So, it looks like the Silvia Season 2 schedule will be:

Same rules as this season: 10 minute qualifying, no mandatory pitstops.

Those in favor say "Aye"
Those opposed say "Nay"

I didn't hit the rev limiter at Monza or HSR the other day, even in the draft... Don't recall anyone else saying it happened to them either.
 
I don't think we'll be hitting the rev limiter on any of these circuits, we didn't hit it in any of our test races. At Monza we didn't even come very close to hitting it. At HSR we come close but right about the time you'd be hitting it you go into the sweeping, banked left-hander which drops your momentum just enough to keep you off the limiter.

That works a little better probably. I was trying to alternate between GT originals and Real-World circuits but your draft logic is superior to my symbolic logic. 👍
 
Sounds fine to me. I don't usually make many races anyway, but as always I'll try to pop in now and again.

How about a week from tomorrow? I think I have all the info I need in my end, just need to do a couple managerial/technical things behind the scenes. I think I'll just keep using this thread, most of the OP is the same (just change schedule) and all the info in the thread is relevant. That should speed things up a bit on my end. There will be a new link for registration but if you registered for this season you probably won't have to register again.
 
I am going to be in the room for 20-30 minutes and run a few laps. I may be on again later in the evening as well.

No not tomorrow, maybe next week. I don't think we have to rush into this. If it's racing that people want, a preseason event or two can be just the trick. It'll give Brandon some time to sort out the thread and time to recruit some new blood.
 
We can still meet on Tuesdays and Fridays. Practice some on the tracks. ;)

I wasn't really planning on recruiting any new drivers, we had a good crowd for these 4 races and from the feedback I've had I think everyone will be up for another round of Silvia's.

I can open up registration for a week or so to get a couple more helmets on the track. We could start the season officially on Tuesday, Sept. 25 if everyone's ok with waiting that long, have some sort of pre-season event next week on Tuesday and Friday. I really don't want more than 10-11 people on track, when we had 12 this season things got screwy. Tuesday crowds were generally 8-10 but Friday could use one or two more drivers I suppose.

It was really the race with 6 drivers that concerned me. One less driver and it would not have been an official race. If that had happened would the Friday Series have been best 2 out of 3? And a victory in such a small field still gets the same points as an all out war with 12 or 13 closely matched drivers so it kind of skews the results. September 25th is good for me, but I'll go with the flow......

I don't care for that either and that's why I have a rule in place that there must be a minimum number of drivers for it to count as a points race. I noticed several people chimed in saying they wouldn't make the Friday race because they were too tired or it was too late. I would really be in favor of moving Friday events 30 minutes or 60 minutes earlier because it's almost too late for me as well (I get up at 5:30am for work so 10pm is kinda late for me to start racing). This might help to improve Friday attendance.

Anybody opposed to starting Friday qualifying at 9pm ET instead of 10pm?
 
I'm probably gonna be racing on Tuesdays only, so one more spot open for Friday.
I'd do a recount of people who raced in this past season and are interested in S2. Count them and open sign-up for a few empty spots, if there are any.
 
Where should we have our preseason race(s)? NurbNord 24h? Autumn Ring? Kart Space?

Never played it other than in a demo and never with a wheel. Going to download this and see how good it is. :)

I just played it, with a DFGT I felt the FFB was a little lacking and the car was to easy to save, other than that it was good.
