Starting a new game after data corruption

Oh Man! That's bad news! (You losing your data, I mean.)

I was about to PM you about the track day at Laguna! You'll still be welcome, but you'll need a car.... Ginetta, maybe?

Yeah, that's great and all but I suspect some cheats were used.:confused: At the end at the menu is shows something like 1,000,000,000,000 Credits and No Car. Also its says 17APR which is the day the game starts off in normally. :odd:

Just admit it if you did cheat, I honestly don't care.:indiff:

Well you have to admit it does look suspicious. I don’t know how cheat codes work, but I assume they make some programming changes to the game save as that is the only thing that can record data - which may have caused your game data to get corrupted in the first place.

Perhaps the codes are now permanently installed for that memory card, thus whenever you start the game you get what appears to be a code that gives you $1 trillion credits (LMAO) and all gold licenses - as all those cars were the cars you get when you get all gold for each license.

Try using a different memory card with no GT4 game save, or erase the GT4 game save from that memory card and start fresh.

There is no such thing that could have corrupted my datas as I use my GameShark for numerous other games, don't put spagetti sauce on uncooked pastas. If the GameShark was corrupting game datas, it would not be on sale.

Anyway, if my datas were corrupted, I maybe just turned off the PS2 at a moment I wasnt supposed to by not giving attention to it. I runned those datas for close to 2 years and it happened all of the sudden.

Hey buddy, it's not hard to get 80 golds... So don't assume because he has 80 golds means hes cheating. Cheats don't make the game get currputed, mine got currupted also, and i sure in hell did not use cheats. I'm a GT4 geek/god, I play every day, i have no use for cheatsm niether do most people here. I can beat most people that come in my way... Including you ;)

NOWHERE did I ever suggest it's hard to get 80 golds playing the game... the deal though is that his game starts by automatically giving him all gold and the $1 trillion credits.

How would you know if i watched the video or not? Yeah I DID watch the video, infact i watched it about 5 mins after he posted it.

How would you know that the game started out but just giving them to him? Do you have proof? Huh? No you don't, ok maybe he used it for the $$$, but he could of done it for the licenses, and he just edited doing all the crap... Not very hard to do..

AND I never Appologised, nor will i ever appolgise for somthing I don't need to. I reall am not a appolgising person. Yes I know i'm a annouing asshole, you can deal with it, if my mom can.

which gave me... All licenses in gold, all the prize cars off the licenses, and 1 trillion dollars...

Because you told him that "because you get 80 golds doesn't mean you're cheating" when he was actually saying that it did look suspicious when he got 1 trillion $$ and 80 golds at the beggining of the game...that's when he realized that you hadn't watched the video/thread title.

He had no car AND the total money was exactly 1 trillion instead of 1 trillion and 10k more that you get at regular start off. And if he didn't have the B license, he then must have used a GT3 game save to get a car AND the licenses...which is not the case because he had a trillion $$$ at start off... again, READ THE THREAD TITLE AND WATCH THE VIDEO

I know, I know, but some games credits are transered differently. Cuase I thought that you start out with like Cr.1,000,000 in the Asian version or somthing.. I didn't know what verison he had. Ans saying that i didn't watch the video is wrong, cause I really did.. Next time, say somthing like.. "I don't know, but it doesn't seem like you have seen the video.." Or what ever...

I did had a corrupted game save, but I deleted it to replace it with a fresh new game...

Whatever, maybe I did point out the obvious a little (but I'm sure noone else noticed that). Meh, cheats are fun after you beat the game. :indiff:
 
Well, I think MugenVTEC should be able to cheat since he lost his older game save and has gone through all the license tests, and probably just wants to resume to the point where he was before.
 
MugenVTEC - The flooding was mostly caused by a database glitch yesterday morning. I've tidied up now.

Mr.Ozzy - -ize is US English, -ise is English. "Apologise" is a perfectly acceptable word (though "appologise" isn't).

Everybody... Gamesharks DO have the potential to screw up gamesaves. GT - and especially GT4 - is notoriously fragile anyway, but gameshark-type-devices work by actively modifying the code while the game is being played. I've had many gamesaves on different games corrupted because of Gameshark use.
 
Mugen can cheat all he wants, It's just that he did(n't) complete the game honestly.
