RKM Motorsport - Tuned Tuners - May '13

Hey rj will you be buying the dlc racing pack?
I believe he is.
Hey RKM! Can't wait to annoy everyone with that Prius touring car online when it comes out! I heard you were going to make a tune for it. Lol - Ultimate troll machine. The Americans hate hybrids.

You heard right. :D

I haven't seen him after I delivered the fully tuned S-Tune to him. Either he's addicted and can't stop driving it, or then we have to start making a ½-sized carbonfiber coffin..

Neither. I'm completely stuck in a very extreme form of "writer's block", where instead of my ability to write being blocked, everything I have to do, I either do it as a puddle of crap or just lose the will to do it before even halfway…

VTiRoj
You heard right. :D

Thanks for the quick reply.
Can't wait!
The car has acclaimed, as I'm sure you all know, vast amount of hate through a mass of users among our GTP community. It will be fun when we finally get to drive the machine. I'm sure with VTiRoj's or Rotory Junkie's tune the Prius Touring Car will be an icon of terror among our enemies.

So your wife was looking at CUVs again... She thought she needed something big to be intimidating on the road and for practicality.

This proves her wrong. That uncorked boxer smoothie under the hood means everyone will run in the other direction when she's coming through and there's enough room in the back for half of Ikea. Sorry, can't fit the entire store, that's the Ikeamobile's job.

Should also mention you can take it racing when you pry the keys out of her hands too.

Well here it is, the third incarnation of my Fiat 500RS - the Spec II edition - as my first tune of Spec II and my first tune with RKM as well. With an insane 276bhp from it's peaky little 1.2 litre engine, the RS is back and tweaked even more into a scary 500pp rocket that'll hit 150mph with ease.

The BMW 1-Series isn’t the best looking car in the BMW range, but it’s hard to fault its chassis. This Cup Of tii combines the feel of the old ///M cars with the performance of the new ones.

Time for something sporty and fun. This here is the RenaultSport Megane, a 200bhp French coupe that actually goes round corners! Whilst it's nothing too spectacular, it's fast acceleration and rumbly exhaust will keep you satisfied while you show all the other French cars how to do corners.

The Lexus IS F is a fast sedan. It’s up there with the M5, C63 AMG and Audi RS4, no doubt. The thing is, the IS F doesn’t get as much attention because it’s a Lexus. Just an up market Toyota. A Lexus. Which is weird because the IS F is pretty much the best of the bunch. Naturally, we need to change this.

So we made this. The Dominator. 601bhp, 1185kg, 8 gears and a lot of downforce. The result? A car that lives up to its new name. This IS F will slay supercars, smack GT-R’s upside the head and give race cars a run for their money. Complete and utter domination, in a car that your wife can’t complain about.

Guess who’s back with a complete makeover for GT5? Oh yes. It’s the RVV NSX-R Evo.II all rebuilt for this generation. The main difference you’ll notice is the new aero, new wheels and the titanium pipes out back. Under the bonnet, you’ll notice a fresh new C32B engine with a reliable 393bhp. Weight has been reduced to 1051kg, making this old favourite even faster than before. Oh yeah, it’s still just as agile, if not more so.

This 3rd Anniversary model marks the 3rd year of this NSX’s life.

12th Jan 2011 - Revised settings.
29th Jan 2011 - Revised settings II.
19th Feb 2011 - Transmission & ballast/power settings.
16th Aug 2011 - Revised settings III.
23rd Aug 2011 - Damper & LSD & brake balance settings.
11th Oct 2011 - Spec II adjustments.
15th Nov 2012 - Rear damper compression changed for 2.08.

1. Why's Dragonthing posting setups in here?
2. What's the NSX-R doing nearly 400 pages away from its original place?

Someone shed some light on this…??

Edit: Ah, fack. Need to reread OP again…this is so confusing though…so, Dragonthing is now part of RKM, eh? Time for a name change?

RKM Motorsport Spec II Update Notice

A new update to RKM Motorsport has been released. The main contents of the update are as follows:

- New Tuner "Dragonthing" Added
Tuner "Dragonthing" is now available from the tuner selection page.

- 9 New Spec 2-compatible Cars
9 new Spec 2-compatible cars have been added to the first post. The new cars are the following:

No name change. We did that too many times already in GT4. It's great for confusion but not great for a consistent brand name.

1. Not sure.
2. It's a revision tune for Spec II.

It's not so much that we Americans hate hybrids as it is the fact that for the majority of us they are heavily overpriced and highly impractical forms of transportation much like kei cars.

The idea of highly fuel efficient vehicles is great, but until they can manufacture and sell them for under $20,000, keep the cost of maintenance in line with what we pay currently, and give them enough performance to enter our highway systems and deal with the terrain, the market will be limited.

Having been stuck driving econo boxes in the past that had trouble getting up to speed on highways and couldn't maintain speed on hills and mountains I for one have no desire to subject myself to such again.

They would be more attractive for me as a secondary vehicle if I lived and worked within the confines of a major city. That said if I lived there I would be using public transportation and my bicycle, which is an even cheaper and more environmentaly friendly solution.👍👍

Sorry about the rant, its just that I still have nightmares about driving a 4door Geo Metro on the German Autobahn.:scared:

We did say surprises were coming. :D

I was not expecting nothing until the 18th!
By the way thanks guys for taking notice on the IS-F. It deserves as much attention as it can get. Great car.

Big thanks for the mobile links as i do most of my browsing on a phone.
I use alot of your tunes as they generally dont need very much tweaking from me to suit my style. Love the lightly tuned.430 scud, just enough slip to make it a very predictable loose car.!

So again. Thanks for the mobile links, makes my ( and many many others im sure) life easier.

This surprise in particular was planned for right about now before Spec II had a release date.

Just a quick note on the text links, they'll only be for the tunes we bring into the main page after checkout passes. Anything in the archive will stay as-is, it's a bit much work considering the cars are, in a few cases, obsoleted by Spec II.

Edit: @Onboy: It was RRV, then RCV, then RVV. ;)

Ah well, who cares about the order  And I'll be sure to try the new stuff, and if I see that Megane, I'm so gonna give it a thrash. If only to see if it does sound as good as Dragonthing claims it to be.

I agree with you completely. I could not drive on a motorway in a car that struggles to get up to speed. :yuck: In a city they're fine for me as I hate public transport.

Hybrids here are only a bit cheaper than regular petrol or diesel cars here, although in the long run they're cheaper. The Honda Insight and CR-Z aren't as slow as a Prius so it's not so bad for them. :D

Because of the DLC? Nah we'll probably spend a few days with that before posting tunes, so we updated before then. :D:tup:

Also we've had an IS F for ages, it's just about time we did the RM too. :D
