Spot is yours Camel.
No fuel restriction tonight, but, there will still be a mandatory pit stop.
Drive any and all cars from your class if you want.
That is all.

A pitstop is mandatory, so you actually have to stop, but it doesn’t say you need to put fuel in or swap tires... giving little instruction to David???

That’s a bold move, Cotton... let’s see if it pays off

I know I say this every week, but, wow, that was fun. That Testa Rosa is a dream car. Next week the A div. will be driving this class.....without rain.....that sucked in a fun way. I've never short shifted any car like I did in the rain, even then it was pure concentration just to keep the bugger on the track.
GTlaydown.....race one.......your own fault, you came down on me. I liked it!! wa wa waaaaa.
Good racing guys.

You can say that again.
Told you.
.......Once again hardhead, cars with no windshield wipers to wipe rain and especially with no rain/wet tyres available not make to drive with rain, far more race in rain.

Don't do it again.

<----*Ducks and runs like hell*

Why isn't everyone driving the big Merc? I see Rednose has the stones. That beast is one of my favorites in the game. Tons of power, weight, body roll, and a wood grain dash. AWESOME!

In what little time I got to test the cars out yesterday evening the Merc was on average about second and a half faster than the other two cars. The BMW was by far....way more fun to drive and a little more forgiving. Being able to throw that car I to these turns and drive it like a Quarter Midget or Late Model on dirt was a lot of fun....especially in the rain.

Thanks Lobban for allowing me to race with you guys last night. I thoroughly enjoyed it

Good racing guys.

Agree with almost everything. It was an excellent event and I loved every minute of driving those cars. The rain was fun for about three minutes - It seems I lost position in the pits and never regained it back as well as having a few offs, that was too much work for a lazy guy like me.
Well, I'm sorry if you feel I came down on you Mike. Between your feed and my feed, I can tell that I made the turn into the first corner, I went maybe 2/3 across the track and then for the apex on a normal line. At that point you were beside me but had been four wheels out of bounds and came back in to two wheels when you hit me. My coach was yelling about four-wide so there was no place for me to go if I wanted to, but being out of bounds it can't be said that I came down on you. I then became a pinball, so sorry to the others that I ricocheted off of. We all did a very nice job the next two races of threading through that one-car wide chicane.
Good racing all around. Hope Steve and my #1fan enjoyed it, looking forward to next week.

Not that time.......that was just a start Farg up, no biggie. It was later on in the race on a left hander, I got a run on the inside, kept my line and I think you wobbled a bit, ****** down on me and just tickled my RSide door. Again, no biggie, cause you got the worst of it. The start was scary, I had to go off to avoid Dret, who got a slow start. I tried to keep it as wide as possible to avoid any first turn contact. I don't think I was the cause of that kerfuffle but I apologize if I was.
Just for David, we'll drive at COTA, in Karts, in a thunderstorm. Lord have a hand.

Always fun racing with everyone in our group. Wish I had gone with the testarossa instead of the 250. Rain was better than in the past. Glad it was kept to a short race, and they you really appreciate that group grou on the next race!

How about formula R or C? I feel like we'd have some good races with those cars and we don't seem to do much open wheel racing. Just a thought.

Ahhh., I vaguely remember that (vaguely, but I thought we were generally seperated the rest of that first race) - apologies Mike, it didn't stick imn my mind because it wss more minor. It was a wobbly car for sure. I think I wobbled into Camel in Quali maybe, apologies for that as well.
I'll try the Karts, I think they'd be good at that small Oscheterlabben track as well maybe. Thanks again for last night though (oh, that didn't come out right).
I'm with Hobbs for some open wheel, but you know very well my vote is for the classics.
Cheers.

During testing I was quite surprised to see the merc's superior lap performance over the BMW, and even more surprised to see I was the only one choosing it for the race. As long as I could keep the beemer behind in the corners I knew there were no chance for it in the straight. @SGETI and I were head to head after the pit stops, but unfortunately he spun out. Not sure if I left enough room or if he ran wide, but the battle was fierce up to that point. It fades out towards the end with heating tires, but I got the pressures to settle around the 1.80 bar on all four corners. Good thing the first race was in cooler weather.

At the start of the rainy race it felt like taking candy from a child. The merc just handled it very well. When the track started to get very wet the gap to the Camel's beemer seemed to settle down a bit, although to maintain a constant gap with the Camel says a lot for the merc.

I decided to take the beemer for the last race, partly because I wanted to and partly because the merc's tires are getting a bit hot in the sunny summer afternoons. Corning with the beemer was a blast.

Good choice of cars. I'm sorry I had to leave one Emma on the shelf.

You should try the 250gt, camel, you can throw that thing around and steer with the throttle.

I watched a lot of the races last night. Just loved when @Rednose58 would get the Merc pointed in a straight line "and let the big dog eat!" That car's just so friggin' cool, especially since it was actually successful in it's class back in the day. In the rain it was just, "See ya, folks. Catch ya in the next round." I was not surprised to see Red change it up for the third race though. After that many laps I'm sure he was ready for something a little lighter on it's feet.

I kind of agree with David on the windshield wiper issue. No wipers should mean no rain. The sim racers aren't driving their cars from a helicopter that hovers over their cars - better known as "vaginal view." Shot's fired!!!

With all the comments on how much both divisions liked their respective cars, let's just reverse the classes for next week......at a different location of course, with no rain. More details tomorrow. I also, like having more than one car to pick from each class and using each one for each race, it just puts more selection in your hands. We'll do that much more often.
I think I've been on a vintage kick since I learned how to race them properly, I used to hate them.
Open wheels you want, open wheels you will get the week after, I have a plan.

if it’s anything along the lines of formula fords, I’m in for that week 100%

The series is going nostalgic, and I'm on the sidelines. :( This is the type of series @yogi bear and I would create if we had the capability. I love that you're becoming more of a fan of the older stuff @Mike Lobban .

Definitely giving me incentive to get back as soon as possible. Already have an appointment on Thursday to design a pre-surgical physical therapy program. Reasoning is, since my number of P.T. visits approved by insurance per year rolls over at the new year, I may as well use up the rest of my visits for 2018 to build core strength that will lead to a speedy recovery post-op. Also have an appointment with another surgeon set up in a couple weeks to see if we can get something done sooner. I'm doing everything I can guys, I want back so bad!
