Currently fitting a new display into the wheel, so it'll take a bit until the next ones are up. Silverstone & Valencia are next.

28/12/2012: all done, gotta give it a shot tonight and see if everything's working well. Fingers crossed. :)

Mr S are you using a Thrustmaster 500 with the Ferrari wheel? If so any problems/complaints so far? I am thinking about buying one

Yes I do and nope, it's really great. I can't fault it but the buttons die quickly if you're doing 100% races. Same for the paddle shifter springs - they last around 100.000 clicks. Thrustmaster was always quick to send me new ones, tho. :)

I'm also done modding the wheel and it's not like the stock one anymore - but the stock one is awesome nonetheless. :)

OMG Mr S!

That is one of the sickest mods I have ever seen! Congrats. Did you do the work yourself?

I knew what I wanted (exactly what I got) but I'm terribly clumsy when it comes to soldering. Naturally I didn't want to ruin it, so I asked modmate (Kai Lohmann) if he'd be able to help me out and he modified it for me. Can only recommend his service, it's really custom made, he's a nice and supportive guy and it took less than 2 weeks from the day I shipped it. :)

On setups: Valencia is almost done, it'll probably be ready for release tomorrow night. :)

Alright, so Singapore is the last dry setup - any wishes for the next wet setup? I'd like to post 2 setups at a time, at least.

Hey Mr S, I love your setups and was wondering if you'll be posting setups for f1 2013. If you are, will you also post setups for the classic cars? I can imagine mansell's Williams with your setup would be so much fun to drive.

First I need to complete the F1 2012 ones. I didn't play the game in ages - I also doubt I'll get F1 2013, at least not around release day. It's too expensive for what it's really worth. :)

In case some people are curious: yep, I only made that one to complete the collection - it was more of a "Meh, I'll play this game one last time" thing. Hence the lack of a video and real qualifying time.

Then again, I have to admit that I gave in today and bought F1 2013 - although at 22€, which is a lot less than it would've cost me on Steam. I think I'll start posting new setups soon (but I'm away next week).

Edit: my display currently isn't working properly, so I'll have to wait until I'm getting it back in order to see the revs etc. and start working on setups. I'll make a switch to Lotus this year.

Let me know what you guys think. Obviously with the Lotus you have to drive a bit more defensively. :)

Do you feel a difference in car performance and handling?
I tried the redbull team car and I cannot say I wasn't surprised on how much better it handled compared to force india :S
then I switched to f1 2013, got into lotus and its another feeling with the car. Cant point my fingers on the difference but yeah.. its there, or is it?

I didn't use any car but the Lotus in GP mode and I think the scenario mode is dumbed down quite a bit, so I can't really answer that. :)

I didn't play F1 2014 but I assume the quickest would be the Mercedes, this setup shouldn't work for any F1 2014 car tho, sorry. :)

Thks buddy anyway. Quit F1 game ? 1:33.×× is possible but no tune reference ! Sad, you quit ... :indiff:

Hey there Mr S! Picked up F2011 when it was released but couldn't put down GT and never got around to playing it. Started it up recently and glad to find your tunes; its helped a lot. Game is a blast and I'm loving the tire / fuel strategy involved. Thanks for taking the time to make this thread. Set ups are awesome.

Glad to hear it's still helpful, even after all the years. :)
