OK, weighting in for the last time on the Mercedes SL rear light debate. And I think, this time, I have hard evidence of something.
As correctly pointed by RACECAR, the standard Murc SL carried a bug from Gran Turismo 4:
the foglight on the right rear tail light is always on. Yes,
it is definitely a foglight and a bug on the standard car that took too long to get corrected.
But then, watching the video from RACECAR, something hit me: Gran Turismo 5 has foglights that work correctly on premium models. And RACECAR confirms that patch 2.06 corrected the foglights on the Mercedes. That's great, I say. So I get the premium SL, run it on SSR4 and, voilá, there's no foglight on the tail light.
But I'm still not convinced. And remember that, when running some premium cars on dark and/or wet conditions, extra lights are turned on (notable examples: Lancer Evo X, Audi RS6 wagon). This condition presents itself on any track with day-to-night cycle and wet condition option. So, there I go to Eiger Nordwand, set the weather to 100% rain, track 100% wet and start my run on the Premium Murc.
The results are very impressive. YES, it is a freakin foglight. YES, it WORKS. And YES, I GOT PROOF!
First, a couple of images right at the beggining of the replay.
But then, 2 seconds after the replay begins, THESE COME ON!!!
And keep in mind: yes, my game is patched and, on update 2.0, the instruments of the SL were corrected. So I didn't expect another patch on the same car.
And now, to conclude, the "pièce de résistance": video proof! Just watch...
So can we now end this discussion like... FOREVER?
