What are you doing here man? Don't you have, like, somewhere to be? :p
Have a good day, it was nice knowing you @Die_Birdy_Die ...I look forward to getting to know Mr. Birdy in the coming weeks.
I'm not sure If I'm going to loose my micro purchases I'm going to phone psn on monday to see how to change my profile name asto not loose my stuff. :) and cousins in the shower so I've got time to kill lol

Here's a video clip from a recent race. I would like to get my fellow Snails' opinion.

The first part of the clip is where the red car executes a pass in turn 1 on the blue car. The driver of the blue car complained that the pass wasn't clean so the red car slowed down to let him through to launch another attack. The second attack made for some great door to door racing.

My question to my fellow Snails. In your opinion was the pass on the blue car clean? The video clip shows both perspectives from the blue and the red car.

Would love to get your opinions
.

Pass looked fine to me

As the co-series director for the Tuesday SNAIL World Road Racing Challenge, I'm happy to congratulate @irmopars for taking the Series Championship in our third season. Was a close battle with @ONESPACE to the very end and came down to the final race of the season.

With the above comes the announcement that we are once again accepting applications for new drivers to join the fun. If your looking for something to do on Tuesday and have a PS4 with Project Cars, please check out the thread for the Tuesday SNAIL World Road Racing Challenge and sign up in the thread. The next season starts next week on 10/27/15 and would love to have some quality SNAILS join the fun. Season 4 will feature either the Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evo2 DTM or Renault Clio Cup competing on 8 different tracks with both Night and day races along with a rain shower two. Space is limited so if your interested, don't delay.

With the recent update, starting with this season, we will be forcing stock tuning along with mandatory pitstop requirements for each race. This should help bring the field even closer.

If you have any questions about the Tuesday SNAIL World Road Racing Challenge , please let me know. Hope to see you on the track.

Regards, Grim and Zii

Need pictures of the G37 @ Rome please. I have no banner pics for that one.

EDIT: Never mind that, I see some now.

Number one was for your sure and luckily clean, however running that inside line down into turn one is very risky!
I got a dive-boom penalty there and learned that even though you let them have the corner!
going wide into it give's you more speed out (GOOD) but next is the left that gets tighter on exit. so you slow more!

bottom line for ME! is yea I can run the inside but the outside is faster and there will be contact if your both close enough!

but next is the left that gets tighter on exit. so you slow more!

This highlights why this move is a good one. There's not much benefit to wait, because the next corner is quickly reached. He will gain more in the long run because he will not be blocked through the next few technical turns.

Interestingly enough, the following comparison is very similar to Nurb T1 since it's downhill. Forward to 09:15. I'm getting a good run through the back straight/esses/front straight. Could I have stolen the inside line at turn 1? Sure, but we'd both go slower and I lose the advantage of good momentum to catch the next guy. If I did not make the move at the following hairpin, I'd be stuck behind him for the next 4 turns, then be forced to make a move at turn 10 rather than turn 3.

As it turns out I missed getting by the next guy by less than a kart length.

Here's my 2 pennies.

That's about as clean a pass as there is at that corner. The telling view is from behind the blue car. At about 1:08-1:09 on the vid clock is where they made their turn in. Where's the red car at that point? Got almost 2 car lengths ahead by then. Pity that black car was there. Woulda been one helluva spot for a cross under pass when the red car washed out on exit and had to slow to stay in bounds. Whoever was in the blue car just flat got beat under braking but, they woulda been in position to own the red car on exit.

Thanks for the video @nmcp1 !
My pedals are still working fine but considering my G27 is two years old I think is the perfect moment for a good cleaning.

I had not seen this the 1st time around and since I'm getting horrendously bad spiky pedals, I guess I know what I'm doing in the morning tomorrow.
Thank you, @nmcp1! And @JJLopez427 for bringing it to my attention.

I was in the blue car lol. I was slowing to not hit the black car and Blixem took clean advantage. I shouldn't have left as much room as I did on the inside but I really didn't expect him to go that hard on braking.Could have ended very badly and that's why I left room. I was also trying to go wide and get under the black car but attacking and defending at the same time is tough

Great discussion. If I had the ability I would do one of these video examples a week. Very informative feedback from everyone.

here it is!
maybe not but here is His run at ROME;
Never mind, he's just not worth my time.

I missed the whole discussion and just put my two cents at the end cuz I watched it and was like "hey that's me!" ^_^

I do like open discussions though. So often people think argument and forget we can have logical arguments called discussions

Chatva it would actually have great if you wasted your time and show the video. It would have shown how skilfull @nmcp1 is. I believe he started in 12th place and had to work his way through the whole field. He caught and passed me with (I think) 2 laps to go. Unfortunately he hit the wall and that allowed me to pass again and hold on for a very narrow win

It was clean until he bumped the car ahead of both of them.

Woulda coulda shoulda regarding if the black car had not been there. It was and he slammed into it and knocked his rear end out.

Now, had the black car not been there my normal line would have seen the blue car go right under the red car on exit having about 20mph on him at that corner exit point of the track. The red car basically has to come to a complete stop using that line. But seeing as how Major is no rookie either I'm sure that he could have easily made his car wide enough to block that type of expected counter attack.

Under strict rules the IR points incurred would outweigh the position gained. But MOST people driving the black car would not see any reason to file it. If it were Bowler in the black car, and you had gotten by him at any point in that evening then you had better be prepared for a witch hunt of epic proportions and a level 5 "you pissed me off" penalty :)

This. In the moment when I said it wasn't clean I wasn't talking about against me, I meant the black car. Glad you guys agree
