I was talking to Gutter and Bear tonight about my Jeep, and realized I've never really showed you guys my real hobby. So... Here's my baby. She's a 1981 Jeep CJ-7. She boasts an AMC 360 motor (Performance Cam - Head work - Intake - Exhaust - Headers - No Dyno, but on paper around 400 HP - I'd guess closer to 380.) Axles are narrowed Dana 44s from a Scout II. Transmission is a Borg Warner T-18 4-speed, with 4:1 creeper. Transfer case is a Dana 300 with twin sticks (I can do RWD, 4WD, or FWD - Hi and Low) . Inside the axles (differentials are my specialty) are Eaton E-Lockers with 4:56 gears - that's fully open differentials until I hit the buttons on the dash - then FULLY locked. If any of you are going to be in the Michigan area during the summer months, give me a few weeks notice. I'll gladly try to scare you on the sand dunes, or a nearby trail. She's a beast, and I've been putting my love into her for about twenty years now.

I know it's not racing related, but you guys are my buddies. So I just wanted to share. (Thank God the car seat is gone from the back now. So hard to look cool with a car seat.)

Who knew there were sand dunes in Michigan, i never would have thought  sweet ride!

Well, for the most part I think that was a fun night. SMS really needs to get this fuel glitch sorted soon :banghead:. And the first running of rain with Live Track was certainly entertaining

Not sure what we're going to do with this Robbie feller, but we'll think of something :mischievous: :D
Congrats to him though for getting bragging rights for the week, and the "Mr. Awesome" title again,

I suggest we run Formula Rookies, I’m pretty bad at those!

Gr8: Nice Jeep! It's cool to see what everyone drives/rides/flies. Not to rub it in, but I'm only about 4.5 hours from Moab and go there every 4-6 months. Dead Horse Point and Arches National Park in Utah are incredible, and in Colorado Pikes Peak, the "Four Corners" and Ouray are all a "must see" if you're out this way.

When Rednose passed me on race 2 i thought somebody whispered shenanigans, once it started to rain it rednose was flying during that rain though, the rain stayed enough that i blew it in the last lap for mphile to come and pass me, THOUGH SHENANIGANS ON HOW HE FINISHED THAT LAP ahaha
Not saying he dodged the puddles by going on the grass but... ;) aha Only the last 100m.

Niiicce!.. that is a sweet ride!

I suggest he runs... backwards, and if he still wins i guess we all go play gt sport.
I’ve got GTSport too Colts, nowhere is safe ;)

More seriously though, I had a blast last night, very tricky to pass at that track... except at the start of race 3! I thought for sure I was going to have to back off cause the cars ahead would fan out but everyone stayed in line. Think I watched maybe 5 or six people myself included nip that curbing on the left of the back straight while braking... sure sends you for a ride after that!

I think this next week will be a lot cleaner than this week, when two cars were racing alone the racing was squeaky clean, but it seemed once it bunched up into multi car stuff our situational awesome took a massive dump. Personally my gameplan with multi car racing is to not be the aggressor when I’m at the back. Sure I’ll stay right up there and try and pressure a mistake, but 90% of the time I’m not looking to pass, because I know if the car ahead attempts to make a pass on the car ahead of him, there’s going to be a door left open somewhere and that’s where you make your move. I like to call it being patiently assertive :lol

Well said Robbie. I think the aggression levels have been increasing, and people are losing patience. We need to focus on racing the cars around us, and not the time clock. The rear-endings are getting old. (That's what she said ).

Yup, it's a beautiful area. I lived in the four corners for 9 years and loved it. It was perfect, except it didn't have an ocean....
I knew I was going to freaking miss Monday. But thanks to @mphile and @coltsjugg I had some fun in practice so it's not all bad. Thanks to @SGETI for the setup too.
Robbie? We don't need to handicap him, we just need to get off our butts and find some speed.
We're comin' for ya Robbie...be afraid. Be VERY afraid...

Anyone gonna be racing tonight? Been doing 18hr days since Monday and think I might be back for a reasonable time tonight and would love to run some. Let me know guy's!

What's the start time? Just getting home now and I'm sure they've already started but thanks for the info. I'll join for sure and start running Wednesdays as well!
He’s starting at 9, opening room at 8:30. I’m just seeing this now as I raced with them tonight.
