I notice there is nothing much for offline racing.
Seems like some of you here are clapping loudly for a few extra menu options and a fix for a shadow glitche.
Keep it up and PD will just sit on their ars*s

I have to agree, there was little in the way of offline additions of things to actually do.

I really don't know what is stopping them adding 200 odd new events? Is it really that hard to think them up then add the small bit of code needed for us to run them?

Apsoludely right!!!could"nt agree more, lets all ask PD for more a-spec races and if possible a little harder ones!!!Enough for the so called "evolution" of the game what we all trully want is more cars and more races enough said.

As far as I rememeber, the Credits/experience given for online has been given a boost. So I don't know what the whining is about. "A few extra menu options"?!

Seriously?!! Adjustable gears, ballast, power restrictor, and a whole other things, are not just menu items, but GAMEPLAY changing as well.

But what use are they if there is nothing to do with them? If you don't play online, there is nothing.

Be glad that they are at least updating this game, some people will complain just about anything.

*waits for comments calling me a 🤬 fanboy*

There is a whole game dedicated to offline. More online options are needed. Personally I prefer to play with others than to sit there and play with myself.

This thread is edgy.

Hating on something that everyone else has praised. Wow

GT fanboi's will praise anything. Fact is the game is still lacking in so many areas. Most of this stuff they are taking months to patch in was in Forza 3 since launch, which oh by the way took significantly less time to build, and came out a long time ago.

Please explain this to me.

It's all very well updating it, but the offline game still isn't a patch on GT4. The amount of events is pitiful, and apart from a few seasonal events, they haven't addressed that issue.

So anybody who disagrees with a complainer automatically becomes a fanboy?:dunce:

I don't see the need of adding more A-Spec events with the current AI. Unless they improve the AI heavily, what is the point? The seasonal events are a good replacement to the lack of events, but personally I'm more interested in them adding new Special Events like they said they might add. Hopefully something like beat Fernando Alonso F10 challenge, or 908 Le Mans Qualifying challenge. These will at least feel challenging and rewarding.

To be fair i'm not really sure what else is needed, they added customisable gear ratios and fixed bugs, rest was just icing. Call me a GT5 fanboy, but what exactly are you expecting? I don't get why you arent just playing Forza if that has everything you want?

You just took the words right out of my mouth.

Did I say that? No. I said that believe it or not, there are fanboy's in the world, and many of them are unable to recognize faults. The game is still lacking in areas.

Ive been pretty tough on PD in my posts but to say this update is rubbish is nonsense. They didnt fix some things that I thought were more important than the ones they addressed so I understand your frustration but the patch fixed quite a few nagging oversights and cleaned up the menu system etc, you know, some of the small things that help add to the polished feel of the game that it sorely lacked on ship day. Is the past few updates perfect? Nope. The game is still pretty flawed but PD is at least trying to complete the game though I feel sometimes they are confused.

It can be infuriating figuring out why they fixed a minor problem but ignored a major problem for example, but if they keep cranking out fixes maybe they will eventually get to the ones that will please most of us. This is what Ive resorted to telling myself as Im getting tired of being upset at PD. They will do what they want to do, as evidenced from the last few updates.

I love the posts that say "online is the future". Well if GTs online is the future then I'd rather not play the game at all. Searching for 30 minutes to find a room where you don't disconnect. Bizarre. Never had such a problem with any online game ever like I've had with GT5. I don't see why PD can't update offline AND online EQUALLY. Not everyone wants to play online and then get into a room with tools who can't drive for crap. Though I have found some rooms with decent drivers, these are few and far between. I would like to see upgrades for both online and offline modes, I don't believe one should be favoured over the other.
