I’m with ya Jeff, all this vintage stuff is killing me on the sidelines. Used to be every time I mentioned vintage or open wheel stuff to Lobban he’d just shriek at me and run away!

Not sure I’d be into points for qualy, that’s starting to make us almost kinda serious! Plus there’s a couple of us who are doing things for the race night that don’t allow us to get as much qualy time in. Also people coming in later because they can’t start as early.

I got some good news yesterday, I was given permission to put 100% weight on my left leg. I’m now going to be put on the ready list for rehab, which means a move to hospital #3, but it’s the best rehab around so I’m very happy about that. Will be moving as soon as a spot is available, could be tomorrow or a couple of weeks. The big issue is how close to Lobban I’m going to be!

Scores will be posted by end of afternoon.

Edit: Just got the news I'm moving to the General Hospital Rehab Centre tomorrow. That means I could be home in a couple of weeks!

That's great news Steve, you'll be back before you know it.
As far as qualy points, I feel the same. Of course I'd never get any as I always qualify in race trim, ( I use qualify as practice time)

Alrighty then......

A perfect track for these beauties.....just so ya know.
A will race the GTC cars......you're welcome.
B will drive the GTB cars, yes we drove the Merc not to long ago, but the Beeemer is available as well as the escort.
This will be another night of choosing one car or all three in your class. It'll also mean the A guys will be starting at the rear on a very tight track with a car that can keep up on this track, it should make for some poop the pants racing.

Lobban, will you quite posting next weeks event before I get the scores done, you're making me look lazy!

I called it a night after the start of race 2 last night but watched a good bit of the rest of it this morning. Other than my co-cheese causing some issue's at the start of race 1, it looked like a pretty good night of racing. Not sure if the change in division for some did much this week to promote closer racing, but there did seem to be less whining, well, what I heard in race 1 :D. And these cars make it a bit tougher to judge things.

And BTW @GTLehman, your #1 fan was curled up in bed with me watching the racing last night, that's the real reason I didn't see all of it ;)

Congrats to @The__Camel , this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Group A win
Congrats to @Mike Lobban , this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Group B win

You didn't hear any whining because my violin broke.
I don't believe there is any footage of me playing the violin on face tube. But there is of me playing guitar.

Great news about the move for rehab Steve. Speaking of rehab, any positive news regarding the nerves in your foot? I'm so hopeful that you'll get all that function back with physical therapy. Sorry if that's a sour subject right now, but believe me, I so want the best for your recovery. Keep that foot moving around any way you can, even with some thera-bands if you have to. Just to prevent the possible atrophy. Good luck bud.

Good to hear Steve, atleast one of us will be back soon.
Suppost to leave today, still nothing from the dipsticks in London.
Some old lady that I walked past today said “good to be home?”
Rub it in why don’t ya...

Instead of my one phone call they give me internet for 2 minutes.
Why don't you just marry someone. From what I understand, Mike knows this cute little curly-haired platinum blonde named Dolly. Now, he's kind of partial to her, but maybe you can work out a deal.
She's no nag, and for a pair of wellies, Bob's your uncle...
She'll set you up really nice in the jumper industry...

Still waiting on this “in house dispute” to be settled, whatever that is. But I’ll be billing the Canadian government from the 27th on for all expenses, or I go public. They said in an email if this goes public they will look really bad.
I wouldn’t consider this public yet, but as David likes to say, tick tock. Tick tock.

Saw my surgeon Thursday to discuss pre-surgical therapy, what to expect post surgery, etc. Usually I see his nurse practitioner, she consults with him, she gets back to me, yada yada yada. So he (my surgeon) comes into the room after I've already spoke to the N.P. and I'm like, "Oh Schlitz, this can't be good." He's really been trying to avoid this, but he'd just feel a lot better if I just did one more little test before he does my surgery. He's 90% sure he knows what's wrong, but he'd like to be even more sure. So, just a little CT myelogram. I don't know if any of you have actually experienced a spinal tap before, but I have, once, around ten years ago. It's one of those experiences that you hope you'll never have to worry about doing again. It hurts - bad - it SUCKS. So I've got that going for me on the 11th. Yay! 👍

Hope it goes alright Gr8. If he feels it best to do the test it may be for the better. Who knows, it may make whatever he has to do next much easier.
Keep us posted.

That sucks, but I guess the surgeon is being extra cautious. So that is better than not.

I’m feeling for you Jeff, I had an epidural a couple of times and the second one hit the wrong spot and oh man, that is one crazy ass experience I never want to go through again.
Our saga’s continue! I did the move to the rehab center on Thursday and boy, it’s going to be busy weeks. I think I will likely be looking at three weeks there. They give you weekend passes so I spent my first night in my own bed in three months last night. It didn’t go so well as I was in a lot of pain. It had been a busy day and then last night we had tickets to Elton Johns farewell tour. Our tickets were on the floor and only one section back and we weren’t sure how we would put me in a wheelchair there. But the supervisor put us in the penalty box and gave me the seat in the corner with lots of room to stretch. It was an amazing show, one of the best I’ve seen!

I’m suffering today but that’s ok, gonna take a couple more pain pills and watch F1 qualy. It’s just so nice to be sitting at home.
Jeff, I truly feel for you bud, one of these days in the near future, when we are both healed, we will sit together at the Glen, watching some good racing and enjoying a pint!

Good news, glad to hear that you are able to visit home.
Glad the show was great, although I think Elton has been making farewell tours for about 10 years now, but then so has everybody else (Motley Crue just announced another one).
Hang in there Steve and Jeff.

Guys, this has been done by pretty much every team since the start of formula 1. In the old days if the #1 driver crashed his car they would make the #2 driver give up their car so he could finish the race. In the end it's all about the points because points=money.

I feel like selling my car and buy a Alfa Romeo instead. Totally embarrassing to drive around with a three pointed star after this.
Agreed Rednose......the racing isnt important anymore. Did you see Lewis try to hand Valterri the trophy on the podium? Didnt need to add that slap in the face. I dont give a **** if it's been done before or not. Have some pride and ethics about yourself. Its not like there isnt enough money to go around that sport
