Anybody disappointed with the update, i am, new nascars that are just the same as all the other :crazy:

Standard car interior veiw, i know it says 'basic' but eww, just black outlines i'd rather not use it (was so looking forward to finally sitting in a veyron)

The new nascar photomode? whats the point, you line up a nice photo and boom the cars driven off.

Well thats just my 2cent, what about yours?

EDIT: If I wanna b***h about the update thats up to me, YES its FREE so what, it doesnt mean one cant complain. Freedom of speach is a mother*****r

Thought i was the only one looking forward to the interior of the veyron, hopped in it and saw nothing but darkness and was disappointed :indiff:
 
DLC was disappointing but as far as version updates go this has got to be the best update in gaming history. What other game update has ever did something like this???? Version updates are usually just for fixing bugs, this gave us tons of new things that increased gameplay and took actual work from the developers and not just corrections for free. How can you be disappointed??

Screw EA, but yes back on topic, Guess im just a softy for japanese race cars, cause i like them all, excluding the pruis(really)

but where is the DB9, F430,458,LP60,Gallardo,maserati. etc... how dare they add spa... But not add any ALMS CAR REPLICAS!
 
I am disappointed it cost $5 for one track. Japan is quickly succumbing to American imperialism. :ouch: :lol:
 
Thanks Sony and PD for all you've done, for the record. I mean you can't please everybody. But everybody WILL continue to play GT5. If not then go buy an XBOX, buy Forza 4, **** yourselves, and then come crawling back to GT5 :dunce:
 
I guess this is the place to complain. Like I said in another thread, Turn 10 is cackling and rolling a blunt right now. I was hoping this would be so much more than what was advertised, but it's actually less.
 
At least on the closed cockpit cars that only have the black interiors, they use the proper shaped windows and mirrors for whatever car you're using. On some cars the effect works better than others.

But ALL the open cockpit cars have decently modeled interiors and use the proper steering wheel. The Tank Car is quite interesting to drive with the interior view. Does anyone know if there are any regular convertible cars with the top down? Like any Cobras or Vettes or anything else? People here should start compliling a list of all the open cockpit standard cars.

LOL, I knew Turn 10 employees would be on here trolling as soon as the update launched. And I do believe you Turn 10 employees are smoking blunts right now, and have been for the last 5 years. Because you're obviously all a bunch of drugged out stoners judging by the way you keep saying you're making a driving sim yet continually turn out a product with completely unrealistic arcade physics. Only a group of real pot-heads would do that 4 times in a row. LOL

I see this update brought out a lot of new posters to this site. Also how about you just give up an realize that PD is probably more concerned at the moment with GT6. Just saying if you thought that was going to give you a ton of stuff, then you too must of thought that this game from day one was going to have every car you could dream of. Dream on cause this was the beta for what GT6 will be. Obviously Pd needs to harness how to make interior cars, with real like damage, on a rainy Spa.
 
FFS It's almost been a year since this game's been out and STILL no matchmaking. :banghead:

This is probably all 100% correct, but they should have been focused on Forza 4 today. The sequels to both games will probably be on the next generation system, so these games are going to have an influence on what system people buy over the next few years. They're bringing 2011 cars and Jeremy Clarkson to the table, and GT5 is slapping Ethanol sponsored fuel inputs on NASCARs tp call them new cars and blacked out interior models.

Let's see...

First, the big one, STILL NO MORE STEALTH OR CHROMELINE CARS COMING TO AMERICA. So, once again, only a European or Asian player has the possibility of running the absolute end-all, be-all tuning garage. I don't think I need to explain what's wrong with that!

Second, a Prius touring car? And a CR-Z? Seriously? Why are hybrids that important?

Third, we get... Spa and a kart track. That's OK, Spa itself will be enough to make me buy, but where are things like Red Rock Valley, the old Rome, and EL CAPITAN WHICH WAS IN A TRAILER?

Fourth, more chrome? Flourescent colors? Rejoice, for soon even more ugly cars will be seen online.

Fifth, they're basically giving us a Stig suit. The good news, I will be able to dress up like the Stig. The bad news, there will be a million Stigs running around now.

Sixth, first the free X2010 and now this? Oh boy, another noobmobile.

Seventh, the tripled seasonal payouts were one of the best things they'd done, and now they've gone and undone it. Now I'll have to log in every day just so my grinding (which is just about all I do in GT5 anymore) will be somewhat effective.

Eighth, they still haven't derestricted trading back to the way it was before 1.07. I don't think I need to explain what's wrong with that.

Ninth, where are the standards upgraded to premium?

Tenth, STILL NO LIVERY EDITOR. It's 2011 and they STILL DON'T HAVE A LIVERY EDITOR.

Im not sure what it does to a saved replay,Il have to check that out.

Either way its better than what it was but I was looking forward to a normal ff rw replay.
Never expect normal with gt5 I guess lol

I don't understand your complaint. I haven't tried it yet. Are you saying it doesn't work well or you don't think it was needed?

Never mind. I see it now. Hmmmm, that is weird. I guess PD likes to do things the unconventional way.
 
I can't help but feel dissappointed by this update and DLC. As much as there will be an improvement, the lack of production cars (non-race) and one track addition (really, who cares about the kart tracks) seems a little wasteful. I'm sure Motegi, Midfield etc...may be able to be downloaded a little way down the track but, I find the inclusion of touring cars doesn't help the game when the actual racing itself doesn't feel like racing.
Maybe my view of a race is different to PD's? I might be whinging a little with this but I will still get the DLC. I just find that for a racing game, the actual race structure is way off.

Another X1 2010, Prius Race Car, 11 Nascars (just one model with livery changes).
I wanted to get my hopes up and I wanted PD to prove me wrong...
 
Why would you be disappointed with the update when you got exactly what you were told you were getting? I think people should be far more appreciative of the continuing FREE support and nearly constant updates we've been getting and continue to get (ALMOST EVERY WEEK!) for a game that's almost a year old already. Pretty rare in this industry. May I also remind you that no one is paying any subscription service fees for all that we get? Stop complaining.

Just to add to this, after downloading and installing 2.0, you have to go into your My GT menu before going to the GT TV section, otherwise GTTV won't update right away.




My biggest disappointment is with the prize money amounts with races. They all dropped like rocks. The seasonal races are barely worth it now. I think they are compensating for the login bonus, which pretty much makes that worthless.

oh damn, they put it back to normal payouts, err guess im not gonna be playing it much now anyway. why didnt they just leave it a 3x payout and 1/2 price OCD, they were good times

Come on, we knew that the trplie payout was for a limmited time.
By now you should (or at least can) have all the cars you really want.

Now you just have to do some races a few times.
and really save up for the high priced cars...

What exactly is match making and why do so many people want it? I'm loving the new update except for the new photo travel location, it's boring and I can't even take a picture of my own car at it.

I have 5 chromelines and one Stealth. However, there are 6 chromelines and 7 Stealths in total. Some of them aren't even available here.

Only European or Asian players can access, and thus tune, all those cars at once.

Hence, American players are all inelligible for a certian potential post of honor. It's hard to run the ultimate tuning garage when there are like 7 (if you have the Gamestop Camry) or 8 (if, like me, you preordered from Amazon instead) cars other people can tune and you can't.

This is the kind of update that should have happened 1 month after release. 2.0 should have been a near total revamp of MUCH of the game.

I agree with you too, but aside from what I said I also stick to what I said. PD should have been working on this stuff back in GT3 or GT4 so when they entered this super gen console war they would have been ahead of the PS3. Now it just feels like they're trying to play catch up with other games (PC included) and are taking baby steps. This is why I'm sure GT6 is being worked on and re-calculating all the failures of GT5. All the massive GT5 lovers that see this game doing no wrong will know a true GT game come GT6.

To the nascar bit that was too funny, oh dont forget the front bumper is fixed now to the 2011 and not the splitter of '10.

Because it is a feature listed in the manual and it still isn't in. I don't always have time to search for a room that's to my liking, so this would really help me if I just want a quick race.

Judging by it's description, it's very similar to the online events in GT5P.
