Busted, what wheel do you have? Also, keep FFB up to the max. Gives the most feel for what's going on. Need strong arms lol

@busted
I wouldn't want that either . I only mention this because everyone has seen at least one crash over the last couple weeks and now asking to drop damage for a race. I wouldn't want settings to change so we could race 1000pp and bump all over the track either. If you can only stay clean at 400 that's where you begin. I think we were/are in a transition with this damage, and don't really see it a problem/limitation in the future

@USERID_77a23 Now that's what I'm talking about putting your 2 cents in with good solid points that I can use Thank you.

Just to hammer the point home, I used to race late models at the local dirt track. Near the end of my rookie year, I finally won the B feature and transferred to the A main for the first time. I was so excited I wanted to go out and prove myself. On the start I got a run on the guy in front of me and dove under him into turn one. I had thrown the car in too hard though and spun. The guy behind me hit me head on and my race was over. 3 weeks and about $1500 later I was able to get back out there.

That's what racing is. if you want to ride like lightning you'll crash like thunder. A key element to racing is learning to push yourself without crossing that fine line because one wrong move can have big consequences. Heavy damage is as important to the SIM aspect of gt6 as anything else. It will make better, more discerning drivers of us all.

How well does the clutch work with GT6? And the H-gate shifter is nice? Also comes with a sequential?
yep the clutch works pretty good as long as your on a suitable track. IDK for sure as I've never owned a manual transmission car & it takes a long time to get used to because your always changing shifter types per car spec. Iow- you have to learn all 3 at once sep for the paddles they work on everything. My shifter is not in the right spot anyways LOL still in the blueprint stage of my real rig I have all the material though.

Sorry I have been ultra mega busy. Hope I can make it this week, although round 3 is somewhat off putting if I can be honest. I'll give it a go though and maybe it'll be the most fun, we'll see. Its definitely different. As long as its a clean race though it'll be fun

I'm extremely reluctant myself Whitey. My hope is everone will take a big dose of PATIENCE. There is no pit and Damage is HEAVY. Maybe use this one as a chance to work on throttle control, braking, and track awareness (where other cars are). And be content with holding position or gaining a couple positions.

I'm thinking of trying a late night shuffle. 12am eastern . Interested parties let me know. Anyone with out the cars please check out Lightning Shuffle thread

"off putting" "extremely reluctant"?

Defeatist are a total buzzkill. A little encouragement goes a long way I have faith in our racers if it flops at least we I tried.

If I'm on I'll certainly join

Just being honest although I believe I conveyed I'm all onboard to try it and am open minded to it at least. I am just one voice and carry no more weight than that though. I wish you could set up a stage by stage rally comp and drive solo but simultaneously. That would be a more proper rally sim style. Or if there were a 1/4 mile dirt oval in the game, that would be some great action!

CAgrown805 looking for good racing i would like to join the league
CA,
Welcome to S.T.a.R. Racing League!

Our goal is to make your online racing experience the very best it can possibly be through the observance of High Quality Racecraft. Please take a moment to read the OLR (online racing rules) and familiarize yourself with its major points. Negligent or reckless drivers are not tolerated here at S.T.a.R. and all members are required to exhibit Good Racecraft at all times.

Races are on Sunday @ 16:00 EST/21:00 GMT featuring Spec & Tuned races as well as Race Cars and lasts approximately 2 hrs. Your'e not required to attend all or any of the races. Simply show up and race when you want but please do have your cars ready as we cannot deviate from our schedule if you're not prepared. Administration generally has the car/track combos for each week posted by Tuesday so as to leave racers with enough time to fully acquaint themselves with all three combos. A fixed practice schedule has not been created as yet but we welcome & encourage posts on the thread if your looking for someone to practice with.

If you haven't already done so, please post your PSN ID, Car/Rim color scheme & race car number on this thread; and submit your TT results as soon as you can, otherwise you cannot race in scheduled S.T.a.R. Events until we have this information. We know your time is valuable and you have many different leagues to pick from and we thank you for choosing S.T.a.R. Racing League.

Fraternally Yours;

S.T.a.R. Racing League Administration,
Coach

I think today went quite well. We had some brand new guys and each race seemed to have some great battles. I hope the "rookies" to the league enjoyed it and will make it a regular event.

As for the Rally race, it was far more fun and better than I expected. I was very concerned, but you guys handled it like true professionals you are. Thank BustedFoSho for talking me into that one. He gets all the credit. Busted, my hat's off to you. :bowdown:

Coach
