This is what I'm hoping for too. The D2 guys are starting to hate me (settle down, I'm being hyperbolic) and the D1 guys are mostly just dots on the horizon for me.
Agreed, hyperbolicly. (I don’t know what that means but it sounds existential). You have shown 2 months in a row that you’re D1.5. The season point spread is one good indicator. Trouble is that I finished [distant] 2nd place in July (7th in June) and yet I’ll get ‘sucked’ into your division. :banghead: Dag nabbit!
Oh and we only hate you because you’re beautiful.
Soo, yaaahhh, you’ll be required to run one step harder tires. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.

@KookiDowg

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1,@zer05ive ,@Rednose58,@MajorBlixem & @SAMHAIN85 as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Awesome my dudes! PM has just been made!

Also, shout to the homie who recommended me here from that random one-make race during Tsukuba in GT Sport, rkzbj04.

I have been seeking for a good active racing league for quite some time and now hopefully this will be it!

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!

Prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next couple of minutes. @SAMHAIN85 @thracerviewr @stelephant

If you raced in D1 this week, you are allowed to make one suggestion for Prize A. To make your suggestion you must post in this thread. You must be clear about the car and track you are choosing. You must choose a time of day and describe it accurately (failure to specify a time of day will result in the default time of day being used.) You must only make one suggestion. You must not edit your post to change your suggestion. You must make your suggestion by Noon ET on Wednesday.

To close out any potential confusion and to make it official, I need a mid division lap time for the TOYOTA S-FR RACING CONCEPT 2016 on SS Tires @ Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East II - 11:30 Fine Weather - TBD Laps

A mid division lap time is what we expect the slower drivers in D2 and the faster drivers in D3 will run in our current league with 3 divisions. The time is rounded up to the next full second.

e.g. If you test the combo and you run 1:29.410 as a fast time then think about where you are in the league. (the following part is without prejudice)
  • If you are @SAMHAIN85 then you probably want to add a second or two or more to that lap time depending on the complexity and length of the circuit and declare for example 1:31.410 which is then rounded up to 1:32 for a mid div lap time.
  • If you are @stelephant you are probably mid-pack in the league overall, so you will round it up to 1:30 for a mid div lap time.
In most cases it is not necessary to be super accurate because you have lots of play. The problem only comes at the "transition times" such as 2:00 (6 laps) and 2:01 (5 laps) or 1:42 (7 laps) and 1:43 (6 laps). As you can see, anything between 1:43 and 2:00 will be 6 laps.
With 4 divisions we will look at the faster drivers of D3.

Have a nice day.

Just for us data nerds would you mind sharing all of the transition times?

I will post mid division lap time later on. Ran so many cars yesterday it is a blur as to that car’s time. Sorry for the delay

Not ur fault. GTS should have never offered a car without a cockpit view

Then you also shouldn’t release a car that has interior view issues after release (looking at you Audi R8 4.2). [since been fixed FYI]

Sorry, not trying to pick a fight here.

Also, if you’re on probation, does that mean ALL of your actions will be watched?
