Hi GTP :3

I got a question and it's regarding the 24 hour races, and all the other ones in general. So I've been pretty much stalling the endurance side of GT5 cause to be honest I don't have much time for them. And although I don't wanna do them I am interested the prizes and experience points that they give. Now can you give me any tips when I go around to attempt these tedious races?

Also will I lose my 200% bonus? And what should I look out for if I do attempt these races?
Any other stuff I should know about?

Well thankfully you can save now mid race!
For me I made a second account on my PS3 so I could at least play a little GT doing something different after getting burned out doing hours of one track.
Doesn't really help with that race specifically but it does help with keeping your sanity.
Other than that turn on some good music and zone out.

Ah.. Is there still any chance for me to keep my bonus? I really want to have 200% when I finish it.

If you do not complete the race the day you started it, your bonus will start to decline, yes. Try not to go in underpowered, an Audi R10 just won't cut it if you don't want to be scared into thinking you'll lose. The only reason you would do the Nurb 24 is the money, the prize or the trophy. By that time you won't need the exp.

Don't use the X1. Use something that will give you competition to keep yourself interested in the race. Overpowering everyone and hot-lapping will make you bored of the race very fast.

I agree. Indy 500 in an X2011 was torture.

But I'm looking to win... What car should I use of not a r10? I got the ps version and the normal one. I also got both pescarolos and the gt-one... I got various choices basically.

I used a 787b for the Le mans and a 905 for the ring. They were very nice cars. Fun to drive. Fast enough to not worry about losing, but not too fast to make the race boring 👍 goodluck

R8 '01 is another good car for the 24h races. I used that for the Tsukuba 9h, and I hear that it works nice for the 24h

I am currently using the x2011 for during a 24 hour race. I had a 54 minute lap when I had a nap, and was still in first place... I get a cup of coffee, I just set the emergence brake and leave the game running. Using the x2011 gives you time to play as you play. Hit cones, hit movable barriers, drive backwards... no pressure to be 'good' Just be ok, and the car itself does the win. 17 hours in and still relaxed. Been playing for a week now (few minutes here and hour there...) My first multiple day race. IF there is any lose in % bonus, it won't deter me from the other long races...

if you take more than a day to do the race, you will lose your % bonus. :grumpy:

Spend a day before you start doing practice. In a race that long, a couple hours getting ready won't hurt and the things you'll learn will only help you have more fun. You can also help eliminate a few stupid mistakes in the first part of the race and maybe find a couple things you can improve in your car through setup.

If it all possible, it is very useful to learn how long your tires will last versus the competition, as well as what lap times you will run when only carrying enough fuel to last as long as your tires do.

You want to be enough faster than them to make up for a few mistakes now and then(only you know your own driving of course) but if you are too much faster you'll lose the fun of having competition. For the longest races you'll probably want to be able to gain a second or so per lap more than the other races so you don't have to repeat them.

With a little care, the endurance races can be the best that Offline GT-Life racing has to offer.

Will do, now all I gotta do I buy a 787 8D

You could also do the Peugeot 908, if you leave it stock and get a setup on it is pretty even.

The 787B is a joy to drive as long as you have good throttle control. I would recommend waiting and getting both of them. I went ahead and grinded my way up to 10,000,000cr. then I bought the 787B. With the 787B I grinded back up to around 8,500,000cr. and got the 908. I prefer the 787B, but everyone is a little different about the two.

Depending on what the specs of the cars are I will make my choice.

787 is better than the 908. The 908 doesn't handle as well (too much understeer) and just doesn't have the amazing engine sound of a 787 when it's motoring down the mulsanne.

Oh. Then I will end up with the more expensive 787. I got a question though, between the two 908, the only difference between them is purely cosmetic?

Yes, both 908s are identical, besides paint
