^ You missed it, I almost beat Marcus in a 5 lapper at Nurb GP/F. I was right on his tail the whole race, neither of us made any mistakes but I just barely touched the sand going through the Schumacher Esses and that was enough to let him stay ahead of me. I was only .5 seconds behind at the finish. I was proud of myself, Marcus is not an easy man to hang with! :)

Haha true story. You had pace on me in the 1st turn and the Dunlop bend. The car works well with that course; very little understeer.

No worries, I should have clarified. It's easy to fix.

If you were registered for last season you don't need to re-register. 👍
 
Only one person from my friends online right now. Is there an update or something. Always 5 plus on. Never seen only one person. LoL
 
I just signed up for Tuesday and Friday, but am only planning on racing one of those nights. Just seeing what nigh works best for myself and everyone else. 👍
 
I did some spring cleaning on the registration list last night and deleted anybody that didn't actually race with us last season. I think everybody left on the lists are likely to attend at least a couple races, and we're showing 18 registered for Tuesday and 19 for Friday. I don't think we'll have that many try to show up all on one night but that's obviously more than we can fit on the track so I've closed registration. Hopefully we won't have any conflicts with full rooms and people not being able to join (we didn't last season) but I'm prepared to deal with that situation if it arises.

I believe the thread has been updated with all the relevant info for this season, if anything looks askew let me know. So this is now officially the Season 2 thread. The only real thing that has changed is that I've moved the time up on Friday to start qualifying at 9:30pm EDT instead of 10pm. Attendance on Friday's was a little low last season so I'm hoping moving it up a bit earlier will help get some people on the track before they get too sleepy. :sly:

I'd like to hold a preseason race this Friday. There's been some discussion about Nurb 24hr and I would like to race the car around there (just not for points). It will give us a little practice at parts of the GP circuit as well. I'll probably be around this evening to do some practice runs at the Nurb.

The track list shows 5 races, but the points table only shows round 4, and the individual race tables don't have Motegi.

That being said, I will definably be racing this Friday.

I tried to mend that last night but I'm rubbish with spreadsheets and didn't want to break any of the formulae so I'm going to need Mr. RDAardvark's help to add the fifth event. I'm just recycling the spreadsheet we used for last season to make things easier/quicker.
 
Might need to edit the post #6 that says 'friday registration closed'. Also - I'm gonna be Tuesday-only this season. Not sure on the pre-season race, but should be available tonight.

While I quite enjoy the ring; I will likely miss Friday's race this week as I'll be preparing for an event this weekend.

I was thinking about this while on my lunch break......to do proper qualifying at that track would take about a half hour! :scared: How about Autumn Ring instead?
 
We can try it out tonight if anyone is around. For an "official" preseason race I like the procedure to mimic the regular events, but we'd need probably 20 minutes of qualifying just for everyone to get one hot lap at Nurb 24h. :(

I can't make it tonight because of work. I am still interested in the series though. I will try my best to make as much as I can this season.

I switched off the auto update process until the spreadsheet is amended. If all goes to plan I'll get it updated by the morning.

Looks like I won't be able to make it tonight, I just found out that I'm pretty much going to be at work all night. Customer wants 600 36page brochures by first thing in the morning and we didn't receive files/specs until 4pm. Of course the way they want it done means our machine can't do the assembly, we have to do them by hand (just me and the boss). :ouch: Feel free to practice amongst yourselves but I likely won't be around.

SICK!!! I'll be there. Even if you load the back road trail. Errr Nurb.

I truly don't HATE it. But when you do heavy damage race and wreck about 1min into the lap. Uggggh. Endured two of those and vowed to never race there again.


Edit: I'll have to jump out around 9:30. Got another practice session.
 
^ That's the main reason I don't run heavy damage. It would be cool in a really long race with really good drivers but it doesn't fit with what I try to do in our races. Light damage fits perfectly though, a small penalty but doesn't ruin your race.

If we go to NurbNord it won't be with heavy damage, don't worry. In fact, for a fun race I'd probably run with no damage.
