The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - ASTON MARTIN V8 VANTAGE S 2015 (SS) at Nürburgring GP - 12:00 Fine weather (5 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @SAMHAIN85 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @SAMHAIN85 has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @SAMHAIN85 is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - SUBARU WRX GR.4 (SS) at Autodrome Lago Maggiore - East II - 11:30 Fine Weather (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @stelephant gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @thracerviewr so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

The best ones are by Alonso, Raïkkönen and Gasly, I think. But most of them are pretty interesting,

I feel bad for Stoffel. There's an Amazon Prime show called Grand Prix Driver that follows the beginning of 2017 McLaren season. It was a tough one for McLaren but it left me rooting for the rookie Stoffel. 2018 is not a good year for him. I'd recommend the show (I think it's about 6 eps). Pretty interesting seeing behind the scenes.

Yes I've seen it! And I also felt really bad for him. He just has so much bad luck.
Me too and it's very insightful. It was supposed to follow through the whole season but you can tell filming changed after the bit when they try to start up the engine. They cut it short to keep from being too embarrassing. Such a shame they couldn't get it together.

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
We have 11 incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, August 4, 2018.

Prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next couple of minutes. @SAMHAIN85 @thracerviewr @stelephant

If you raced in D1 this week, you are allowed to make one suggestion for Prize A. To make your suggestion you must post in this thread. You must be clear about the car and track you are choosing. You must choose a time of day and describe it accurately (failure to specify a time of day will result in the default time of day being used.) You must only make one suggestion. You must not edit your post to change your suggestion. You must make your suggestion by Noon ET on Wednesday.

SNAIL is Expanding
SNAIL will be increasing our number of divisions for the August season to 4. The drivers list will get a substantial update, I'm aiming for Wednesday to have something posted, so that there is ample time to create divisional threads and find a fourth group of volunteers to handle the essential duties.

This expansion will allow SNAIL to continue to grow and welcome new and returning drivers during the fall months when participation has historically been higher than in the summer months.

Keep an eye out for the drivers list update.

I am also still in need of some helpers with this event, please read the first post to find out more information. Thanks

This is what I'm hoping for too. The D2 guys are starting to hate me (settle down, I'm being hyperbolic) and the D1 guys are mostly just dots on the horizon for me.
Yep. I see them as Aliens. They're dots on the map for me.
