Now can you give me any tips when I go around to attempt these tedious races?
No, not really anything.
Just try not to go off the track, but you would pay attention to that when you're normally racing, right? ;)
Also will I lose my 200% bonus? And what should I look out for if I do attempt these races?
If you still play GT5 every day during those 24H races, no, you won't lose your 200% bonus. After finishing the race and quitting the screen, you'll get your usual 200% bonus and other things you normally get when logging in.

Always pay special attention to your fuel tank and tyres' grip, and also the gap between your car and the opponent in front of/behind you 👍
Any other stuff I should know about?
Never drive a Formula GT in the 24-hour races :p

I heard about someone doing these races with an fgt. I couldn't even imagine the green hell at night with no lights :nervous:

I can only think of two ways to win, either you follow the car in front of you, but that'd make braking really hard, or you drive at a very fast pace that the 2nd-placed car can't even catch up with you during the night when you're stopping at the side of the track, but that'd be near impossible, too.

So it's actually very hard to win in a 24H race in a car without headlights
And I still can't figure out how can the AI drive the Toyota 7 at Nurburgring at night without mistakes :p

Or you turn on the driving line and follow it...

I used the Jag, so pretty! In cockpit for added realism - it keeps you awake during the night. If you tune it to understeer it helps with tyre wear massively as you won't destroy your rear tyres as fast!

you can use the x2010! (le mans) and if you cut the most corners you dont have to drive 24 hours. 19 hours was enough by me!
I would rather race 24 hours with a 787B at Le Mans (like i've done 3 times),
then using the X1 for more then 1 lap. :yuck:

Depending on what the specs of the cars are I will make my choice.

The 908 has a massive amount of torque, which means that it rips through tires much faster than the 787. The Mazda is definitely the better choice.

If you do not complete the race the day you started it, your bonus will start to decline, yes. Try not to go in underpowered, an Audi R10 just won't cut it if you don't want to be scared into thinking you'll lose. The only reason you would do the Nurb 24 is the money, the prize or the trophy. By that time you won't need the exp.

My 5th Leman 24 hour race was done strait thru in realtime in a R10 stealth with only an oil change and suspension tune, No power tuning at all. Was an extremely close race due to fatigue on my part. Every time I needed a coffee or something to eat I had to park at side of track, 1 cup of coffee would put me a lap down. I did win in the end and really enjoyed it but didnt think I was going to at 03:00 in the morning 7 laps down, Crikey did me eyes sting.

This, ^^ now that tyre wear is different to when i did my last race I wouoldnt attempt to enter in the 908 it will rip tyres to pieces, so will most of the Group C cars.

OP If you have either of the following LMP's peugeot 905,Bentley speed 8, or Audi R8 '01 race car these are better on tyre wear and the first 2 are very good handling. I would suggest any 1 of them. If you dont have them, I can set them to online so you can borrow one for the race.

As for your bonus @200% if you start the race on full bonus you will be awarded all prizes and XP with it applied. and you wil get just over 13 million XP but once you come out of the race at the end and log into GT Life thats when you lose it so dont worry. You only lose it because if you do ingame racesave when you reload to carry on you never get to GT Life to log in thats all, nd you will biuld it back in a few days.

PM me if you want to borrrow a car. All the best and certainly go and do the 24hr Nurburgring as well thats the creme of the game.

Sry guys, i don't want to start a new thread about the same topic, so is it possible to win the 24h race of Nürburgring with the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 RM?
Because it's my favourite car and it sounds now pretty awesome.

Anythings possible...
TBH, It would be hard. The ZR1RM isn't nearly as good as such cars as the 787B, so I wouldn't try it.

With the right field, it is possible, but you would have to do a very clean race, and only race a couple hours at a time to retain some mental ability and some sanity

Go do some practice laps with your car, you need to be under 8 mins in the dry in daytime and under 8:10 in the dry in the dark. If it rains for long periods you willl win easily, Also check your tyre wear Ideally if you can get 3 laps that would be good.

Good point about the rain. If it rains enough, you will have no issue winning. During a whole race at nurb, if it rains the whole time the AI will run 10 less laps than if the race was dry the whole way

Then I will keep in mind to not turn off the PS3 rather just leave it on. If anything I can just wait for 5 days before I attempt the other races. Not only to get my 200% bonus but to keep my sanity too.

Anyways thanks to everyone for the tips... I will go get now the 787 since it seems to be the safest car to go into that race with. I also have the premium Jag, the BMW V12. Now I'm gonna go grind the A-spec seasonal where they give 500,000cr to get 1,000,000 per race and buy the 787.

If you leave your PS3 on you will still lose your bonus when you eventually go back into GT Life, To keep your bonus you have to login everyday and this you cannot do if you use either ingame save or just leave machine on. The only way to keep your bonus is start on day 1 IRL and you must finnish before day 2 IRL ends so you can log on. Unfortunate I know.

That won't happen, I know. But don't confuse me! Even if I leave my PS3 on for 5 days, as long as I entered the race with 200%, when I finish it I'll still receive that bonus right? Even if when I go back to GT life I don't have it?

You will get your 200% bonus for that race, but when you return to GT life, you will not have that bonus

I'm waiting till i buy a steering wheel to do this. i feel like i could definitely drive the endurance races if i had a wheel. if i do more then 30-40 laps on the controller my hand starts to cramp.I don't have the wheel yet tho so I'm not gonna be touching them.

Your hands can cramp with a wheel too. :)

So can your forearms. And your shoulders. And your back. And your legs. And your ankles(can ankles actually cramp? well, they can hurt).

But it does generally take longer, and a wheel adds enough fun to make it worth getting anyway. Though there is usually a learning curve of a week to a month or even more to get used to it.

Taking breaks is always advised, though nobody wants to take enough of them of course.

Yes you will receive your prize money and XP at the same level as the day you started irrespective of how long you take, Basicaly you load game got to GT Life collect daily bonus then enter race, Now your machine logs the race day start and keeps that as one day till you finnish your race even if you take 10 days for example It then pays you out at the bonus level you started the event with. Its only after this that your machine logs you into the servers that you will drop in bonus, Buts that shouldnt be a problem as you just need to login again every day to get it back.

Exactly, then I won't have anything to worry about. :3

Also will I lose my 200% bonus?

Salut! Umm, the 200% bonus, you won't necessarily lose it, if you go from noon 'til noon. Therefore, get your login bonus at noon, run the race, and hopefully it'll be done by the 36 hour window you have. Or, you could do it as the real racing drivers do (start early in the morning) and do stints of four hours, and take two hour breaks. But, you have, at most, 47 hours and a few minutes to run it.

47 hours for me to keep my Bonus? Well It's really tempting but the thing is I know I should rest after a race that long, if I do it under 47 then yeah I may keep the 200% but since I've never attempted a race this long before I'm not sure if it's healthy or if I would want to do the nurb one after this. Gotta remember that it's still a 24hr race...
