I would be Wednesdays have become my only night I really have time with GT anymore.

At about 7:05 I log on, confirm this weeks track, get about 30 or so minutes of warm up time, scramble together a strategy, and then its time to join the room

The below listed drivers (not listed in BOLD below) need to confirm their intent to race at Suzuka Circuit 2014 by replying in this topic (no later than 8:00pm eastern on Race Day) with a simple post that they plan to race this week (Example - I plan to race this week). I will update the list accordingly.

I just did a mock 20 min race at Suzuka Circuit 2014 and with only one small slide going into the Spoon Curve the lowest any of tires got was 4 and it was the front left. They wear quite evenly due to the track being clockwise and counter-clockwise. Fuel lasted as well but I was shifting to 6th for the long straight when that's not needed, going into 3rd sooner, staying in 4th for the Esses, and towards the end shifting at 7,000 RPM then 6,000 RPM. I might have still made it had I not been so harsh. Finally a track that this car doesn't eat it's tires at.
 
Well ideally you want it to be smooth and even on the tires and it does that well.

After looking at last two weeks, I going to update the the process for when we are having lobby issues similar to the last two weeks. May not be the final version but it will be this one we go with for now

Club Lobby will be opened (with fixed host) by GrimGrnninGhost per normal schedule
  • Those who can't see all drivers will be asked to leave lobby, reset Cache and return.
  • If still not seeing all drivers
    • Grim will close club lobby and open new public lobby (again fixed host)
    • All drivers will be asked to clear cache and return to new public lobby
  • If still not seeing all drivers
    • Grim will close public lobby and Backup Host (as determined by Grim) will create new public lobby
    • All drivers will be asked to clear cache and return to new lobby
  • If still not seeing all drivers
    • All drivers who can't see other drivers will be asked to exit lobby and perform full reset of modem, router, ps3 and return for race #2. This means they will miss the first race but will be awarded last place points.
The above process should help minimize the down time in working these situations.

The change here is the room will be using fixed host settings. Although it should be better, with running it as a fixed host, we do run the risk of the fact that if I get dropped during the race, the whole room will go down with me. Thankfully this has not been an issue however, If the room crashes during a race, I will make the call on restarting the race or scrapping the race and points will be awarded based on qualifying positions. Depends on how the night is going and the time

Schedule Change​

Good morning all, After looking at the current schedule and with the holidays coming up, I'm going to move up the Season 5 All Star Race to 12/31/14 (New Years Eve). Yes I know its New Years Eve however considering its a non points paying exhibition race and we only have the single race, we should be done by 10:30 eastern. This will allow me to wrap up the season in 2014 and we can kick off season 6 in 2015 right away. Hopefully this wont impact many of you but I really don't want a 3 week gap in the middle of the season just for the All Star Race. Thanks for your understanding. If you have any questions, please let me know.

Below is a preview of the upcoming potential combos to chose from for Season 6 (Germany Cup). After Wednesday's races, you can place your vote (Race Car selection), via PM only, for the race car to be used for next season from one of the two listed below. You get 1 vote for each race you participated in during Season 5. Voting will remain open for 48 hours once the official announcement gets posted in the forum. Part 2, track selection, will go up for votes once the car has been selected.

Hello once again

In an effort to streamline the Color Selection process and to bring back the Spotters Guide for season 6, I have included a color chart where we can see who is using which colors. This will also let me know what your default colors are for each season unless you tell me otherwise. The problem I have currently is when you were part of a team, I would not know what your default color so I could revert you back should you not be part of a team the following season.

That said, going forward with Season 6, if the current Active Drivers don't provide me your default paint chips (Body AND Rims) prior to the start of the season, (new drivers will be required to provide this info before they are confirmed into the series), you will be moved to the part time driver list. By having this default list, it should make this process much easier for me to administer and I wont have to bug you all each season for this info. This will also help to see who is running which colors so we dont have too many of the same shade.

I have tagged all the active drivers so they see this (and the above posts). Please send me a pm with your pain chip name and I will update the listing.

Sorry but 29 was already taken prior to you joining and is still assigned to one of the part time drivers. You had taken 28 when I informed you of this back in season 1. The number assignments are the key in my system for tracking points. That said, I will update the colors for you. Thanks
 
Watched last nites academy episode Russ. I imagine it was quite the experience to remember forever.
