that great style? I really have to get CS2, seems like you guys can do a lot more with it.

The MR2 shots look suberb C_F, I love drifting that car. Whoa, Bodyroll! :D

The new computer you are getting sounds sweet, wish I could get a new pc. My one is getting very slow. :ouch:

I am confused however. The 1000th post goes to jgda9rs (as it says his post is #1000), but from the main page it shows his was #999. Weird...
 
Whoa, did you count all your posts. :D

I saw that too, it said I was the 1000th post in the main page, but in your gallery in said my post is 1001. :dunce:
 
Thanks Ultra. That Nissan was from September and I worked for about an hour on it:)

Didn't count them all drift. If you click on the replies number for each thread it will show you the number of posts made by each member.

I didn't comment on the 350Z did I, it looks great. You did a really good job with the clean up on that car. Made it look 100 times better. 👍
 
I'm really afraid. With that rocket 24" and that surface Z training... the future stuff could be brutal (Even more? :odd:).

Wow, every update of yours I love C_F.
This update is suberb, I love all the shots, makes me wnat to take some photos of that beast.
The second one is my fav, the contrast of the car with the reflections, white stripes and rims looks sweet.
Fantastic update, more of your work that will be saved to my drive. :D
 
That's different I think. Did you try some "soft focus"? Also seems like you were added a subtle monochrome noise. I love the second shot, because how complex are all reflections. The lighting is great as always, but I personally preffer you High Definition stuff rather this little diffussed one :D

the second pic is very nice, the last one is good too. but, it seems as if some of the pre-speed blur "noise" effected the car too.
 
Thats the best Ford GT photos that I ever seen!!!! WOW...the blur is freakin incredible...U are a master of blur!!! The reflections on the 1st one are so good, looks very real C_F.
Another 5 stars update, just continue to amaze us:)
 
Wow these shots are really good I espcially like the 1st shot it looks almost real. I also like the third shot as that looks realistic as well. Not to keen on the 2nd but thats my opinion. good work keep it up:)
