We need a few more drivers to put some oomph into the event.

I can't set up a practice room on Thursday night because I'm out of town till Saturday. If someone wants to set up a room, then I suggest to do 2 x 20 lap races with different tires of your choice or 1 x 30 lap race to get a feel for tire wear.

If you guys struggle too much we can allow traction control. Anything to make it a bit more enjoyable. Let me know in the Holiday Discussion thread

The idea is that to get the car to rotate properly in low speed turns by creating a very loose turn in balance. Of course, because as speeds increase oversteer moments do as well, you attempt to mitigate the hairiness by increasing rear grip only at higher speeds; which is conveniently what you get with a big wang. Shorter wheelbases further exacerbate the (traditionally set up) FWD turn-in instability, which require greater forces to keep the rear behind you than a longer car.

This makes lots of sense now. Explains some of the other Best Motoring videos I've seen where some of these shorter wheelbase Hondas are "tail-happy" even though they exactly aren't. 👍
 
Prize Selection Update​

Now that Prize A is settled, it's time for more suggestions. If you raced in D3 on Sunday, you get to make one suggestion for a car to replace the Ford GT. You only get one suggestion and it must be posted here. You are not allowed to edit your post to change your selection. You must be clear in the car you are choosing. If it's not clear, your suggestion will be thrown out. Example: If you say "Corvette," that would be thrown out and you would lose your suggestion. The deadline to make a suggestion will be 11:59 PM ET on Friday night. Once this window closes @RacingOtaku86 will make his choice from the suggestions given.

Mother Nature is not in agreement with my weekend plans. She is sending thunderstorms and torrential downpours for this weekend. Not your typical wilderness camping weather... That will put me down as..... Yes, please, sign me up!

Chances of this one making the cut are SLIM (“ra” is fat finger typo that may get it thrown out) and NONE (taking a rear engine rear drive car down through the ginormous esses at seaside II is more car to handle than most want). Keep in mind however, that we SNAILs are not like others and keep your fingers crossed!
 
I know there's only 2 combos picked will anyone be running a practice tonight? If not I dont mind running one around 9 central.
