Dang, I was anticipating making a prize A selection if Tim missed the deadline. Was having trouble coming up with a car (under spending limit) that could run a lap on Nurdturdring Nord in <5 minutes.

Each ‘like’ for @SAMHAIN85 ’s post above is a vote for the Nerdturdring to feature in SNAIL, prior to the GT7 launch. @Rob Brown thank you for keeping up the good fight!

@Rob Brown
I found a car that is faster without ABS Rob. I may choose Lamborghini for Manufacturer’s Cup next season. The Gr.4 is way faster without ABS. We should run it in snail soon.

@EvoSpecX doesn't show as being on the site since Tuesday night when he passed the freeze so we are going to start a suggestion and voting process.

If you raced in D2, you get to make a suggestion for a car. This car must meet the basic requirements (not hitting the rev limiter and running a lap in under 5 minutes) to be suggested. The window for suggestions will close at 4PM ET today. Once that window is closed, those that raced in D1 will vote for the car from those suggestions.

Due to the difficulty involved in finding a car for this track, if @EvoSpecX should post a choice, the suggestion and voting process will be abandoned.

Talking about strange things... That Mach Forty featured before and it seems we are always picking strange tracks for that car....

Here is the Mach Forty history. If not the shortest, then the longest.....

@EvoSpecX You're up to find a car for Route X. It can't redline, even in the draft, and has to run a lap time under 5 minutes. I believe that there were a couple of suggestions given a few posts up.
Look in the N700 (or N600) category. It has the most cars that will fit the combo. I have tested a few that never over rev and are very close to 5 min lap times. Ford GT 2006 (N600) will do a 4:55 ish lap time.

I had a great last lap battle with @Timlour when the mach 40 was at Maggiore. 2 years ago already

I stand corrected. There are other cars that work at Route X. My suggestion: Gr X SRT Tomahawk S VGT.
The suggestion window has closed and we have one. Since there is no voting to be done, the above quoted post will be the car for Route X.

Here are the choices. We need a lap time for the Dodge and then I will update the details sheet with all the information

1. CHEVROLET CORVETTE STING RAY SPORT COUPE 1963 on SS Tires @ Tsukuba Circuit - 10:00 Cloudy - (15 Laps)
2. ASTON MARTIN VI2 VANTAGE GT3 2012 on RH Tires @ Circuit de la Sarthe - 15:00 Clear - (4 Laps)
3. DODGE SRT TOMAHAWK VISION GRAN TURISMO STREET on RM Tires @ Special Stage Route X - 20:00 Fine Weather - (TBD Laps)

If the Dodge doesn't work out for some reason, there will be an executive decision to finalize the Combos

I may regret my car suggestion.
Little heads up if your overtake button isn't enabled you will loose draft and never catch back up on third combo
I am trying to find out how to do this on my Fanatec CSL wheel. On Thursday I learned the outcome of not being able to use this magic "overtake" button. I'll try another Google search.

Edit: I knew I had altered the buttons on my wheel. First Youtube video reminded where. Now to learn how to use my magic "pass" button.

Like I said in the practice lobby, you need to bind/map a button for "Overtake":

Then all you need to do is press and hold that button down for the entire race. So pick a button that's comfortable to press and hold.

It does run down the juice, watch the battery bar on the fuel gauge, just enough charge to complete the race by my tests. Bit of a pain to hold down the button the whole time.

The drivers list and grid list are updated and ready for this week's racing.

On a side note. We have almost completed our move. All the important things are moved and it's just clean up at the old house. My rig has been painted and is awaiting reassembly which means that I should be returning to racing sometime this season and may get the rust knocked off by the time GT7 comes out.

Division 2
  1. Ice_Warden -------- voted to eliminate Round 3 - 84 (81.00 for Prize B)
  2. EvoSpec10 --------- voted to eliminate Round 3
  3. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 3

  5. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 3

  7. Cdn_Sweet_Tee ----- voted to eliminate Round 3
  8. Skills_19657 ------ voted to eliminate Round 3
  9. wetcoastsailor ---- voted to eliminate Round 3
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - DODGE SRT TOMAHAWK VISION GRAN TURISMO STREET (RM) at Special Stage Route X - 20:00 Fine Weather (3 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @gatordaryl wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - CHEVROLET CORVETTE STING RAY SPORT COUPE 1963 (SS) at Tsukuba Circuit - 10:00 Cloudy (15 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @IceWarden gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Timlour so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

All prize winners are clear to make their selections. The conversation will be started later today, no internet at work due to power outage yesterday. You do not have to wait for the conversation to be started to make your selections.
