I have over 1000 cars in my garage now and when I'm in a room online it takes ages for my car list to load up! Is it an issue related to my garage size, or patch 1.10?

Supposedly this was fixed in the last patch - it does seem to take less time to access your garage when you've got over 1000 cars. It is qucker than before, but occasionally it can still tkae between 3-5 minutes just for your favourites to appear.

BUT since the patch, a new problem has emerged, people keep getting 'stuck' in lounges and lobbys and can't get out. Especially annoying if you are doing a setup session for cars for a race series, only to wait 15-20 minutes upon 'exit', then loose the yellow connection light on your PS3 and have to reboot the game, loosing your setup you just spent maybe an hr or 2 creating.

So Polyphony has fixed one thing, but have created another problem.

Nice one Kaz - good to see your on the ball m8.

Sounds like the size of your garage might be causing that.
I have 200 cars and they load up pretty fast.
Could be your internets maybe.

^Post at the same time? NONSENSE.

I thought it might have been my internet connection so went and bought an ethernet cable, so now my PS3 is hard wired via a 20mb line so surely it should be good enough.

I'm hoping all these problems are going to be fixed in the next patch, very off putting :(

I have 1050 cars and accidentally looked into the museum once....
Loading the game takes soooooooo long that I made a new account especially for racing online.
That second account only has like 25 cars, planning to get it to max 50 cars just because the reload time is sooooo long.

I must say I'm spoiled though with my fast PC, games seem to have 3 second loading time there.

Yup same problems. I have 1100 standards and 300 premiums. When I go online it lags trying to do anything. It's not the internet.

I've pretty much given up going online for the last few weeks. I'm tired of getting stuck for 10-15 minutes upon exit if I haven't already got stuck in my garage or in my tuning settings. I got one race in before I went to change my settings and got stuck.

Programming is a whack a mole game when it comes to bug fixes. Create a patch for one problem, but a new arises because of the patch itself. It's pretty normal, and I don't think Kaz actually does any of the programming himself.

Well, I tested out the large garage theory and I think that may be my problem. I'm on my backup account with less than 100 cars and I've had no issues online today. I'm exiting the lobby with no lag and I've been changing cars and tuning without any hang ups. 1000+ cars on the main account and I can't even use them :\

As I expected :(, although tonight I had a pretty successful session online, car list and settings etc were almost pretty instant at popping up but its the first time in weeks I've had an enjoyable session online where I haven't got annoyed at the game. However upon exiting the room it froze :( I waited for 30 mins to see if it exit but no, so good bye to all the tuning + the miles I racked up!

I'm waiting for the next patch before I make any movements such as downsizing my garage. Such a shame I can't play GT5 the way I would like too.

I have a full garage, 2000 cars, and the standard cars take a bit of time to load, have about 1750 of them, and in online lobbies it can really be a pain. If you're concerned about loading times, add any car you may want to drive to your favourites list, you'll have them load first online which is very nice instead of searching. Hope this helps your loading times!
