47 hours for me to keep my Bonus? Well It's really tempting but the thing is I know I should rest after a race that long, if I do it under 47 then yeah I may keep the 200% but since I've never attempted a race this long before I'm not sure if it's healthy or if I would want to do the nurb one after this. Gotta remember that it's still a 24hr race...

Well, pause the PS3 OR go into the pits and hit "suspend" and you can sleep. :) You should still have the 47 hours too.

It's tempting... Maybe do 12 hours. Sleep for like 6-8 and then do 12 more hours?

12 hour stints is a lot if its your first attempt at a 24h race. I usually do three 8 hour stints (unless ive been drinking too much, then who knows how long i drive for)

I think I may end up turning on my xbox too and getting into a party chat so I don't get too bored.

Hi GTP :3

I got a question and it's regarding the 24 hour races, and all the other ones in general. So I've been pretty much stalling the endurance side of GT5 cause to be honest I don't have much time for them. And although I don't wanna do them I am interested the prizes and experience points that they give. Now can you give me any tips when I go around to attempt these tedious races?

Also will I lose my 200% bonus? And what should I look out for if I do attempt these races?
Any other stuff I should know about?

Are you going do A-Spec 24 hours first or B-Sepc 24 hours

I really miss GT4 edurence races cause at doing the pit at GT4 they let me to switch A-Spec to B-Spec

p.s. what games you have for xbox 360 I am looking to team up at Left 4 dead 2 and battlefield 1943 at xbox

None of those. And for B-Spec I can just give my Bob my Red Bull lol...

I think Gran Turismo formula for B-spec will do fine Red Bull works too... but the most annoying glitch is the Super soft sports tires for B sepc (Well if they do that Red Bull or GT formula will kill then anyways...)

For A Sepc Between 787B Race car '91 and 908 HDi FAP I say 787B is better the 908 Hdi a little however I like 908 HDi more cause the car is a little bit new and all it matters is how you tuned your car

going to try 908 HDI for Le Mans 24 hour A-spec today and I get you a feedback in next day

No no... I'm gonna start tomorrow. I've been going for the trophy were you end up with 0cr. Almost there. Tomorrow morning I will start Sarthe. :)

I guess you going to pick 789B for your 24 hours race at A- Spec tomorrow huh?

well the only thing I don't like was 787B Cockpit view cause it's old that is why I use 908 HDi Fap so if I got bored doing the 24 hours race A-Spec I can switch it into cockpit view when I use 908 HDi Fap

Only issue i have with the 787b is the interior at night. it is toooooooooooo bright. cant see the track.

That is why I use 908 HDi FAP cause the NPC are so weak at Le Mans 24 hours for A-Spec that is
the only thing I might worry about is weather change into rain and day time to night time

It is? D: don't tell me that after I bought it! :indiff:

The 200% bonus is not important... it's having fun... once level 40 is reached, points are meaningless, and cash limit of 20 million is always a pain...

Well I do wanna get to level 40 you know? Snatch me that trophy and the reaming few I have to gold. (Most of the other endurance races. I don't wanna spend so much time on them lol... I finished Indy today and already had finished the finished grand valley. That's all I got.)

Just use the bumper cam during the night. It allows you to see the track much better

I normally use the third person and rarely cockpit. Haven't used bumper cam since GT4. Guess I like to be able to see exactly where I'm going with third. But when I get bored I wanna be able to see the road in the cozyness of the cockpit. :P

You will have plenty of time throughout 24hrs to mess around with views.

make sure you make a right tuned cause once in the race you can't tuned the car anymore for rest of the 24 hours race and take a short break after 4 hours of racing

I was thinking of just upgrading and leaving any tunes stock... Should I tune the 787?

I have a nice tune on my 787b if you would like me to post. I can put it up tomorrow

Whether to change the settings on your car is down to if you are comfortable with it stock or not - as well as how confident you are in your tuning skill. It can easily take a long time to get the car set up to your liking, but of course the easier it is for you to drive the fewer mistakes you'll tend to make(sometimes  ). And there's always the tunes posted online to try out, to save you the time and trouble of coming up with your own.

But one (sort of obvious) thing I haven't seen mentioned is don't forget to buy several different tire grades before the race. That way you can speed yourself up if you're in trouble late, or slow yourself down if you're getting too far ahead too easily. It's a sad feeling when know you're just a little too far back at the end of a long race to catch them, and you pit in only to realize you don't have faster tires to put on so you're stuck.

I usually go with softs or mediums on front (depending on car) and hards on the back

Already bought them all. Thanks for reminding me.

BTW how many litters do you think a this car uses per lap, and does this vary from car to car?

I know that in the dry with racing soft on front and racing hard on rear with STOCK settings, will run easily 5 laps at a 3:18-3:22 pace and use 45liters of fuel

Just figured I'd say something. I've long known to do it but still forget sometimes.

I can't help you with fuel but I'm sure someone has a close estimate, although it will vary some from driver to driver. The car makes a big difference in other enduros, I'd assume it would be the same for the Group Cs / LMPs as well.

Hmm... what about in the ring? I'm guessing just a lap right?

Morgoth, what I mean is that will this 787 run the same distance as any other car. Let's say the 787 runs 50 miles on a full tank (Just an example) will any other car like a skyline also run 50 miles on a full tank? In other words did PD model the fuel system individually for each car?
