“Will this fit over aver an existing fat belly?”

Are you saying middle-aged sim racers have more rolls than a Pillsbury bakery? I figured all of you guys were in tip-top shape with all of the racing leagues you belong to. Don’t you have to have cardio and endurance to handle a digital race car on the limits? You know it’s time to shed some beef if you have love handles on the sides of your neck and the back of your head looks like you’re trying to smuggle a package of hotdogs under your skin. A bigger warning to lose weight is if you get out of breath taking a poop and you have a line under your man boobs after you get off of the toilet.

I'm at my wits end trying to get more car volume from my game. If guys are talking , I can't hear my car. I have spent hours trying to find a solution that just isn't there. I know I'm not the only one with this issue. There are so many online links with the same question but no answers. I was really hoping the patch would address this, but, "sigh", it didn't.

From now on, there is NO TALKING AT ALL in the Lobanaro Lounge!!! You,will enter the room and be like Colts......silent. No dirty Gutter jokes that make us laugh, no rude Chinese woman noises, no more Jezzzus Christ mons, no more " I fugged up my pit strategy guys", no more sheep references, no more peanut butter jokes, no more "Aero sucks", no more sorrys, no more grunting noises as you enter a corner too fast and just hang on to it, no farting, no burping, no bong sucking noises, no crunchy chips, absolutely no crying..........there's no crying in racing......or was that baseball? Doesn't matter, no crying.

Really, we are going for the Politically correct stance from now on and imo, it's about time. You guys are so bad, we need a muzzle to tame you wild wanker beasts into some semblance of order.

Bwaaaaaaaaaaaahahaha

Wa wa waaaaaaaaaaah

@Lobban: think about picking up a Turtle Beach Stealth 400 headset. The Target store near me had them on sale for $45 (regularly $80). I think they might now be discontinued and that’s why they’re on sale. I’ve had mine for years and they sound great and are comfortable even wearing them for hours. The best features are the battery life is long, they’re wireless and most importantly they have separate rotary dials for adjusting car volume and voice volume. It’s nice to be able to adjust the sound to the perfect level.

I was gonna say that I do believe a good quality headset will fix your problem Lobban. As much as most of like racing on our ps4's I don't really see how we can say that this or that is really all that expensive. What we do is pretty cheap compared to a lot of hobbies out there. I've heard people tell me they can't believe I spent $500 on a wheel or $1100 on a wheel/pedal setup. In my early 20's all the way up to late 20's I used to play a lot of golf. It was nothing to buy a new driver (just one club) for $450. Then the next year when the new models come out buy another one for $475. It was nothing to buy an individual 3 wood or 5 wood or a 3 club set of Ping wedges for $229. On top of all that spend $60 on round of golf on the weekend and $50 thru the weekdays going to play 9 holes here and 9 holes there. Then on top of that paying $150 a month at my local country club just to be a member. We haven't even gotten into the gas, food, cigarettes, beer.etc.etc. Online racing is by far a hell of a lot cheaper than golf. I've got a pair of Astro A50 headsets I paid $400 for when PS4 came out. Best headsets I've ever had and they still work perfectly to this day. Bought a Thrustmaster T500 when PS4 came out for $500 and it still works perfectly to this day. So yeah what we do isn't expensive in the long run of things

^^^ very true ^^^ @The_Camel. I used to spend way too much money and donated enough clubs to "tricky Pine Tree's" golf courses loved to put in the wrong places. I started to realize if I just aimed for the tree's I'd miss them and land somewhere in the sand.. lol. Golf pisses me off! But it's a good time with some friends if your stocked with cold ones.

pssssst.....What season and weather for Monday night in my GT3 car?
Curious minds want to know. People have to practice with these things in mind you know.
It wasn’t that long ago that the track was not known until race night, then we bowed to the whining! Now you want us to post season and weather, hah!
I will tell you this, it’s not going to snow!
Still wanting that GT3 eh!

Amazon says it will be here Tuesday.
K, but I was just kidding, I didn’t notice any difference!

Well Slobban must have been well medicated for that last post of his! I think we should all talk like Colts this Monday, lol.

His volume thing does suck though, and it is strange because we both have TB PX 22’s and I have no issues with the volume at all.

Hey Camel, have you by any chance got laptimes in the GT3 at Catalunya GP and Nat’l. And fuel usage as well? Or any other Group A Driver. Thanks.

I have Sony Gold, and Logitech 933 Artemis. Both have volume control. Both are nice headsets that work fantastic with EVERY other game. PCars 2 won't turn up enough. Nobody should have to purchase the most expensive headset on the market for a work around. The game is not right, and it shocks me that not everyone experiences it.

I have the same sound issue as Mike (and also have a PX22). I appreciate the suggestions, I'm not convinced it's a headset issue at all - the sound is fine in just about every area of the sim except for online rooms where the engine sound gets drowned out. It was completely fine in PCars1 and GT6 rooms and in Battlefront. No doubt PCars2 offers realistic cheap and safe racing, but if a better quality headset WOULd fix it I would want verification before I drop $400. Mike has a 4K tv and I don't so it's nothing to do with that. I am pretty sure it is a setting, or a bug, in PCars2 and/or the PS4 interface.

Yeah, Mike... we'll be quiet.. sure we will... promise....

I'm with Gr8 on this.

I'll get you some lap times and fuel usage in the next couple hours aero. The reason I brought up headsets being the problem is because mine (they can't be the only headsets) allow for me to adjust game and chat on the headsets themselves. From time to time pending others settings I may have to go in and raise the volums from the system to my headset and then redo the game/chat volumes on my headset. No matter the game or no matter game chat or party chat I can get the right mix every single time.

Same here as Camel; My headset also has separate controls on it for game/car volume and then voice volume levels. In a a party chat I have to go into the PS4 menu and turn up the device volume to medium, and in an online lobby I have to go in the menu and turn it almost all the way down (far left) so I’m not too loud for others in the room. But once that’s set, I can use each dial on the headset to then get the perfect balance of car noise and chat volume. Can’t go wrong with the Stealth 400 for under $50. It does require you to plug the headset transmitter dongle into a USB port, so if you don’t already have one think about getting a multi port 3.0 USB adapter. Why Sony only put 2 USB ports on the PS4 never made any sense, especially putting them only on the front instead of adding some to the back of the PlayStation. I’ve got my headset, wheel, shifter, button box and a Dual Shock controller charging cable plugged into the adapter and have never had any issues with everything staying connected and working properly.

@Gr8_Lakes: Driveclub VR (full game) and DiRT Rally VR (DLC upgrade) are on sale in the Playstation store. I bought both for under $20/total. I don’t have VR yet, but if I decide to get it I’ll already have a couple of games for it. When I used my friends PSVR I had to set up his account on my PS4 so we could try it out because I didn’t have the games. I might see what other VR games are on sale, just in case.

Thanks Camel, appreciate that again. I don’t need them until later in the day tomorrow when I post the laps and fuel required.
Our PX22’s have all that separate control as well, just for some reason on Mikes system it doesn’t work. Very strange!

Got you some info Aero.....

On the GP track after 5 laps I averaged 1.46.60 on time and 2.5 to 2.6 on fuel a lap.

On the National track after 5 laps I averaged 1.11.25 on time and 1.5 on fuel a lap

Posting this from another thread....Re the 3.02 patch update. Might be worthy to note.
I myself have been checking since I came home this evening but have yet to see the update available for N/America region.

"Bumping this as per v3.02 I’m unable to enter an online lobby due to constantly being disconnected... and if this is because all parties need to be on the same version number then that in itself is problematic given it isn’t out in all regions."

I tried racing yesterday and Igot booted from almost every lobby out there. I could not select a car and stay in the room. Only way I could stay was just to join up with whatever car the game gave me. Weird stuff

Was that in Alex and Hazards league where there are Euro's as well?

Strange indeed. Wondering what's going to happen with us tonight.

I'm wondering if we see the update become available between now and race time if we should update or not.

Could be my fault....Europe retaliating because I called them on screwing up the 69 camaro. I went on a rant. Sorry fellas, but that's the one car I really care about. The only reason for buying the whole package.

I just downloaded the fun pack from the Playstation North American store and listed as free since i am a season pass holder.
Who had fun tonight? Well I sure as hell did!!! @GTLehman , some great battles tonight! Love sharing corners with you and trading positions. I'd outbrake you, get the inside, and you'd outpull me on the straight. Rinse and repeat. Man that was fun. @Mike Lobban and @yogi bear , what a great start to the second race, huh? I was pressuring Bear with everything I had, he was defending with everything he had, and Mike was pushing hard to stay within striking distance. Mike knew that there would be an incident as hard as Bear and I were racing each other. Unfortunately, he was right. I was conscious of Mike's strategy, and was being careful to get around Bear cleanly. I did get around him by outbraking him in turn one, but got my tires too hot in doing so. The next couple corners found my little Cayman as squirrely as a... well, squirrel I guess. I tapped the protruding wall, got slowed down significantly, Bear had to lift to miss me, and Mike struck. Lucky B.O.B.

An exciting night. I'm just loving the mixed class racing. Don't have enough good things to say about the courtesy of all the drivers in each class. Everyone's awareness of faster/slower traffic makes this so fun. Thanks to all, and Happy Holidays to all.

And @racingchamp30 , love to see you lurking. Don't know how you've remained so patient. There's so many good things coming to you in just one week. I can't imagine how blown away you're going to be by the new games that PS4 has to offer. GTSport is really fun, and really gorgeous. PCars 2 is just sooo realistic and immersive. You're going to be blown away by the new games. I also think you'll love this Monday night experience. Don't hesitate, jump right in. If you're slow the first couple weeks don't worry about it. It'll just make you catch up that much faster. This group isn't as much about the competitiveness as it is the fun. We look forward to seeing you on track.

Merry Christmas to all you guys. Look forward to seeing you all in some random rooms between now and our next official race night.

Gr8_Lakes / Jeff
