"Kind of my thought process was this, and I had thought about a digipot. Go from DS4 to digipot, then digipot to analog pot controls on rig. I think that would work or am I missing something? I'm ok at electronics but no whiz. I have a good buddy that is though, that's where I have seen a digipot."

That should work. I'll get with my dad since he has degrees in both electrical and mechanical engineering, and if you get with your buddy I'm sure we can come up with something that'll work. I use this site for most of my electronics needs: https://www.taydaelectronics.com

I sent you a PM with my email address because I think we're going to lose some of the guys when we start using "math" & "science" yuck. LOL. If anyone else is interested in this project, let us know and we'll include you in on the emails and plans.

@bear: When you're on YouTube, look right under the video and you'll see a "Share" arrow. Click on that, and then at the bottom (on the right side) click "Copy". It will automatically copy the link for you and then you can just paste to into the text box here.

Yep. It copied the link....don't know where it went tho...lol... don't see a paste thingy either...oh well.

Too Ozzy for my liking. Greta van Fleet is coming to Ottawa, ahhhhh, so?

This is more my style. Monster Truck, I believe they are from Winnipeg.
Canadian music rocks.

Ozzy? ... they sound nothing like Black Sabbath, (kick ass band tho) .... I guess we have different tastes in music.
These guys sound like acid rock.

......so I'm thinking of using a frame and seat, then I can mount foot controls where i want and mount whatever type of bars as well. I want to be in a semi nude position but the leaning forward would get uncomfortable after awhile without real world wind and forces acting on you. So a comfortable cushioned pad to lean my torso on would get attached to the chassis.
Yeah but careful you don't fall off that make shift bike and break some bones or worse yet a pelvic in your old age.

Lol. Quite awhile back, shortly after I had finished version number 3 rig, I had drank one glass of rye and coke. Now, this is no ordinary glass, it takes half a bottle of whiskey plus mix to fill it. So I finished said glass before getting up and when I did attempt to get out of my seat, I did a kinda half roll/stumble, got one foot caught up who knows where and promptly drove my right knee into my cement floor, then continued the fall until I was lying face first on the floor. The whiskey numbed the initial pain but man my knee hurt shortly after. Lesson learned, drink more whiskey so you don't feel any pain!

Damn,11 gigs! I'm glad I just swiched my internal HDD to a 2 TB and am using the old 1 TB as an external drive. The size of these game downloads is getting out of control. I can't imagine what it's like to download in an area with slow internet service.

I'll post this here again because a few people have been asking me on the PSN messaging and Community page how to join. There's about a week left for the current event.

The newest event is the “Wailing thru Wales Rally”. Group A (1990s cars) for 12 stages. I know the search function for DiRT Rally was messed up for awhile, that’s why I included the direct link. See you guys Monday night for the Lobanaro Lounge PCars 2 Race.

I can, still DLing, my max is 10MBPS, gonna take about 3 hrs!:banghead: I was texting with Mike and it took him 10 minutes or so......but the trade off's for living out here in the country are worth it!

Don't get your hopes up just yet. It took me about 8 minutes to download the patch, but 4.0 is messed up for a lot of us. It starts up ok, but when I hit the "X" button it takes about 45 seconds for the intro video to begin. When I press "X" again to skip the video and get into the game I get a brief message screen that says: Fun Pack expansion pack is available (has a picture of the Monster Energy Ford Mustang). I already have that pack and then it goes to a blue screen with Error Code (CE-34878-0). Hopefully they'll figure it out fast. Seems about 50% of those who have downloaded the patch are getting the error code. I'd be pissed if it took my 3+ hours to download it just to have the patch be messed up and have to start all over again.

Same thing!

All is working fine here.

I just deleted the game and am going to do a re-install on it. Hopefully that'll work. I'll let you guys know. Here's the official SONY recommendation, and of course I just swapped out my HDD yesterday but everything was running fine before the 4.0 patch. There's no way I'm going back to the original drive because I'm using it as an external drive so I now have 3TB to store games on. I may have to try the Initialization (step#3) if the re-install doesn't work:

CE-34878-0 PS4 Error Code
An error has occurred with the application.
  1. Close the application, install the latest System Software and game updates and restart the system.
  2. If you have upgraded the Hard Disk Drive ("HDD") in your system, please re-install the original HDD.
  3. If the error occurs again, back up your saved data, and then go to [Settings] > [Initialization] and choose [Initialize PS4].
  4. If the error occurs with every application, or as soon as the application starts, please contact PlayStation Support.

Don't bother uninstalling the game and doing a re-install: it didn't work and I'm still getting the error code.

I'll be damned if I'm going to initialize my PS4 again and have to re-download all my other games that are working fine just because SMS/PCars can't get their game updates to work properly.

Oh oh....I'm afraid...very afraid... I'll wait until someone has successfully adjusted the alluvial dampners with their hydrospanners, and replaced their polorized negative power coupling.

I tried all of that, and even reformatted my diflugal diverter and P3n1s transformer. Even the flux capacitor doesn't work properly at 88 mph/141.622 kph in order to cause a vortex to go back to the old version prior to the 4.0 update. E doesn't seem to =MC2 right now. Curse you SMS!

That's bizarre how some of you have big issues yet some of us none at all?
I did get the screen come up about the Fun Pack, told it to ignore it but it stayed there. So I just said to get it, went to PSN store where it will say you already own it and then came back to PC and all worked fine. In the short test I did I noticed right away the smoke in the mirror was gone.
Hope you get it sorted Gutter.

And you guys still think my pit glitches (and everyone else's) and disappearing hud display, reassigning buttons is all my own doing? ... I didn't do nothin, others had their cars shifting into reverse by itself. That problem I haven't had.

I guess I have been very fortunate in that I have had so few problems, and even then it's only the occasional fuel load/tire pressure that I've easily rectified in the ready up room.
I'm not disputing your issues Bear, but you certainly seem to have more than anybody else, and pretty much every week at that. I'd be seriously thinking about wiping the game entirely from your system and starting over with a clean install. Just a thought.

Same issue with fun pack. Took about 30 min for down load. Maybe this will fix my tire pressure issue after pit stop? See some of you on the tracks tonight.

It's digital....
Actually I've noticed a pattern. The first 5-8 people that join the room have very little issues. After that the problems increase as the later ones join. In a full room, the last 2 to join have disco problems, pit stop issues, mikes cutting out. There have been weeks where I have had no problems what so ever. And others did. Even tire pressures stayed good. Then I realized that it was when I was in the first five to join.

I guess I may be very fortunate as well. I can't tell you how many times I would like to have been at anothers house to see exactly how their problem is happening. I feel like if I were there I could fix their problem. I have had the problem of inflated tires but was able to fix that by adjusting the tire pressure even lower for the stop I was anticipating. Just had to do a few test pit stops. It seems like what problems I have had, I have been able to fix or work around to get them fixed

The problem with the error code is that it shows the Fun Pack screen for about 2 seconds then crashes to the blue screen with the error message on it. On the official PCars forum a lot of people are having the same issue and are complaining. I know SMS seems spooked because some user named KrypticTMG (or something like that) is having the problem and is going on YouTube to post it. I guess he must have a lot of subscribers if they actually care what one users problem is.

@Robbie: what are you doing on a Friday night hanging out online with a bunch of BOBs? Go out there and chase some tail, get hammered, and wake up with a tramp stamp tattoo and a vague recollection of dancing with a “woman” who looked suspiciously like Kevin Spacey’s twin sister. Youth really is wasted on the young! Lol
