Lewis has being having press conference lessons from Kimi.
 
Well that's a start... Has taken too long to realise though. He is quick enough that if he goes through with this change to his aggression then he will be back in the points very soon. Don't see it happening though, and the impression has been created.

For someone who has made it to the pinnacle of motorsport, he has a very poor record in lower formulae.

They printed his history in Autosport today and, apart from winning the Belgian Formula Renault (1.6 litre) championship and the International Formula Master series*, he hasn't done much. He's only won one GP2 race in 49 attempts.

Lotus Renault must see something in him, they wont be giving him a chance otherwise...
 
D'ambrosio already drove Formula 1 cars and drove on Fiorano this year with the Lotus, might explain why they picked him over an unexperienced driver (with that car).

His nickname is Custard and he didn't do too badly against Glock I guess. Thats enough for me :D.

It would be nice to see D'ambrosio do well but I somehow doubt he will... If he drives and qualifies well then he could be for a podium....

He hasn't had much experience pushing such a strong car, in 11/19 races last year Glock had a better result than him and he never used KERS at Virgin so he'll have to get used to that. If he gets on the podium then Kimi isn't as good as he used to be.
 
Is there any way to follow Monza practice in the UK without having Sky Sports?
 
Thanks. I was trying to find the BBC coverage on the 5 live websites but I didn't it was actually on the BBC website itself. Audio commentary here if anyone else is wondering.

From what I actually could understood in the Drivers Press Conference he was driving the Lotus at Mugello, so he has had a bit of time in the car at least. Add the Practice 1, 2 & 3 providing nothing goes wrong with the car and he'll have a good few hours behind the car. I'm not expecting anything spectacular from him but a points finish should be on the cards.

When you get two people from a different country speaking a broken version of another language you get a lot of "Excuse me" and "can you repeat the question" and I found out with Jerome yesterday. :lol:

👍 He brings plenty of Genii funding with him. It's amazing how far you can get with a modest track record but excessively deep pockets.

Live streams of F1, outside of the official ones, are illegal as they breach the FIA's copyright. Such streams cannot be posted here

As i suspected, Mercedes very strong in one lap at Monza.

Free Practice doesnt really mean anything, Mclaren were not on top in spa, yet Button got P1 in quali. Also mercedes need to prove to the big boss that they are still in the game, so they could easely go with a bit less fuel to put better lap time and looks better.

I'll wait until qualification to see who's in or not.

That is still no reason to think he doesn't have what it takes to perform in F1.

He's currently over a second off Kimi's lap in the practice session, but what can you possibly expect from a driver who has hardly had time any F1 car this year? If he scores a point this weekend I will be very happy for him.
 
Alonso on top! Good to see Massa doing well also, P3 in FP2, still plenty of time to go though.
 
I wonder if we will see all 22 cars take the miss on the chicane on Sunday :lol:.

Or he might be so far ahead by the time the lights go out that he doesn't hit anyone into turn 1. He was interviewed on SkySportsF1 this week and he said he will try to stay out of incidents in the future, I hope so because I don't think he'll be leaving the sport anytime soon.
 
I wasn't sure who to pick for the win at Monza.

At first I thought, 'maybe Jenson can go two for two, the McLaren is pretty quick.'

Then I thought, 'Alonso could be helped along by the Tifosi to pick up another win.'

And then I thought 'A Lotus win might be on the cards, which would most likely be Raikkonen.'

Then I realised how stupid I'd been. Facebook sent me an advert and it was clear there was only one man destined to take the victory in Italia.

Liuzzi started last at Monza last year and still managed to take out Rosberg and Petrov, if there's anyone who can accomplish something similar to this, it's Pastor.
 
That message is going to people that don't know anything about F1, if you see a weird last name that is related to a sport you don't know nothing about, you will think that he is actually good.
