Hey guys, you’ll get a kick out o this. Aeroindabum will be creaming his jeans.
It’s a pretty funny vid.

hahaha.......now, check out any video on the 2019 MX5, (especially the RF with BBS wheels and Brembo brakes), and see what every single tester says, with a big smile on their faces, that it's probably the best roadster ever.
The only thing I hate about it, the stupid infotainment screen sticking up out of the dash, ruins the interior. Almost a deal breaker.
So, a brand new MX5 RF GT with Grand Sport package for Cdn $45k, or a used C7 Z51 Vette (mid $50's). I'll have to test drive the MX5 first.

The yellow Vette is in Edmonton, might have to get Red to go pick it up for me. I do like the blue one as well.

I just missed out the chance to drive an MX-5 last weekend as a rental for our weekend getaway. Next time for sure.
My 'pinion?
I drove my '87 MR2 for 20 years and loved every minute of it. It was light, maneuverable and just fun - curvy roads and off ramps were a joy - it was basically a road-going Go Kart. Never won any drag races, but I didn't have to slow down for off ramps like Camaros and such do. It was spooky on slick roads, but it was also good because it was very easy to catch slides and such.
My STI was better in the snow, but not as much fun for curvy driving (@Hanable may disagree, but he's got all that talent). The STI had gobs sf acceleration, but there weren't many times I could use it safely. I think you'd have more fun with the MX-5. Unless you an get to a track, I think the Corvette's muscle will be wasted on the road and/or you'll need a second job for the speeding tickets. Of course you do live in a relatively wide open area, so I might be wrong about both of those things.
Get the MX-5, it's a convertible. And I'm sure, even though it's not a Miata, they can get you one in pink.
- if you do get the Vette, absolutely get the yellow.

Here I'll sell you my 65 Impala for $30000. Standard steering, standard drum brakes ,3 on the tree. Way more fun than that new fangled crap. Plus the smell is awesome. I might be bribed into selling my 71 Chevelle too. In process right now.

I do like older cars, had two older Chevelles way back. Problem is they don't make very good track day cars. I also really like all the modern amenities, (except for that screen in the MX5). I'm pretty sure the MX5 would be the better track day car, but the allure of the 455HP V8 in the Vette would give me what I want, that put you back in your seat acceleration, along with a decent car for the track and all the comforts of a modern day car. As I won't be able to ride a big powerful bike again, the Vette will give me the thrill I still want. I took a friends '17 Z51 for a drive and it sure was impressive.

I like all the power and handling of new cars/trucks to. I drive a brand new Dodge Dually with 392 Hemi in it. Insane torque and you can smoke the tires for a mile. My friend has a Hell Cat. Brutal power, scared the 🤬 right out of me. Myself,I'd take the Vette.

. I tried to copy a link, but not successful. Google 69 camaro vs ferrari Italian 458 on you tube...I'm not sure what track it's on.

Next time we run the escort can we all race them instead of being in a class. I would like to race and mix it up with the b guys too. Fun night racing folks.

Here ya go Hanable, ask and you will receive 💡 A four race night, all one group, same car all night. We will throw a Wanker Flag, (caution), halfway during each race.
If we end up with max 12 drivers, we will go to a couple of tracks that only permit that number and drop a couple of the ones shown. Or maybe do six shorter races, we'll see :D

That’s one way to get the vote of a very specific demographic. Those guys were a little too fast to drop down and accept his cream in their mouth, obviously not their first time. Could have been worse, I guess...

Cool. Hey you know the regular escort is just as fun as the rally one you just gotta put the right tires on it. The all terran version i think. So if you still want to a or b class or switch from the rally version to the street version. I dont think its much of a performance difference between the two.

Looks like a lot of fun for my last race night this year. I thought I will still have one the next week, but we are flying just after mid night on the night of the 16th. Let's not make it a wreck fest.

:gtpflag: Race Day :gtpflag:

All in one group and the same car tonight.

So here is the plan for tonight. If more than 12 people show up, we will run the standard four race format as below, except there will be a caution halfway through.

If 12 or less show up, we are going to run at 8 tracks, 6 of which we have never raced, are quite short, and have no pits. The 2 that do have pits we will do a regular qualy before the race, but the others we will run a quick 5 min race before each so you get a chance to see the layout, much like we do when we run at Mojave. The short tracks will be tricky to avoid contact, but I know all will be at their very best trying to run clean. Remember, if you take someone out, please wait for them and also watch the track re-entries, there will be a lot of traffic. In a nutshell Mr. Lehman, that means leaving Wreckfest for Friday night :grumpy:
The 8 races will be around 10 min's each. I have listed the tracks at the end of this post.
