Just seen this, very sad indeed, despite all the weirdness he was still one of the greatest entertainers of our time.

That's certainly one way to get out of going to the O².

I'm ashamed to say I laughed at the above post.

RIP Michael.

I just heard this also :(

I was a massive fan of his music and ignored the dark side allegations of his life

R.I.P Michael sadly missed :( Never forgotten!

Huh, big news never the less. Seems pretty young but he did a lot and brought some great music to everyone.

I predicted this the day the tickets went on sale. They must have known something was wrong with him...

I've never been a fan, he scared the hell out of me and didn't like any of his songs. It's sad that he's died, as it is when anyone passes away, but it's not as sad as the sight of the fans going OTT at the news.

Elaborate thriller remake coming?

R.I.P to a legend.

Just got a text about an hour ago saying this:

MJ is dead heart attack

Yes that is word for word. I was wondering, who the hell is MJ? So I left it, now that I've seen this thread It makes sense. I doubt the heart attack bit is completely right.

Anyway, R.I.P Jackson.

Yup now it's being confirmed and all I can think of is the "Knock You Down" lyrics with some modifications.

"This is dead, real dead Michael Jackson. Now the entertainment world is sad, real sad Joe Jackson"

I didn't know he was that ill.

Sad, although I have my opinions about him. However, I really like some of the songs he made, back in the early to mid 90's.

Yeah BBC took a while after ITV to confirm it.

You can change the question mark in the thread title now.

Well... RIP to a lengend, pity he didnt make it to his final tour. All the recient stress must have just done it for him.

I guess that it will be good now that his kids can live a more normal life.

Robin.

Sad day to someone who has always been around and contributed so much to music, and love or hate him he helped shape pop music.

I heard there were plans to cremate him but the plastic gums up the furnace so the decision was made to recycle him.
