Anybody disappointed with the update, i am, new nascars that are just the same as all the other :crazy:

Standard car interior veiw, i know it says 'basic' but eww, just black outlines i'd rather not use it (was so looking forward to finally sitting in a veyron)

The new nascar photomode? whats the point, you line up a nice photo and boom the cars driven off.

Well thats just my 2cent, what about yours?

The NASCAR models are bitter sweet to me. It is cool that it is the newer car model as well as new paint jobs, however I was expecting new driver car's in general. Hopefully the DLC is good, if not then I may be building a pc for battlefield 3 and will continue my sim racing on the pc instead.
 
Look, i'm one of the biggest nay-sayers of GT5 here and i'm having a hard time coming up with complaints about this new update. It finally feels like GT5 is complete, or at least as complete as it's ever going to get. All I want now is to know what the Track DLC is going to contain.

how are you disapointed exactly? since the get go it said CLEARLY that the interiors would basically suck and that it would be new NASCAR skins.

I for one LOVE the update. you just need to stop finding anything to moan about and enjoy this FREE update. :dunce:

It actually does, this is a free content update in this day and age where most publishers push for DLC, you could be sure if this wasn't PD you'd have paid for a lot of the updates you got. I'd say for a free update this is a great thing to have support for the game. Nobody's forcing you to use the cockpit view on standard cars if you don't want to use it. Having more options is always something better :)
 
While it's certainly far from perfect, just the black shapes of the hardtop standard car cockpits is good enough to finally make me want to actually drive them. Sure, they really couldn't be any more bland to look at, but to me that's less important then serving the function of obstructing parts of the view the same way a properly modeled cockpit would, and generally make me feel like I'm not hovering in the air above the road surface in bumper/hood cam.

The open wheelers are more interesting though. I've only tried the Caterham and the Formula Gran Turismo so far, but they both have pretty great looking modeled cockpits.

Yeh the open tops are much better, try the 2J, looks very nice
 
they really screwed us regarding the seasonal events and the OCD... they have cut the payout tremendously on ALL the seasonal events. On top of that, they have doubled the price of ALL the LMS cars in the OCD. i'm pissed.

oh damn, they put it back to normal payouts, err guess im not gonna be playing it much now anyway. why didnt they just leave it a 3x payout and 1/2 price OCD, they were good times

They said the payouts were limited for a certain time..
 
only thing im really disappointed about is the ferrari seasonal event the prize money was dropped back down and no more half off on the cars in the ocd

Just expecting more then what they said was coming I guess.
Don't "expect" anything they don't say is coming in the future is all I can tell you.
 
Oh damn i am so GLAD i brought out the entire OCD at that time of all the gold that was in it, last car i officially took from there to buy it out was the Bently speed 8

...Something yesterday told me to grind all day and aquire all the cars in the OCD glad i listened. few...:O

and with 20 million credits left over from today's grind/ X1 special event, im good.

I didnt expect anything more, i just expected it to be better.
 
some standard cars have a lot better interior then others my 2j race car has a good interior but the nissan r92cp has a plain black interior hopefully they will fix them all cant wait for the dlc next week

I just bought the Suzuki GSX-R/4 Concept (amazing car, nicely modeled new cockpit view) and went out for a little drive around Nordschleife at dawn on my 3D TV. GT5 almost felt like a brand new game :).
 
The only thing that disappoints me is that the standard cockpits don't have windshield wipers.

Err, it's already been seen when PD gives the preview photo. What do you expect? Full view interior for closed standard car? Not in my book.
