Agreed Rednose......the racing isnt important anymore. Did you see Lewis try to hand Valterri the trophy on the podium? Didnt need to add that slap in the face. I dont give a **** if it's been done before or not. Have some pride and ethics about yourself. Its not like there isnt enough money to go around that sport[/Q
So trying to do scoring from last night and do I even want to ask about race 3. 9 start, 6 finish....Bear changes class again.......Mike rage quits????? I haven't talked to him yet today but that's what it looked like![]()

Well, after my brutal pit work last week, I need to redeem myself with a better showing.
This Monday is Canadian thanksgiving, but racing will go on as normal.
"A" group will drive the classic Lotus 78

"B" group will drive the Lotus 72D

It will be a pedal to the metal night of racing on all of the Classic Monza circuits.

These are two cars that we have never raced before, that's why I picked these two. The 78 is just a smidgen quicker then the 72B.
This sounds like it should be interesting actually. Once you don't spoil it with rain of course.Well, after my brutal pit work last week, I need to redeem myself with a better showing.

So I will be home this Monday night as I go back to the hospital Tuesday morning, that means being able to sit beside my rig and actually come into the room with you guys! See you all then, except for Lobban, he's bringing me lunch tomorrow.
Excellent news Steve, happy to hear it!Shaun, FYI, we raced the 98T and 49C at SPA back in week 35.
Another week of open wheel I miss, look out for when I get back, there's gonna be all kinds of open wheel and cool stuff I've been missing.
Mike's been doing a great job of holding down the fort in my absence, he's even getting pictures in there!
I updated my post above with the results, this way it doesn't look like Mike beat me again!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I got transferred to another hospital back in the city for rehab. My team met this morning and have given me a discharge date of Oct 23. It's not set in stone and could be earlier, I'm shooting for the 19th. I did get great news though, as we are planning on Denise getting a hotel room close by for the rest of my weeknight's so she doesn't have to drive home after visiting me, they will let me stay there as well. That means tonight is my last night in a ******* hospital room! I already get to go home on the weekends now so this was a great added bonus. The room here has four people in it and it sucks, so has been hard to keep my spirits high, but this news has just changed everything. I think 14 weeks in hospitals is enough to wear anyone down!!
This first week of rehab has been exhausting, but I am already starting to notice a big difference. I also have some movement coming back in my left foot which is encouraging.

Also....this was attempted around 6-7 years ago by Michael Waltrip racing. Not only did they get the car removed from the chase but they lost their sponsorship and paid huge fines. I'm pretty sure you will not see this in Nascar again
http://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/c...-leaving-michael-waltrip-racing-chase-scandal
At the time they were bringing in around 75 million a year off of Napa (25 million) just for sponsorship of the car. That incident was the beginning of the end of Michael Waltrip racingI stand corrected. I remember Waltrip getting busted for this, but I did not remember that Nascar hit MWR with penalties and Fines, thanks for the article. I do know that in the past I used to have Dover tickets in turn 3 (Mid to late 90's). I also had a Bearcat Sportcat scanner and from the frequency sheets that I would always pay a dollar for there was always several frequencies that I could not tune in from various drivers. Could be that they were not being used, just registered with that driver so if he needed it he had it. I always took it for a scrambled frequency. My mistake.
But aye aye. The three musketeers yes. When Nick read my post above about Mike bringing me lunch today, he decided to surprise both of us by showing up, my best lunch yet, thanks guys!
For the newer guys, looking at the pic, Mike is on the left, Nick, (drett),on the right.

Just double-checking to make sure. When you say "Classic" Monza circuits". do you mean the "Historic" Monza" circuits"?It will be a pedal to the metal night of racing on all of the Classic Monza circuits.
