:gtpflag: Cars and Track for Monday June 11th :gtpflag:

We are finally heading many miles east, to the land of the rising sun
images-png.741919

Where we find a place called Sakitto. Though it will be sunny there, they also get this stuff:

So be prepared and we will give details on tracks and conditions later.

The following cars quite enjoy themselves frolicking in the white stuff, as well as sliding around the dry tarmac.

Group A - Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X FQ400

Group B - Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX FQ360

I know I can't race here any time soon (or maybe ever) but I sure do miss you guys and your antics. Always sad to hear about back problems because I've lived my whole life with my dad always having them in one way or another. Wish you the best @Gr8_Lakes. @GTLehman I see your part of the world on the news every night and I worry how it affects you, in daily life and as a pilot. Be safe up there.

It's really nice to see the SNAIL spirit moved on to a better game and you have full rooms every week with like minded people. I watch the streams and that last combo looked great. The Trophy Truck is at home being slid around and powering out. It would be nice to get in on that comradery again if I could but I'm not expecting any handouts. Just keep up the good times and more good times will follow.

Obligatory "wakka wakka" for @aerolite and @Mike Lobban. Penguin out.
Personally I wish you all the best bro. *Soft heart*
Thanks for the kind words too. Cheers.

I can’t believe I’m missing the Evo’s in the snow AND the classic Le Mans DLC! Let me know how they are.

I’ve been watching the Isle Of Man TT coverage on Velocity every night. That event is #1 on my bucket list. The TT fortnight 2018 ends Friday. Here is a cool video for those of you new to the TT (FYI: all of the riders in this video survived these crashes).

@Aero: I’m getting an R6 frame and swing arm to build my bike sim rig on. I’ll have to be picking your brain for some ideas. All I’ve got for welding is a MIG Flux Core, so unfortunately I won’t be able to do any aluminum work.

Mr. Baawesome chiming in. This should be a very interesting race in deed. I want to take a shot at saying that slicks are out, but knowing you 2 BoB's there will probably be a dry race in there somewhere as well as a White Out Blizzard. UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! I may miss the 1st race though. Oldest got nominated for the All county state Lacrosse game for goalie. The game is at 18:00. I should make it back, but I will let you know on the forum and PSN Messenger about my time line when Monday comes.

Mr. Baawesome out.

Hey Cheese. This Sakitto you speak of. Is it on all 4 tracks we'll be racing owa?

Tick tock tick tock......

I went to COTA today for the Canadian GP watch party they were hosting. Went to watch, but ended up driving a Formula car!

Holy crap, there’s a reason F1 drivers are in their 20s, 5’8” and 160 pounds! It’s like getting crammed into a clothes dryer on the high heat setting and maximum tumble. Suggestion: don’t try this on a 100 degree/high humidity day unless you want to risk heat stroke while wearing a Nomex racing suit all in about 10 minutes time. I’m doing the Audi Racing Experience taking out the R8s with the V10 engine next week at COTA. GT Sports-car racing is definitely more my style (race position is more like normal car seating and there is more shoulder room). As a bonus, I won the raffle with Ferrari of Austin. So overall it was an awesome day.

Here’s me getting ready to go out on track. I’m the ugly bald guy in the sunglasses. And nope, I wasn’t pissed off just trying to pay attention to the ignition sequence. My wife calls it my “cop look”. Lol.

Dude... :bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool::bowdown::cool:

Thanks to running PCars with you guys, I placed top time in the simulator so I got to lead the “fast” group out on the track. On the simulator they were testing apex, braking, and track knowledge. Because we’ve run both track versions on Monday night (National and GP), I was able to run it pretty fast. It’s a lot like the game except the g-forces are insane. Aside from the heat and humidity, your neck really takes a beating. I can’t even imagine running an F1 car at full tilt for 2 hours.

Next week they’ll let me record my drive in the Audi R8 V10. I’ll post it here if you guys are interested. The Ferrari package I won today got me 2 F1 tickets and I’ll get to do the Scuderia Ferrari Racing School. Can’t wait!

Oh my goodness @GUTTERBOY3007 , I don't know whether to smile on your good fortune, or cry over my jealousy! That's amazing. I'm sincerely happy and excited for you. I told my wife your fast simulator time proves were racers, not video game players. Good luck with the sports car next week, and congratulations on your open wheeler drive. Of course: Lots more pictures!

Thanks guys, it was a lot of fun. And @gr8 you weren’t lying to your wife: gaming does help you in real life. Once I wrapped my head around the shaking and g-force, it was making sure to hit the braking points and apex just like we do in the game. Knowing the track from sim racing was a huge benefit. The pedal set up was different than what I’m used to but didn’t take too long to figure out.

And @GT, so I don’t look too mean, here’s a pic of me on the Special Operations Response Team and I have a smile on my face.

Tonight will be an udder disaster for me. I have no tune for dry and barely a tune for snow. Looks like I will be losing my BAAWSOME title. Oh well.

Gutter in real life.

Sorry I missed last night. Lacrosse game ended at 20:30 (My daughter went 8 saves on 11 shots and started the game for her team both half's for a total of 20 mins. out of a 60 min game) and we went out to eat after. Hope everyone had a great race and I look forward to seeing the videos.

:gtpflag: Results :gtpflag:

That was a hoot chucking those cars around, they were so closely matched at a couple of the tracks it made for some interesting battles. The snow always makes things interesting, hope most of you enjoy the white stuff.
Alex and I had a close night chasing each other down each race, that was fun, though I did play a bit dirty closing the door on him hard for the last win. I only did that knowing you would still get the overall if we tied. Plus it just wouldn't be right if there wasn't some sort of controversy between us, :dunce:
And who the 🤬 let Camel in again, don't you have baseball to play, jk!

Congrats to @The__Camel, this weeks "Mr. Awesome" for the Group A win
Congrats to @Alex ONeill, this weeks "Mr. Baawesome" for the Group B win

Yeah, I really enjoyed that car in the snow - more than the dry for sure. Had a pretty good duel with Bigtime Dave!

New favorite car: Ferrari 512M. Eat your heart out Stuttgart. Now all I want is a 312B and both 312Ts and I'll die happy.

Now for the magic word .....
Hairball...
