Welcome to the SNAIL [GT1 Championship] Series:

We represent the full tuning series of the SNAIL Racing League on Gran Turismo Sport.
We race the Group 3 picking new cars at the end of each season.
We split our drivers into two classes Pro and Pro-Am
to better separate the aliens from the mortals.

Race Format:

We will race on Monday's at 9:00 EST Time, with the room opening at around an hour before start time.
Each night will consist of one 50 minute timed race at the chosen track.

Tire regulations:

In the Group 3 Class Series Racing Soft and Racing Medium are the compound choice. The Racing Medium compounds must be used a minimum of 6 complete laps in every race.

Pit Stops:

Pit in and pit out do not count towards your minimum mandatory lap count on the option tires.

Explained in greater detail here

Qualifier Rules:

During the qualifier it is legal to pit at any time to change your tire compound.

Championship Prize:

TBD

Rules:

We expect all drivers to follow our S.N.A.I.L. OLR and pursue Good Racecraft at all times
It can be summed up in one simple 'Golden Rule' of motorsports:

It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly, and incident free.
If you don't agree with this rule or don't think it applies to you, this is not the league for you.

Rules contrary to the OLR:
"PIT ROAD CLOSED"

This will be written into the chat box when the head of the room is wanting to start the race.
All participants are to not enter the tuning section of the lobby screen (the tach or the wrench) and to wait on track for the race to start. Entering either will result in a major penalty.

Pit road exit: you are to run out the entire marked exit while keeping 2 tires within the lines.

Cones: contrary to the SNAIL OLR killing cones will not result in a penalty.

To negate an out of bounds penalty you are required to execute a full and complete lift off the gas pedal at the safest possible moment. ("partial lifts" are not a proper demonstration of remorse)

Track concessions are a 50/50 chance of avoiding a penalty but will most certainly be taken into consideration when determining the severity of the penalty.

Pit Etiquette:

All known pit exits marked with solid or broken blend lines are to be run out completely. You are not to cross any pit lines on exit until they run out.

Incident Reports:

If, at anytime during race night, you feel you have been a victim of a race incident, please contact @Jakedog23, @Whitey093, and @lllTrick, and the person who "caused" the incident as well, through the GTPlanet PM system.
We will look at the replay and take action we deem necessary.

Driver Roster with Car Choice
Cars will be chosen differently from Odd Numbered Seasons to Even Numbered Seasons.
In Even Numbered Seasons the winners of the last season will get first pick and then everyone else will pick in turn of season finishing order.
In Odd Numbered Seasons the last place finisher will pick first then everyone will pick in turn to the winner.
To make this process as fast a possible please tag the next person in line so they are aware it is their turn to pick.

We will always have a 1 week break in between seasons for this process and will have an open test race for the off week.

Thanks for the offer! I'll think about it.

I am currently not going to be partaking in GT1 in the future since choir rehearsal is still going on Wednesday Nights. I enjoyed racing against all of you on track. Will let others know on here if i am able to start racing again in GT1.

are we running Brands Hatch or Suzuka this Wednesday? Do we have to sign up or are you looking for a head count?

Race 3: Brands Hatch. Looking for a head count for the series so we know what we are working with.

Just looking for head count. No need to sign up again as we will be using the same cars and tracks to finish out the season

Edit: Tree'd by the name @nmcp1

I'm still here and willing to race, please add me to the driver's list. I'd still like to use #9 if possible but I see @CoachMK21 also has it. Car color is "Fawn," and wheel color is "Vitamin C."

Count me in as well. I'll be there tonight to help out with hosting bugs and what have you. maybe we can sort out rolls tonight make sure everything is ready.

I'll either be backup host or main host based on what @chuyler1 decides.
